  1. It probably means "Funny that." Scott, you have posted enough (over 180 posts) to know that Hussy is a carnie freak and loves anything that spins and moves on the back of a truck. No offence Huss but it's the truth. Scott go have some ritalin and have a lie down. "The Bus is now leaving for Carrolly Trucking Yard, Western Australia"
  2. Are you mentally inept? Have a look at the link in my previous post and then look at the second last post made in that thread. Unless I'm very much mistaken there is a post with your name on it. The exact link is here. Thanks for clarifying the codes for us Mal. "The Bus is now leaving for Northfield Mental Hospital, South Australia"
  3. Scott, do you suffer from short term memory loss? You know perfectly well that the name for the new ride at Dreamworld is The Claw, you posted in the thread on that subject here. For those of us who don't work at Dreamworld do you mind explaining those codes? It's like me saying 61 Bravo position 14, which was Wonderland code for 'Someone spewed at Bounty's Revenge'. It's all good to have codes, and they are necessary but if you are going to state them here decode them for us please. Scott, do you suffer from short term memory loss? "The Bus is now leaving for Codenwarra, Queensland"
  4. Scott Bridge Climb is just one of those things that people who come halfway around the world would pay that much to do, hell I live an hour from there and would be more than willing to pay that to experience it. As for it not being the highest point in Sydney, who cares, the views you get from there are so much better then from Sydney Tower. Look at the price and then think about all the costs they have, public liability insurance which would be well over $1 million a year, staff pay they run a tour every 10 minutes for about 10 hours a day, that’s a lot of staff considering every tour takes 3 hours. There are plenty of other costs but I would go on for pages listing them. Scott there is no point in setting up a poll because the majority of people here, like you, are under 18 and probably don't work so $170 would seem to be a large amount of money, when in the grand scheme of things, it's not. "The Bus is now leaving for Highest Point, NSW"
  5. All the left over merchandise from Wonderland was shipped over to Malaysia. I'm not sure about the costumes and stuff but they would probably have to be altered to fit the Asia people playing the characters (Yes Shifty they are actors not the real thing). "The Bus is now leaving for Hero Passage, Western Australia"
  6. Yes you can guess, would you like to lock that in? Want to use a lifeline? Because that guess is wrong. Paul, they did try it as I said in my post and it didn't work out for several reasons. Skyrider was a good addition to the park but it was very unreliable from the start. I guess that’s what happens when you buy a second hand carnie ride. "The Bus is now leaving for Fear Not Creek, Victoria"
  7. Actually in the early days of the 'Express' it did the following circuit: Botany Bay, Transylvania, HB, Wildlife Park, Botany Bay, Gold Rush and then back. This was before the Wildlife Park had a separate entrance. The problem with going up to Zodiac and then turning around is this, where do you turn the thing around? The 'Express' had a turning circle of a real train, about 1Km. I drove that piece of crap, and I'm sure Daniel will agree with me that it was an absolute nightmare to get strollers and prams on and off it, particularly the three wheelers that were just a bit to big to fit in the carriage, I coped a lot of abuse because of that. I have only been to one park in the States and that was easily 5 times the size of Wonderland but they didn't have any transportation system of any description, no train, no cable car, nothing. Yes the park was open or 12 hours a day but they also had 1-3 hour waits for most rides. "The Bus is now leaving for Moven, NSW"
  8. You’re JEOKING! How can you complain about $150 to climb one of Australia's most iconic landmarks? I haven't done it myself but know several people who have and they say it is amazing. Have a look at this, the person who is setting this up, SkyTours Operations Manager, is ex-Wonderland. "The Bus is now leaving for Jokers Yard, South Australia"
  9. Seeing as Shifty doesn't seem willing to change to format of his photos I thought I would. I have to say that 'Wodnerland' is my favourite park, I just wish that I could remember where it was, Shifty is it in Germany? Or is it in Belgium? What kind of transport system should they have had? Would you like travelators all over the place? As far as I'm concerned people were just lazy when it came to HB and there are to many people, particularly in Sydney's west who are WAY to fat, go to Westfields at Mt. Druitt any day of the week and you will see exactly what I mean. "The Bus is now leaving for Zero Mile Peg, Western Australia"
  10. Your kidding aren't you Rappster? Did you ever go on the Train at Wonderland? People jumped on and off that thing like it was a trampoline. The only way to stop people from doing this is to have locked doors or make it a bus with only one door. People are stupid they would put their personal safety at risk just to see, or possibly see a famous person. "The Bus is now leaving for Stumpys Jumpup, Western Australia"
  11. The light that was shining on to the top of Space Probe is no longer on. There isn't even a red aircraft navigational beacon on the top of it. The probable reason for the light still being on Bush Beat is that they don't know where the light switch is, either that or they have a permanent camera on the structure in the hope they will capture the moment that it collapses. "The Bus is now leaving for First Light, South Australia"
