Well, it wont be a kids ride, since that wont rock our world, and it wont be an adventure ride since that wont really rock unless its a disney standard one, so im guessing its a thrill ride, in which MW is lacking. Is it a B&M? I hope it is. Or maybe a hyper, that would rock. I dont think it will be a flat because they are cool, but not that cool. Come on Rabid, give us a better clue, maybe one better than what Obstructure was giving us. Ah well, Ill wait, Maybe MW has been saving money by putting in cheaper attractions like OME. If they could spend $15 million on a wild mouse, Its pretty certain they could spend double that on a multi looper.

A queue along the side of the track would be easy as, you would just have it on its own set of supports nad have it not touching any part of the ride to avoid vibrations. The glass would just be the same as what is used on animal exhibits. Hmmm, well the emergency evacutation theme works well and is an excuse for people to be on the ride, I suppose if you wanted to make TOTs station seem different, you could have lights in the station that are red when you are launched out, but green when you arrive back. I suppose my Volcano Coaster is using the emergency evacuation theme, but it is different in the way that it is not all technological and stuff, but rather a very island village theme, i'll have to draw a design and show how it would look. I also have some ideas regarding thunder river. You could get one of those giant tipping buckets like the ones on water playgrounds (There is one like it in Townsville) and make it look all rustic and place it beside the channel, and if your raft was in the way when the bucket happened to tip well...... Pic: http://www.whitewaterwest.com/AquaPlay/ap%...p%20pic-01.html There would also be those old style water pumps (the ones that are like taps where you pull the handle up and down) Pic: http://www.ajayindustrial.com/jpg/p1.jpg There could also be a thunderbox up on stilts that has water cascading from under the door like a waterfall beside the channel. Another feature could be wooden barrels with gunshot holes in them that leak water out or a rusty boiler that shoots mist out randomly from the cracks in it. But the main water SFX would be a pile of mine blasting equipment, (such as TNT crates, powder kegs, dynamite sticks etc) the would be aranged in an untidy stack so pipes could be fitted in the gaps between them. A nearby elevated water tank would get the water pressure up, and when a raft trips the sensor, a valve would open sending a rush of water out of the tank and through the pipes and out the outlets in the stack sending an explosion of water over the raft, orange and red waterproof lights would also flash during the water explosion to give the impression the blasting equipment had caused the explosion. The sensor could be set up to randomly activate the effect, so some people would get only a small water explosion, while others would get a full power drenching, leaving them soaked. The ride would have a couple of con operated squirt guns and gold mining paraphanalia spread about, such as gold pans, shovels, tents etc. If the ride was like this it could fit really well with gold rush, far better than the jungle animals.

LOL, maybe the ride could have a big monster perched over the entrance, now that would be cool, and it could be like it was trying to swipe at the ride.
-
Nah, Ride trades gyro swing looks like a swinging bicycle wheel.
-
Cool, a transportable gyro swing, exept the seats face in. I reckon if DWs gyro swing had looked like that, the name that it was given would have actualy made sense, since it kind of looks like the claw in a skill tester.
-
I dont get it, oh wait LOL.

It would be GD and maybe a new ride or two, os it would probably be wothwhile, hey if they could be bothered re theming country fairs rides to ocean parade, i think the could do my idea and bring in a bit of consistency between the rides theme and the area that it is in. It would also help swallow up some crowds into a new area, and it could have good marketablity, a possible TV ad: "Come to DW these school holidays and see the all new scream sector, with the amazing new X:BOT simulator ride, plus, ride the new Model T lane, now at the Australian wildlife experience, its all happening at DW, you've never had so much fun! And anyway, dont you think it would be cool queueing for TOT right next to it?
-
They could have just copied Malestrom from DMP, it would have fitted perfectly, oh well, too late now , the ride is still gonna rock.

A launched freefall wouldn't work due to the dificulty in installing the compressed air launch. The fear builds up the most when you are wating at the top and i dont think that going up the tower say 50% faster would take much off the ride experience. BTW, another question ,is there a delay waiting for the thing that hauls the cars up to come back down again, or has it made its way down and re connected by the time passengers are loaded in? I think ill ditch the TOT launch tunnel idea now, nobody seems to like it and they make good points. Also, I have edited that picture more (very poorly ) to show better waht i meant by that danger themed area for the Model T site, naturally it would look a lot better than in the pic. The purple line represents a new walkway to GD (the rides main sign would be here) The blue line reperesents a new TOT queue line, It would be elevated off the ground at the same level of the LIM section, with glass panels seperating the side of the queue from the track, so you would get a very close look at the pod zooming past beside you, the elevated walkway would continue above the main path that goes into rivertown and the queue would end up starting down in the new area.
-
I think that is the sign about the ride.
-
But the Skyrider hardly captivated anyones imagination, its not like a ride like that would make everyone really want to go to Wonderland.
-
I heard about it on Thrill Ride, It was sparked by that incident where the guy fell out of SM:ROS

