  1. so here’s what I’ll assume to be the last update for a while. Theming is going in looks like the curve wall is going in with fountains on the lake side. kinda sad but kinda similar to wipeout and it’s wave.
  2. They are now limiting the number of people allowed to watch a show. No limits on park entry,
  3. why should they close just yet, no cases have been linked to the park, people are canceling flights yet airlines still continue to operate no one is screaming at the airlines/airports to close, public transport still running how do you social distance here, how often will these seats and handrails be cleaned? Local pub probably has the same amount of people there in confined spaces on a Friday night as a daytime show at an Aussie theme park, the government have said its still fine to go the cinema? again maybe smaller numbers but very confined space, lets also not forget so far its only raging waters that has closed and it was due to close for the season in a few weeks anyways, so its not just Goldcoast parks still open, If your worried or don't want to go don't go, no one forces anyone to go if there open, maybe you live 8 hours away and been planning this holiday for years, some are grateful their open just like other tourist attractions on the Goldcoast,
  4. i'd say park attendance has dropped dramatically with everyone freaking out about coronavirus sp they're dropping staff off to reduce running costs.
  5. new Promo txt on the billboard now says coming Easter , Easter 2020 or 2021 we shall wait and see
  6. Sixflags get a season pass they work all parks across the USA saves money plus get a few deals. Cedar point is worth the trip amazing park in an amazing location and there are plenty of other parks with in a few hours drive they make the trip worth it. Disneyland/california I did in 3 days by myself with a hopper ticket and I did everything including the kids rides except character breaky the hopper ticket is worth it, as above some shows are only on some nights so you might find your self changing parks purely for one show at night or extend hours. I went right at the end of November typically quiet time if your going in peak times you may want an extra day. Universal La you could probably miss if your doing universal/islands its a far better park and nearly everything thats in La is in Florida plus mush mush more. Disneyworld took me 5 days and I got to see/do everything just, again in off peak and no kids but I did all the kiddie stuff. If your not staying at a Disney hotel it can be hard as all other hotels are a good 10 - 15 min drive and hotel shuttles suck their unreliable times all over the shop and sometimes their full so you have to wait for the next one. We just hired a car after the first day parking is better then in La so wasn't an issue. Busch Gardens Tampa is also worth the trip from DW, Sea world Orlando is the one you want to see even tho San Diego was the more famous one. Don't forget Cyclone in New York for a trip through history, Nickelodeon universe just opened, Six flags Great Adventure is a 3 hours drive also Dorney Park and Hershey park all of these are worth it. RCDB is great for seeing whats close by some other parks may have something thats of interest too, What ever you end up doing I'm jealous been a couple years since I got out of Aus
  7. fast pass is a must as said before, some rides you only get 1 go, x2, full throttle and twisted I think now, watch times tho as if its busy fast pass times can get long too, I've been in peak and off peak and even on a slow day x2, twisted and full throttle get a 2 hour wait pretty quick Buy online they have limited fast passes in peak season, also getting tickets and fast pass at the park is time consuming, Comfy shoes the place is a workout thats for sure, skip the shows their basic at best, altho they do a big looney tunes park opening, If planning on visiting any other six flags parks get a season pass they get entry to all of them with the one pass way cheaper. hire a car and drive there first time I went I was on a tour bus and it got there late and left early and last time I went there parking was free, go early and your can do national lampoons pic at the gate. Single rider lines can be faster then fast pass but not all coasters have them. Check the weather for what day you want to go, I've been there and had x2, superman, riddlers and twisted all closed just with light rain, they did eventually open when the rain had completely stopped
  8. Hard to see in the pics regarding the fountains/water scenery but there is definitely some sort pool pond fountain setup been installed. I’ll try for some closer pics
  9. That looks amazing compared to the great movie ride
  10. Can’t be to long now till the structure starts going up. Unwrapping more of the ride component today. Also appears someone’s put the boot in as workers now there on Sunday and still there at 5:10 today.
  11. Do I spy some vortex pieces under that tarp 🤷‍♂️ and pic of the hole from today which has scaffold in it now
  12. If I was booking a flight from the other side of the country I’d be waiting for the coaster to open too.
  13. Depends on height to. My 2yo measured in at 92cm so ment SeaWorld had a couple better kiddie rides which he loved plus add in the dolphin show, stunt show and there’s a kiddie water park area no slides but climbing stuff, fountains and small wadding pools he loves SeaWorld, dreamworld definitely has more for kiddies but nothing to exciting for them to ride. I found www used to be better for kids but with wnw kids slides now to me this is far better but sometimes they alternate between kid slides but mine doesn’t seem to be bothered, mw if their under 90cm then there is stuff all to do and hsd is noisy and he got scared last time we went in. paradise country is nice but small and really not much to offer on its own. Dreamworld has all their animals plus more
  14. We went to carnival tonight and the family and I loved the park experience performers everywhere food stalls were great too. We looked around and enjoyed ourselves before heading over to watch the main show. That’s sadly where our enjoyment of the night ended. We were bored the kids were bored the “story” terrible, lots of water with basically flashing lights on it very basic timing with music and a big setup for dancers to walk into hide for 10min and come dancing out. the fly boarders weren’t in sync with each other or the show. We loved the night but the show left us disappointed, I knew it wouldn’t be world of color but I had high hopes.
  15. A pic from today’s visit. big hole in the centre and some block work now up
  16. Would be great to add some aircon as it is a nice scenic ride and with little kids it is a fair walk from end to end but its like a sauna most days, maybe a new station in Atlantis wouldn't go astray either but I think thats probably pushing it
  17. Delayed About 8 weeks and as themagician said had to find a new contractor as there was a problem with the original contactor who started but then pulled out
  18. Hopefully they might add some aircon to the monorail while it’s down, Apparently construction is 8 weeks behind so that would mean end of January early February for Vortex opening? lots of ground movement now Also, so I guess you can say leviathan construction has officially started
  19. I’ve heard after the Dw accident it was thought to be in bad taste to fix and reopen it. Not sure how exactly other then being water it’s at all like a rapids ride tho 🤷‍♂️ it is a pretty bad eye sore now
  20. Few pics from today. no signage at all now nothing to say opening December or summer. Only sandy shores is closed while we are building the vortex attraction
  21. cyborg cyber spin is really one of those you just have to try it cause of the look of it, shame it sounds like its not that exciting. on another note I'd count el toro on my top 5 list, awesome pics