  12. Well which is it Shifty a rumour or a fact? Did you get the information from here? "The Bus is now leaving for No Good Bay, Tasmania"
  13. As an ex-Wonderland ride op I find it very strange that the Entertainment department has anything to do with the running of the rides at Dreamworld. At Wonderland the Entertainment department consisted of the performers for the shows and that’s all they did. I think you have misunderstood. No one has suggested that people get a return pass because they have been turned away from a ride for being under or over the height restriction. Those people have no one else to blame for lining up but themselves, if they had read the signs they wouldn't be there. What was the reason for you being turned away? It was probably a mechanical fault and in that case I think the Australian parks should utilise the 'Fast Pass' system used at many North American parks. Basically you get a piece of paper that allows you return to the ride and go on without lining up. This should only be used during peak periods in Australia. Yes free passes should not be handed out 'willsy nilly' but in this case they should have been. There was no valid reason for what Dreamworld did on this occasion, they should have got everyone who had been in the queue lines that were cut and given them some sort of compensation, in my view in the form of a return pass. "The Bus is now leaving for Return Point, Tasmania"
  14. Willsy the reason I'm not going to share the details at this point is because there are only a few people working at Wonderland and I don't want to get anyone in trouble. That may have been the case Willsy but seeing as the park has been closed to the public for nearly 2 months now it seems a bit strange that they would start fixing it now. "The Bus is now leaving for McCall Say Reservoir, Victoria"
  15. I drove past Wonderland today and to my surprise saw the yellow train sitting at the top of the lift. I have heard some rumours from people still at the park that there is something going on but I can't say anymore at this time but all I will say is that Zordy may still have his fantasy come true. "The Bus is now leaving for High Lift Branch, Victoria"
  16. Probably a good place to start is to ask Flea, I'm sure he won't bite. "The Bus is now leaving for Fleabite Creek, Tasmania"
  17. Calm down Scotty if you look up the top of the screen there is a search function this is very helpful if you are looking for something. I used it and found this, this, this, this, this, this, this, and this. It's amazing what technology can do isn't it? "The Bus is now leaving for Calm Downs, Queensland"
  18. It happened just before Alex woke up in a cold sweat. It's amazing what people dream about isn't it? "The Bus is now leaving for Cold And Wet, South Australia"
  19. The reason it didn't stay in the same position was because the operators had a button to make the harnesses lock down a bit more during the cycle. "I can't breathe, I can't breathe!" "If you can't breathe how can you talk?" Silence.... "The Bus is now leaving for Hurts, NSW"
  20. Well that just about makes it possible to be anywhere in Sydney. Oran Park being in the south and the northern beaches being, well on the northside. "The Bus is now leaving for Covering Beach, Queensland"
  21. Never mind the 17 food outlets what about the 47 rides, now that’s overkill. Gazza put in about a 3rd of the rides and then it might be a bit more realistic. Better yet forget the whole idea of putting a park on the site, find a new site and then your design can be as big as it likes. "The Bus is now leaving for Bulloo River Overflow, NSW"
  22. There was about 100 litres of saliva dried onto the backs of seats, 58 kilograms of chewing gum on the platform, 72.5 litres of vomit caked into the seatbelts. "The Bus is now leaving for Chewings Nob, South Australia"
  23. Don't you think that 17 food outlets is a bit over the top for a park 200m X 300m in size? It's a very small park and the numbers coming through the gates would not make it feasible to have that many outlets. Maybe half that number and have one of them a descent restaurant. "The Bus is now leaving for Over Ridge, Western Australia"
  24. Well that narrows it down doesn't it? Which direction were you travelling? Where did you live so we have so idea what area it might be. "The Bus is now leaving for Where Is It Bore, South Australia"
  25. It was simple Rich all she did was say Go-Go-Gadget Arm, and bingo she reached the pedal and pushed it down. Is that too technical for you? There were a couple of male operations supervisors who may of had long enough arms but Alex it is physically impossible to do and like Daniel I have tried. If you remember there was a bar on top of the side of the carriage and that was in the way, but also you would just about have to dislocate your shoulder and stretch it about 6 inches. Alex you also told me that you worked in the Retail department and as an ex-ride operator I think that I would have a bit more knowledge about the subject than you would. I have seen Demon stuck in the Boomerang once but know of another time it happened, BOTH without guests aboard. The time I witnessed it, the train was stuck there for a day and a half before they got it back into the station. I think that you have got the guest who was injured on Probe when the cable snapped confused with the operator of Demon. That’s my 22c plus GST. "The Bus is now leaving for Broken Head, NSW"
