I was just wondering, what would everyone do if they were at the reins of DW? Here is what I would do: -Build a launch tube around TOTs LIM section (Like the tunnels on California Screamin, it would cut noise, make the launch interesting and allow the ride to run in the wet. -Have more ops working on the major rides. -Make TOTs queue line run toward giant drop and move model T lane to near Farmyard Friends, I would then use the land for a new 'Doom' themed area, with a simulator ride added in, maybe call it Bot or something, this would make these rides sort of match together a bit better in their own area. -Use the old Thunderbolt site for a Natural disaster themed area, with a ride for each of the four elements, cyclone covers the element of wind, an intamin spillwater would be added and named something like "ragin' river floods" to cover the element of water, a huss breadance named earthquake would cover the element of stone and a B&M floorless themed to a volcano would cover the element of fire. -Have the park open on Friday and Saturday Nights during summer. -Expand the waterpark and operate it year round, Its in QLD for goodness sake. Well, thats all i can think of for now, what does everyone else think the park should do?

Hey Joz, can you shed some light on the situation for us?
-
Yeah, I do, Its in my profile.
-
Dont you have a bacon burger ? We get a lot of early morning hungover people come through, but they end up spewing in the car park. We also seem to find lost of beer cans and bottles.
-
What about the magic carpet slide?
-
Hey look, theres that german Wodnerland again, I think I may have found the parks long lost brother :http://www.rcdb.com/locationdetail367.htm. Please put your photos up as jpgs, they take up less space and we can view them directly, not after a download.

Yeah I thought you had left us permanently. Spelling and grammar have been terrible latley, pull out the red marker again .

I dont make rides like that becasue thats boring and makes the ride very square, Im a big fan of huge twisted rides, not something made out of pre fab. Using pre fab is a bit lazy and something beginners do. What more can you say about these unique rides, they're crazy, but I did once see a pic of a ride in China which was a coaster that had a cable that supported the car, and the car would actually go off the end of the track, RCT crash style, and swing back and foward, i,ll have to find a pic.

Well, we have a whole library of prefab elements so that can make things easier, but I have learnt how to make my own elements now so I dont need them. I personally think the track building systme should stay, Its a simulation game so I want the greatest amount of control possible. I wouldnt get to exited over RCT track importing, they are terribly rough and because the curves up to slopes are set, the Gs become too high. Its much more enjoyable to make your own. One feature I really want in V 1.5 is the ablity to rotate in orthogonal views, when you build stuff that goes diagonaly across the map it becomes distorted in the side views, so we should be able to rotate along the X axis, while keeping everything in the same scale to assist in buliding these track sections.

Yes, but i dont think riding it again will be of much interest to some, Im looking foward to making some good shuttles, but I think that people will just start making heaps of them instead of the more traditional kind of coaster on coaster sims because they would be easier.
-
Yeah, It didnt really hurt for me either, but thats because I had my hands on the metal so my head wouldnt hit, which kind of meant I couldn't enjoy it as much as how it would have been with lap bars.
-
Yes, you will be able to, but they are being mean and including all the obvious shuttle coaster recreations (eg Boomerang, Impulse, Deja Vu etc.) with the game so I guess we will have to come up with our own.
-
Yeah, exept there the bars have no padding on the side parts.
-
The best stratergy would be to put a big evil fiberglass lobster at the entrance so It would fit in with ocean parade . But maybe it will work if they make it very seprate from ocean parade, the easiest way to do this is face the sign toward central plaza and maybe do gardens that match with central plaza. I still think my Mayday Idea is better than what they came up with. Oh well the ride is still gonna kick.

I rode a version of that at the Shepparton show but it had OSTRs, it was the worst dose of headbanging I had ever had, especialy when It does the side to side part of the cycle. Never again.

A zero G is very different to an inline twist. You got an inline twists definiton right, but a zero g roll is a heartilined twist in the track at the peak of a hill. Zero G: http://www.rcdb.com/pictures/picmax/six-fl...on-coaster3.jpg Inline Twist: http://www.rcdb.com/pictures/picmax/superl...and/kumba12.jpg The element you described as a zero g roll is acutally a barrel roll: http://www.rcdb.com/pictures/picmax/sarkan...rk/tornado5.jpg Prehaps you need to look at this site: http://www.coasterforce.com/info/inversions.php
-
Not that I know of, It has a roll over (Sea serpent roll) sidewinder and a double inline twist (double spin). No Australian coasters feature Zero G Rolls

I was looking on the net and I came across the website for prehaps the worlds most unique ride manufacturer. A couple of their rides include a water ride with some pretty good airtime and a self service coaster (if you dont belive its a coaster then check out this link . There is also a kids ride with inversion I want one in my backyard . Edit : the site is wierd, every page has the same URL, just click on "products"

Hey Joz, I was just looking over your SW site (fairly good site) but one thing that made me laugh was the disclaimer:
-
I thought they were called a tear drop loop or a clothoid loop.
-
A far cry from the professionalism of this site , but what is with all the slashes that pepper the captions?
-
Were you drinking red cordial when you wrote the captions for the pics?
-
They dont make loops that are perfectly circular because the G force is too high. The only exeption is on some of Schwarzkophs transportables which have them, but they are arranged in pairs and classified as parralel loops. anyway, the point I was making was that no matter what kind of loop it is, they are still classified as vertical loops.
-
They're all still vertical loops.
-
cool, glad you enjoyed it, but with the coaster elemets you have experienced, when have you been on a zero g roll? and what is the difference between a 360* loop and a vertical loop?
