    RCT2 Team Park

Just Say that you are going to do it, and then start building. While the first person is building, just post that you wish to go next, and then you will go next once the first person is done. First come first served. So in short, first come first served. If you want to go first Joz, just go right ahead. Another point to note: there are 7 islands including the entrance area, so there are 6 more spots left to fill. I didnt want to do too many as it would take too long to fill the park/ find people willing to do it. Oh, and no expansions since most people dont have them.

    RCT2 Team Park

I have decided to go with Joz's idea and do a sort of "pass it around" team park. I have made a Sceneario as the template, and built my section of the park, a South American tin mine themed area. The park is divided up into islands separated by rivers. Each person takes an island and uses all of it to develop an area of a paticular theme (different to existing themes in the park). Then you uplaod the game save, and the next person takes the game save and builds their section onto it, this process continues till all the parks islands are used. When building your island, build a bridge halfway across to islands next to yours, and if someone before you has already made a bridge, build the other half so it connects to yours. This will make the park interconnected properly. When the park is finished, someone will build a monorail around the park connecting all the islands. A couple of things to keep in mind: -dont just plonk rides over the rivers willy nilly, try to keep them on the your island as it will look tacky if they are just on the water. I dont mind if its a ride that needs to be built on water (eg jet skis, submarines, canoes ect), nor do i mind if you just hang a corner of a tracked ride over the water or two. -Dont edit other peoples sections. -Only use items included in the scenario, no custom items. -One Island per person. Have fun everyone and try your best, it will be great to see the end product. Any questions, just ask. Here is the scenario everyone will need:
  3. not enough room? Have a look at this shot, http://www.rcdb.com/ig2905.htm?picture=23 they managed to fit in a couple in the tiny space shown.
  4. Yeah, he can fly to the 6FMM Airport
  5. Yeah, I saw that on the Great outdoors once, very impressive. The park was "Wild wadi water park"
  6. Not true, Intamin Accelerators such as Kanonen and Storn Runner have inversions.
  7. I know exactly what you mean, but I dont think they could realisticaly do a show with the Human members of the wiggles every day, it would cost too much to pay them and it would stop them from doing shows elsewhere. However with the costumed characters, normal staff could be used and the show could be done every day.
  8. I could do the base park in RCT2 since I have no custom scenery on my computer, nor any addons. But I want suggestions on the Scenery types to pick for the park, and the number of Islands to make. Maybe we just need to do two parks, one for RCT2 and one for RCT3, that way anyone can take park, and if you have both, you can do a bit in each park.
  9. I dont have RCT3 so I cant do it. I like the IOA idea though. Maybe an idea is an area with lots if islands with river type things separating them. Maybe it could be called "Deltas of Adventure. Just a question to teki or Matty_0, do either of you have RCT2?
  10. Ill do it, I like the sectioned Idea because each person can do their own thing, i allready have an idea for a South American Copper mine sort of thing. Also, if we do it in RCT2 it will be more accessible to more people, and it can easily be stepped up to RCT3 for those who want to see it in 3D. Plus in RCT2 you can do underground stuff, which I like the idea of.
  11. Id prefer RCT2 since i have it and RCT2 can better handle big parks.
  12. I think its probable that the stage shows will feature the side characters rather than the wiggles. Because they wear a full costume, they would be able to cheaply do the show.
  13. Im dragging up an old thread here, but the ride is finished now and is being tested. The coaster layout looks cool, but the theming doesn't seem as good as what was expected, apparrently, to them, a multideck car park is just a concrete wall with "parking" written on it. 14. I think that it may not contain many rides, but rather just buildings that kids can go into to do stuff, for example "Wag the Dogs' kennel" where kids can go in and it would be like a play room with doggy sort of stuff and a guy in a costume that kids can swamp around. Another thing could be a wiggles sing along thing where there are wiggles songs that kids can sing along to with a microphone. I remember seeing at the AFL Hall of Fame last year a place called "mascot manor" which was like the kids area, and one of the things was a karaoke thing were kids could pick a club song and sing along to it, so the wiggles thing could be like that. What about Dorothy the Dinosaurs' rose garden (naturally you would need to use thornless roses being around kids) or what about Captain Featherswords treasure cave, and indoor playground suited more to toddlers than the one in Nick Central. Maybe there could be a Green Wall type thing where kids can star virtually in a wiggles concert. Naturally a stage show would form part of the area. I know all these ideas sound lame, but kids would like them, and I can see DW chosing more of a place where kids hang out, rather than an area with rides.
  15. Corkscrew, earlier on it was mentioned by Bussy that BB used a button system, then Adam asked if it (corkscrew) used the same system. Thats what I gather anyway, for all I know this could be about Scooby.
  16. The ones on the TOT are still electromagnets and the brakes on GD are still permanent magnets, and the types of magnets they are hasnt changed since the last time the magnetic brake/launch topic was brought up. Have a dig through the forums and you will find explanations of how the magnets work. This topic has been discussed ad waaayyyyy too many times.
  17. I think the way to go would be to build vertical or linear rides as Joz has said. Types that could be built include: Impulse Coaster Halfpipe coaster Ball Coaster Space Shot Gyro Drop Thrilling Flat ride Vekoma Mad House Observation Wheel Coaster Wheel The park could also try compact coaster layouts (like Daemon at Tivoli Gardens, or coasters that have open cicumnaveragal layouts around areas of the park, for example a coaster that does a lap around the waterpark. A ride might be able to make use of the roof space above bermuda, but there would need to be some modifications to the roof. Or prehaps a coaster could be designed to have a narrow out and back layout, for example, there would be a lift straight out of the station, then a straight drop, then a zero g roll (a fairly straight element) then a cobra roll to be like the turnaround, then a vertical loop, then an airtime hill and the MCBR, then after that another straight drop followed by a corkscrew or two, then some compact twists and turns to bring it back to the station.
  18. I didn't really have a problem with the spelling, all of the words were correct, all he did was miss one full stop, its not lkie he wrot hiz 7entire postt like dis.
  19. To tell you the truth, I dont think a water ride makes that much noise, if the "river" parts of the ride were near tiger island then there would be no problem because all there would be is the sound of water gently flowing. people wouldnt scream on those parts either. The final drop could be placed in a way that if faces away from tiger island. They could also use a sound barrier like on WWF to keep things quiet.
  20. Ill be keeping an eye out since the trucks may come through my town since Shepparton is along one of the main Melbourne to Brisbane routes. They could be going along the princess hwy to melbourne, then up the hume hwy, then up the GV hwy and onto the Newell hwy. Another thing to note, I couldn't find any steel fabricators based in Nerang on www.yellowpages.com.au.
  21. Being made in Nerang? Where did you get that info from?
  22. Nothing has really been announced yet, but I actually am betting on the former since the park has some pretty original things. Their spinning coaster and rapids ride have raised the bar a bit and have used new never before seen elements.