All I can say is I dont want a boomerang put in, there are better things to spend money on, Id rather a good flat than a boomerang, I like the multi looper idea, in fact I have designed one in No Limits for DW based on my Volcano coaster Idea. One question for you DW ride ops (Great to have you guys here) is there anything stopping GDs godolas being hauled to the top any faster? that could help boost the capacity a bit. Could the current winch handle higher speeds or would a bigger motor need to be installed?
-
Ok so it wouldnt fix the rain problem, but a tunnel around TOT wouldn't be an eyesore, havent you ever seen the sound tube around the Citylink Expressway in Melbourne? It looks cool and it reduces sound levels for those who live near the Freeway, which is sort of what you would be trying to achive for the ride. The Launch would end up looking like this: http://www.hotkey.net.au/~krool/photos/vic...c/Citylink2.jpg http://www.citylink.vic.gov.au/photo/archive/gw14.jpg Naturaly it would be a bit smaller.
-
Yeah, your right slick, it would be too hard to put in a transfer and buy a second train, it would be cheaper to just have more ops to really get the lines moving. BTW what is with Cyclones queue area, is it like an upward spiral like the ramp in a multi-deck carpark? Also, I thought of a story line for that volcano themed floorless coaster: "Mt Ekenni Goala has erupted and the Tiki Village at the bottom of the volcano is under threat, however, knowing a catastophe like this could happen one day, the Village had built an Elevated Emergency Escape Railway (E.E.E.R) so they could get out in the event of an eruption. But the heat of the lava had melted and warped the tracks of the E.E.E.R making evacuation very dangerous. You have been selected to be part of the first party to evacate the village and its up to you to brave the E.E.E.R and see if it can be used to safley get out." The ride would be called somthing like Fireball Frenzy and the Queue would be a meandering trail through the burning village, past destroyed huts, singed trees and craters caused by rocks the volcano had spat out. The queue would reach the boarding area, a thatched building with TVs telling you the story and computers for controling the E.E.E.R The train would leave the stationg, go up a lift and go into a u turn first drop, then you would go through the core of the volcano before emerging into a vertical loop, zero g roll and a cobra roll, then the MCBR would follow before the track would lead into a twisted finale with helixes and interlocking corkscrews before entering the brakes. As you leave the ride a CB radio would paly a recorded message saying the escape was sucessful but they should be prepared for a wild ride. The first section of the ride is farliy "out and back" and linear so it could run up behind tiger island, but the track would be filled with sand to give silent operation.

You can always just walk across the footway, that was enjoyable and you got a good view anyway.
-
Sorry, I thought you were talking about domestic flights. Bridge clmb still is pretty expensive, and it would be hard for a family to pay it, we couldnt afford to spend $600 for all of us to do it, the least they could do is a family discount. We didnt climb one of the plylons either, that was a rip off too. But Sydney tower was good, great view, but that sky tour thing was very corny, but the simulator was fun.
-
For starters, how long is the flat section of the track, if it isnt as long as the final brakes you can forget it, and from that point would it be able to complete the circut. You dont need an MCBR to run two trains anyway since the ride already has sufficent blocks (lift, station, end brakes) The flat section of track is just soemthing Arrow does, its on a few of their coasters. But the problem is there is no where they can store a second train, waht happens on very quiet days, will they be forced to cycle both trains becuase they cant put the other train away, and what happens if one train has a problem? The whole ride would have to shut. You cant run two trains without appropriate storage areas.
-
One problem with getting a second train for Cyclone is that there is no transfer table so there would be nowhere they could keep the second train.
-
$2000 to fly in? who do you fly with.
-
The Gyro swing is going to be named Claw, calm down.
-
Thats why they should move it to a quieter area of the park. With Thunder Rivers re theme, maybe they could replace the jungle animals (What are they doing in gold rush anyway?) with some water machinery such as water wheels, big tipping buckets, boilers that randomly leak water out, old style water pumps etc so it matches with gold rush and gives riders a thorough soaking. They could also put in coin operated squirt guns. I like the idea with rivertown, just use the other end to do the stuff. Good Ideas, keep em coming.

You probably just unwittingly said a saying of one of the BB inmates.

, not familar with that either. Well, to clear up what i meant, here is a badly edited picture: Red = the Doom themed area. Blue = The TOT Queue. Just because a queue area is 350m doesnt mean the whole thing will fill, it could be a "path of danger" where the rides story is told. Prehaps the Doom area cold be more of a city type thing with lots of steel and contcete, GD would be like one of the industries and the TOT launch would be like some sort of futuristic transit system. ( with the emergence into the rain, would it be a problem because it was painful? the pod has a wind screen doesn't it? There would be cool "futuristic meets industial" buildings housing shops etc and the simulator ride (Which is a good idea because DW can sweeten its new attraction opening for every year by saying they also have an all new simulator film. I like the idea of Cyclones floor light things, i know what you mean, but the could just use a projector instead and have a very detailed pattern. The reason for moving model Ts would be to free up the space, and becuase it would probably be more enjoyable riding in a car through quiet bush, prehaps past animals instead of having a noisy ride. I just thougt TOT would look more in place if it were in a themed area that matched nad as i said above the ride would become a design element in itself. BTW, where did Rich say he was going? I'd be very Interested to see what he would do.

I said in the style of california screamin, and CFs tunnels are transparent so everyone would get to see. Well if the LSMs were covered by the nunnel they wouldnt get wet. By toward, I meant that there could be a path that runs toward GD, not to GD, the start of the Queue would be near the raliway crossing at the main station of the raliway. It would just be the parcel of land that Model T is on. Ill get hold of a map and show what I meant by my ideas.
