The decision to close the park completely would not have been made overnight. But typical wonderland management had to keep everyone hanging on by the thread. It was wrong for management not to say what the meeting was about and it was wrong about hiring people. I made some many good mates at wonderland, and for those some mates I wish them all the best. For those others and management Ive got no respect. If you are reading this , you will know who you are? Maybe Richard did tell us so, so what? but he does have a freedom of speech like everyone else.

No one will take over and buy it! Knowing that the park is closing would you hang around till April? For Sure I wouldnt! I'd be out there looking for another job right this instance, with an employer who treats their workers with RESPECT! And yes, by reading my posts, of coursed Im PEEVED OFF! In how they handled it!.

So April 26th is D Day! If they knew how to run the park properly it would still be standing and operating! And yes, to the 800 plus workers good luck in finding new employment and wish you all the best. To the most enthusiastic and dedicated guest? FLEA! Although i didnt get to meet you, I must admit you will be sorely missed. Your one cool dude! Oh my god! Reality has hit! What will Kevin do now?

It has got nothing to do with Taronga Zoo or with there Lion Cubs or using the similar advertisement. Dearest Flea, I'd thought you would of known the real reason why the cubs arent there anymore? roll Please Please Please and Please! Richard! How do you know if Im not a current or ex employee of wonderland? For someone to say on this forum that " if current employees were to post some of the things suggested they shouldnt be employed by Wonderland". How wrong is that statement! How can you justify yourself with that remark! I have gathered you havent worked there before or havent been to the park in quite some time. All I can say is you shouldnt post some of the remarks you have posted then! "So wonderland are bending the truth to IAAPA here, not a few ex employees" The above statement is so sarcastic I would of thought that a 3 year old would of thought something up like that. Mate, its true I wouldnt be surprised if wonderland are saying those figures because they seem to lie about things all the time take my word for it. Maybe you forgot to put a minus in front of those figures. I am not bad mouthing the place and Ive got no reason to, but people who posts things like that really cheez me off! Most of the people there are genuine and really pride themselves in there work. So sorry to dissapoint you yes there are more current employees that post on this website than ex employees! cry Yes the park attendances were really bad on the 22/11/03. You would of been lucky if there were 100 people. But that is the reason why the park closed early because of the crap weather and park attendance being so low, not because of the RWC. So much of the high attendance rate isnt it! D Crappy weather or not!

roll Wonderland Sydney is definately not getting 1 million - 1.5 million people per year! It would be a great place to go, if they just add to it instead of wanting to go broke. Why do you think Dreamworld bought Luna Parks BIG DIPPER. Cause they were going down a slider. Look at it now, a new rollercoaster and a new kids themed area. What a Great Idea! Wonderland should take a note out of the Gold Coast Theme Parks! The shows they have at Wonderland are crap! The only decent show they have there at the moment is Spellbinding Sorcery. There was supposed to be a Spiderman Show (God knows how that would have turned out, if you have Action Man to go by), and the Woolshed Show is not as informative as it used to be. The Blinky Bill Show well thats just pathetic!!!!! On a ex employees point of view, it would be a great place to work if they didnt treat their workers like 2 year olds and sacking people over the most stupid reasons. They should look after their workers and treat them with respect as what they would want to be treated. Thats all Im going to say about this subject! Put it this way, If I won lotto 8) I'd buy the park and demote or sack every single person that works in admin from marketing right through to the CEO except for a select few, and make wonderland a place that it should! Cause it does have so much POTENTIAL! But thats not going to happen (me winning lotto), as I said before there are alot of people with brown marks around their mouths lol . You could compare the place to ROMPER ROOM at the moment! D

roll Please, Please, Please Let me just clear a few things! Nightshifter is talking about attendances! What attendances? Xmas wont be that busy this year and never has been. Yes saturday night trade was succesfull last year when they bought it back, probaly the best thing they ever done! But u must feel for the poor operators who get constantly abused by rude and arrogant members of the public who think they own the joint. Which brings me to my next point! Management dont give a hoot about their workers! All they think about is flashy cars and treating the workers like s**t. Park competitions? What u call picking 30 people who come into the park to try and win 1 million $ from thousands and thousands of coke bottles a competition? Oh please! Wonderpasses! The only reason why people go back to buy wonderpasses is because they are half price! Wouldnt u? Most of the holiday attendance is from these wonderpass holders who have bought them half price anyway. Where are the new guests? hey Tazzie Devil! Have u guys noticed that it is passed the 14th november? Has there been any improvement on taz? well the answer is NO! Will it be coming back? The answer is NO! Wonderland will not be closing. If it does close it wont be for another 5 years or so. Tony Laffan will not be leaving Wonderland. Why would he? He has it secured there. They wouldnt have spent so much money bringing the tigers in. If they kept Hanna Barbera Land opened and kept the old characters, yeah they would have a chance of keeping the attendances up. They should have kept Beastie open and kept Skyrider operating! roll OK bush beast is not a rumour its a fact that it will be knocked down very soon and replaced with a brand new spanking STEEL ROLLERCOASTER. roll ? If WS does close down it probaly wont for another 5 years or so! 8) LWL wont be re-opening, it is gone forever. roll As I said before Bush Beast is long overdue for retirement and it will probaly fall down before being pulled down. When I said they are replacing it with a new ride, I mean a BRAND NEW ride, not a second hand one like most of the rides at wonderland. So they are replacing an old rough ride which costs too much to maintain and fix all the time with a brand new ride which runs alot smoother! Smoother than a babys bottom! P

roll Bush Beast is long overdue for retirement! Yes Im only new to this website and must say it is true that bush beast is closing. They are replacing it with a new steel coaster and Ive been told it will be similiar to Lethal Weapon. Why are they pulling down a old ride and replacing it with a new one? Because bush beast is too old and too costly to repair, and they want (owners) to bring the people back to wonderland as guests numbers are down. How do I know this info? Because its people called upper management?
