  1. How many letters? that will really help, or maybe you could do one of those things where all the letters are jumbled up. Anyway, how can you get in trouble, DW aren't gonna track you down with the cyber crimes unit and why do they care if 100 or so people who geniunely want to know find out, the GP dosn't know a thing anyway, hell, I even told someone who was planning a trip up to QLD about and they didn't know what a Gyro Swing was! And when I tried to explain it they still didn't understand. Just tell us.
  2. Was it deleted? or is wonderbus2003's real name Daniel? Daniels last post was back on march 28th. The way we are gonna get new rides is by you starting a carnival ride company
  3. Uh, Daniels only post was about when the TOT was built. What about spin dragon? who made that? just get them to make another one. One thing i'd like ot see come onto our circut is a pinfari express..
  4. Again, maybe a mini frizbee could be made, we have a portable pirate ship so it could be the same structure, just with a 12-15 rider or so car.
  5. Maybe they could make a mini top spin that comes under weight restrictions, and have 2 of them running to keep capactiy up, or maybe they could get special permission to drive with heavier trucks, it happens when they have to move large bits of machinery over the continent (i remember it being in the paper when this massive bit of mining equipment came through town)
  6. LOL, good one richo. Dont really see what sets huss apart from other ride makers anyway. Of course the ride is in the middle of "crap", its a construction site. Check out http://www.waterfrontcity.com.au, its got some nice pics of how the finished product will look, and it seems like a better than federation square. Still would have prefered the park, even if it was just a few modern rides with equaly modern buildings as a part of the development. But the waterpark is nothing to be sneezed at and no doubt i will be spending hundreds on V-line tickets to visit frequently when it opens (if it opens) But i guess something cool may happen down the track elsewhere....
  7. I'll tell you that one part of the ride smells like a dairy factory.
  8. Too bad no one will ever get to ride it now, it was destroyed in the 1995 Kobe earthquake and it wasnt rebuilt. Well personally, I think that the wheel will be sucessful, some of Melbourne's newer attractions have been well recieved, and being located in such a good place in Melbourne, it will do well, I suppose I'd ride it (when its built) when I'm down there, something to do before going into Telstra Dome. As for Melbounes weather, well everyone still goes places when its wet and the cabins are enclosed. Now, for the water park, well Im really hoping it gets built, Again, I think it would be popular, especialy being in the middle of the suburbs, so its easily accesible. Again weather wont be an issue becasue there is always summer and anyway, If its costing $700 mill, you could expect a nice heating system to be in that price, or possibly, an eclosed complex (if the latter is the case, I hope there is a retractable roof) There would be no problems geting people to come, and wouldnt having them attract more tourists? they wouldnt just focus on the locals.
  9. Is the wheel base in front of where the seats are, so that when the car goes around the corner, it goes outwards like you said? eg. I I I I_________
  10. Umm, why are HMS Endeavour and Dragons Flight in the SW page?
  11. The big hole is like where rides dropping floor (so riders dont smash their legs as the ride swings). When finsihed the floor will be made up of 8 pie shaped wedges that lold down. You can bet the big hole is where the center point of the ride is.
  12. Why not just give us the dictionary defintion? Your not giving the name out but we will get to know it.
  13. What were the Mt Druitt Water Works, Im assuming it was some sort of a waterpark. Has anyone got any pics etc?
  14. Here is a design I did in NL for Movie Worlds hypothetical B&M sitdown, Named Superman: Kryptonite twister. It is an L shaped design so it could be slotted into a corner and it has 8 inversions.
  15. Ah ok, i was under the impression it said something about a "Teen Market Ride" becasue of the pics caption. And obstructure, tell meeeeee, teeeel meeeeeeeeeee.
  16. Hey Richo, In the first pic in your gyro swing update, what does the yellow banner on the white fence say?
  17. Well what about the Vekoma factor? They have new train designs for their SLCs, Sitdowns and Roller Skaters, so why not? You cant complain of roughness anymore. And they now have a 10 loop LIM coaster (almost 11 inversions, has a 140* overbanked turn) as a premade design, so why not build a good ride without the custom design costs. Id love one. Back for what Rich was saying about Intamins being cookie cutter, I sort of see what you mean, its like its been made in RCT.
  18. Its because the zero-g's (the airtime) occur at the peak of a hill, so if they make the roll at the top of the peak, a floating sensation through the element can be achived. We wont ever see a flat line on at the end of a ride because B&M dont do barrel rolls.Intamins are OK, but B&Ms can be cookie cutter to,o a lot of them seem to follow the loop, zero-g roll, cobral roll, corkscrew formula, give or take an element. Its about time they started making entirley new elements (such as an incilne loop sea serpent roll) , transfering elemtents form other coasters (the incline loop) or using their lesser featured elements (batwing).
  19. Can you actually do a specific course for Theme Parks? I have pretty much given up on a job in the industry, not enough openings and I dont want to do an enginnering course specificaly for ride design becuase if I cant get a job at a manufacuter, Im stuck with a degree for an industry that doesnt really interest me. I think Ill become an Architect. Id suggest just getting a foot in the door at LPS if you can, its the only real oppurtunity in NSW so its better than nothing. If you do get a job there, show that you are switched on and see what happens from there.
  20. Twister is two intertwined waterslides, intertwinded in a similar way to how rope is done. It pretty fast, and exiting but it was a bit painful as I had a sore chest after riding, and it dizzies you pretty bad. But I was way younger when I rode so maybe that contributed. As for best the best slide, well I havent been back since pre - super 8 aqua racer so I can really only say that terror canyon and river rapids were the best slides. But that was then and nowdays I reckon it would have to be Mammoth falls, It looks cool and its like a thunder river with lots of re-ridability. BTW, dont turn into ASHLEE, make your posts a tad longer. But at least they make sense.
  21. Just tell us, Im bored with this game, if you know info, you might keep people in suspense for a day or so, but not a week, thats just being annoying.
  22. Yeah, too bad B&M dont use their cool zero-g rolls on their standups. Im more concerned that we get a coaster with lots of inversions and intenisty, our only operating sit down looper has 2 inversions. As for themeing, the low to the ground sections are the part where theming matters most, dont give a stuff for the high up sections, just some nice dense plantings are good enough for me.
  23. Looks good, nice and comprehensive photos that give a good feel for the rides. One minor correction in the captions to do with the demon, the vekoma boomerang is not the most common coaster in the world, it is the pinfari MB28, otherwise known as the big apple.
  24. I reckon they could do a fair bit, not neccisarrily all of it in 3 weeks, just the stuff that needs a closure becasue its in the way of operation, I mean, erecting a theme element next to the ride could be done during operation (if it wasnt too close).
