  1. I'd be really happy just to get a Disney water park or even a Hollywood Studios clone to give Movie World some competition. If it was something smallish in land size and budget - scaled to local population and our tourist numbers - but still had the brand, that'll make the current players step up. And here, we have a climate which allows for year-round operation like the corporation is used to.
  2. True on an enthusiast level that's more our cup of tea. But at a minimum, Boomerangs could work for the GP.
  3. 1 Jet Rescue - I feel this gives a better ride experience than SE in the sense of being flung around 2 Superman Escape - Theming marginally better. Jet Rescue has great landscaping that'll only improve too 3 Scooby Doo - Aussie coaster that overseas enthusiasts sit up, take notice of and all want to experience 4 Wild West Falls - Haven't done this in awhile but will next park visit. Great immersive flume ride to be proud of 5 Giant Drop - Has the OMG factor every time you ride. Awesome height, speed and fun! 6 The Claw - Good ride sensations...love the hangtime. Never gets boring. 7 Lethal Weapon - It's an SLC I don't find that uncomfortable, pretty good thrills, BONUS HELIX! 8 Corkscrew - Short but still a smooth comfortable ride. Will riding now cause blindness tho? 9 Bermuda Triangle - Great theming, fun, some FXs gone and should be restored tho. 10 Wipeout - Haven't done this in ages and it's fun but Claw more fun. 11 Batwing Spaceshot - Ride experience too short and higher would be better. Still fun. 12 Looney Tunes River Ride - Needs some love/tech upgrades but good immersive atmosphere 13 Batman Adventure The Ride 2 - Needs tech upgrade and updating of ride film/facade improvements 14 Cyclone - It gets you upside-down but flawed layout design
  4. True. Doesn't stop me having strange withdrawals between trips from not being able to ride Boomerangs They're something that would definitely appeal to the general public even these days too. Most wouldn't have done much if any overseas coasters and it's a new experience that could be fit into a small area of land...
  5. Disney does a very good job at hiding this type of thing. I wish the side alleys/shops near Main Street/Gotham City Hall had ambient noises related to the shops there. Do this at Disneyland and you hear singing lessons, dentist drills,etc... I'm sure WVTP could come up with thing. More general ambient noise could work in other areas of the park too and be an easy and cheap way. How often does the spray pump out and how far out do you think people could smell it from? Oh and Ash, talk on MSN hey?
  6. Haven't been out yet, been busy finding new share accomodation and then moving Soo how about some of us go together?
  7. ^ In saying that, I have a reasonably high expectation for when I do see it. I'm sure it's something that will get much better over time. It's unfortunate it hasn't started off with a better response but I'm keeping an open and positive mind. And I haven't seen the Disney show so that hasn't set the bar for me yet Not going to watch the Youtube video either as I want to enjoy it for the first time in-the-flesh in Orlando come August. Anyway, consider that too - most of the GP won't have been to WDW/DLP either - though comparison to PASS is something I'm sure the majority of showgoers will make.
  8. How long till you think they'll open, guys?? Hopefully kinder to the back, they actually look quite fun IMHO.
  9. I would love to travel down this year and experience it for once - never been. Do you all think it'll be worth it this year? Will be in Orlando while the EKKA is on.
  10. ^ Agreed. I love Indiana Beach and visited the park in 2007. Was already planning on heading back as soon as I could anyway but this looks like a great little coaster and something in this vein would work very well at LPS...
  11. You would think they'd purchase these rides to make them a permanent addition. Surely more money in the long run? Sucks you don't get to experience anything decent down there, Pauly mate.
  12. It's total crap, may as well delete it IMHO. I think it's coming off the Facebook push for a new theme park in Sydney. If there was any truth, I'm sure at least one of us would have heard something particularly Richard or whatnot... Slightly off-topic where's Mattcrombie of late? He used to supply us with these types of reveals... EDIT: And LOL at the obvious typo about the park costing $340... wow, that'd be a bargain... but not a very good park
  13. Oh sure. I do agree with you. I wouldn't consider paying more than $5. Like I said, I don't think the additional cost is fair on top of the pretty high price people are paying. Would people here prefer a reburbished compact little water park or to use the space for a ride or two?
  14. Yeah it just doesn't have the space...
  15. -Sesame St Beach: A really solid kid's zone. If I was little or had children, I'd see that place as fantastic -Corkscrew: Short lines, fun if minimal layout, VERY smooth given the ride's ageing. Classic feel. -Jet Rescue Forceful, short queues, two launches, nice ragdoll experience thank to minimal restraint -Vikings Revenge An ok way to cool off if you don't want to do the water park. Does need splashdown improved -Bermuda Triangle Great theming, pretty unique ride, might be missing a few FX now but it's still great -Pirate Ship Universal appeal for whole family, little kids&up can ride without it being too scary or tame -Planet SOS 4d Great way to escape the heat, educational, ties in with values of park, fun, broad appeal -Water Park If you have an annual pass, it's free. But even so, $5 isn't TOO bad. And it cools you off... Pretty decent for a park that's all about conservation. What would you do with the kind of budgets available here and the minimal space?
  16. What do you expect though? They're operating off a smaller budget. And now with Jet Rescue there, the lineup of rides is great anyway - it takes MANY rides on that in a single day to start to get temporarily sick of it. It's forceful and you get tossed around like a rag doll. The short length allows you to hop right back in line and do it over again. Then you can hop between that, the Corkscrew etc if you like. Soon as the Corkscrew reopens I know I'll be putting in another solid full day at Sea World! (and its water park) thanks to having the 3 Park Mega Pass.
  17. But the point of the park isn't to be a ride-fillled coaster-laden one... it does what it sets out to do very well. While some things are dated (that area with the little aquariums for instance) it has a great selection of animals to check out. Should you not be into doing that, then you're likely going to have a SuperPass anyway so you can then go to another park or back into Surfers or Pacific Fair or whatever.
  18. Ultimately I dislike the water park being an additional fee for those paying daily admissions. Ryan Seacrest, is that you?
  19. Was referring to tbone's second sentence - wasn't talking about just the addition of this attraction. I also meant the opportunity to do some stuff with the area the Dream Room was in/where the mini water park used to be. They could have a proper Goldrush Country again or extend Rocky Hollow.
  20. Yeah, this is Dreamworld's chance to recover a lot of ground...
  21. I would have it so all 3 are different. More interesting/varied that way...
  22. ^ Uh, isn't that what the very post above yours said?
  23. Hahaha, that last one is PRICELESS...well done! And I actually find Ronald the scariest clown in that pic too
