  1. BORING, yeah whateva......................idiot
  2. OMG FLEA, freefall, bad choice for a first model, I have built a few models, and im getting better with each model, but FREEFALL is a shocker, from what I have read, from people, its a major pain in the butt, and its definetly not reccomended for amatures, not even I want it yet, cos of how hard it is, here is a picture of ALL the pieces that it includes
  3. also the reason the Huss rides were there was all because of wittingslow, if they hadnt invested in the park, none of them would have gone in, and most of them would still be travelling, even though wittingslows choice to invest in the park was a bad decision, look where they are now, hardly operating, but still trying to get back on their feet, also MAD MOUSE, that crashed at the Melb Show, will be operating at our Rye Beach carnival, no word on what other rides yet, but ill be taking video and pictures of what is there.............. but in a way its good that these huss rides are still here in oz, where they belong, we are very lucky to have this amount of huss rides operating, in this day and age, places like in germany, have 1 rainbow, most people are upset cos there arent as many as there used to be, but we are very lucky to still have it, and now with o'neills owning it, they aren't gonna let it go, to china or sum other place
  4. Im soo glad Luna Park didn't get Rainbow, it is good to see that it is still travelling, the royal shows arent complete without it, thats why 2003 was soo crap, except for the easter show, where o'neills ran it, and its still a great ride, I know that some people don't like it, cos they are more into the upside down etc etc......... but rainbow is great fun, still proves that it's popular after 14 years being in Australia! we love it!!! and also 'GoBoi' how did you find out that they designed a facade for the rainbow, are there pics?? also, one thinG THANK GOD LUNA PARK DIDNT GET IT
  5. There is a great hobby shop in sydney that has rides, here is the website, JUST DONT BUY TOPSPIN, IM BUYING THAT! WWW.HOBBYCO.COM.AU and here is the FALLER page http://www.hobbyco.com.au/product_groups/s...hp?grp=332&sid= just a reminder the rides AREN'T CHEAP, my wellenflug was $300
  6. it would be great if the dreamworld owners bought lp, cos this could meen new thrill rides!!!, also the expression of interest to buy the park has now been extended to december 30
  7. I just hope NONE of wittingslows rides go there, it would be a shame to see them just put in the park, IN ANOTHER STATE, since wittingslow were melbourne based, and we got to see them here alot! also, them huss rides arent from the 95' era, try 88 when they featured at EXPO88' in queensland, wittingslow picked up RANGER, RAINBOW, BREAKDANCE and UFO very cheap, which was great, b4 then wittingslow had already purchased 2 enterprises, and a pirate, the enterprise that operates here at our luna park, operated for some time in sydneys lp, and then came here, and the other enterprise remained travelling, and is currently in hong kong doing the worlds carnival, with Pirate, which is sad, in this pic you can see the chinese have put a DAMN aweful new sign on the ride, now the question is, will it return home.............
  8. i think luna park, needs to sell all their HUSS rides, back to wittingslow, well O'NEILLS cos they own rainbow, ranger......... 2 of wittingslows ex-rides, !!! haha did anyone else know that the rainbow was spose to go to lp sydney, but instead ranger went! THANKGOD!
  9. it's FALLER.DE but! it has no info on the rides, if you search on google for FALLER FAIRGROUND places in germany etc, stock rides, but if you havent built any of their rides, dont start off with a ride like the TOSPIN, its a hard one, same with the rainbow, its best beginners start off with the BREAKDANCE
  10. well they aren't a pain in the butt if you take it slow, and really read through the instructions, but they are soo much fun putting em together, cos there are soo many pieces, its actually like your setting up the ride for a carnival, its wicked, the Wave swinger looks awesome, Im getting it for my b'day on the 28th, but I got to check the box for missing parts etc, but everything is wicked! , the only hard thing about this model will be the gearing, it also contains string, very complicated, but taking it slow will get the job done perfect, heres a picture I found of the gear system, to make the turret, rise, spin, the centre panels spin in the opposite direction, and to make the turret tilt only 15 days to go
  11. Just wanting to know if anyone here owns ride models, by the company FALLER of germany or someone else, I have 5 rides: HUSS RAINBOW HUSS BREAKDANCE MACK TOP IN DODGEMS FERRIS WHEEL and today I just recieved from germany the newest FALLER ride: ZIERER WAVE SWINGER, themed as CIRCUS WELT, the best travelling wave swinger in Germany today! all rides are fully motorised, and feature lights for illuminating, but not on the rides, its impossible, on light posts etc..... here is an old picture of my WITTINGSLOW THEMED RAINBOW, now has their official backdrop etc and the cloud and rays have been done exactly like wittingslows, now O'NEILLS ............ new pix soon!
  12. I wish we could all share out photos of shows around aus, not just theme park pix
  13. like the off ride vid of my avatar, so much better than on ride!
  14. im guessing dreamworld, they just seem the type of place to get a new thrill ride, hopefully a flat ride! since they are bootin thunderbolt! maybe they should get one of these:
  15. does anyone have pictures of expo 88, cos rainbow was there!!! then soon after wittingslow bought it, along with the other huss rides, and now O'NEILL SHOWS own it, woohoo, loks like Australia will have the Rainbow for many years to come
  16. the ranger type ride is a MEISHO pharos curse, dunno the original name
  17. I think rides like - rainbow zipper breakdance, would all be perfect additions to the park, the enterprise is great, and that should stay, but other than that, the pharos curse is the only other upside down ride, a zipper would be fantastic there, also the rainbow would do well, if it faced the beach, it would provide spectacular views of the beach!!!
  18. Luna Park Syd is good, because they got most of Wittingslow's rides, Rainbow was supposed to go there instead of the Ranger but somthing happened (thnk god), i wish melb would get rid of g-force and buy a breakdance!!, or buy the rainbow, id be in heaven!
  19. LOLLL, they need the break guys! otherwise the train will fly off the track, they are doing it for safety, not to wreck your ride, i thought it was fun when we got stuck on the hill down the back of the park ,that was cool
  20. yeah, both of my folks do, my dads been on the rainbow with me, lol, mums been on alot, she told me once when she was younger, she had gone with friends to Moomba, and they all went on the Wave Swinger, and down the street there was a carcrash, and cos most of the rides werent connected up to generators, everything shut off, and the chairs on the swings, just hit the middle!! freaky LOL
  21. i hope the new owners bring some better rides, hopefully some of wittingslows!
  22. yeah luna park melb is pretty pov, but when i go i still manage to have fun, personally i think the best ride there is the enterprise, i cant belive they got a stupid meisho "pharos curse" and not the better looking "kamikaze" or better known as Ranger!, i hope that if o'neills dont want to keep the rainbow, it should go there!
  23. it's looks good, pretty impressive, but it aint a classic, like people don't just come to the show for that ride, and it aint that safe eitha, but Durkin are keeping theirs well maintained so ours is fine
  24. about the Zipper, it is that model, owned by Short's, a bolt sheered off it, I dont know exactly what happened, but its fine now, and is operating, im glad the rainbow wasnt there to get into any trouble, even though its maintained perfectly
