  1. Sea World - work continues on Wild. Opening date pushed back to 2037. Wet n Wild - Park begins 'attraction swapping' like Six Flags. The GC gets a second constrictor from Sydney to handle demand, Sydney gets more polite locals from the GC to ease pressure on Gate Staff when the park hits capacity. Movie World - Work at last begins to install a coaster into the Western Show Stage. Dreamworld - Introduces a new paint colour called "cover up the dilapidated wood rot on all our 30 year old buildings that are lacking in good maintenance except for Dreamworks or we'll lose the licensing agreement purple" Aussie World will introduce another small, low budget, but still solid attraction that will see a continued increase in guest numbers, satisfaction, and interest from the enthusiast community. Clive palmer will try to buy it, and the entire upper balcony of the Ettamogah Pub will give him the finger. Adventure World will ride the wave of their massive 2013 installation, but may announce something a little smaller to fit with the currently empty wallet once their massive attendance increase has been accounted for in the till. Jamberoo will continue to plod along with their master plan, installing slides as planned for the past 7 years, completely oblivious to the 'at capacity' waterpark over an hour away. Scenic World will continue to talk about re-engineering the Orphan Rocker 'someday'. Will instead come up with a fourth transport ride to take you into over the same valley you've already seen from 3 different angles. Pinksmile will find a way to gain access to the counterweight, and will chain himself to it in protest. Luna Park Sydney will consider building a permanent attraction behind coney island - will instead introduce 8 different flats for the year - only during school holidays. Luna Park Melbourne will introduce 2 new flats, and will announce the refurbishment of the entire Melbourne metropolitan area by Mack Rides. In broader waterpark news - VRTP will announce a Wet N Wild for every state and territory in Australia - including the Australian Antarctic Territory. All parks hit capacity in their first three months despite being labelled 'ripoffs' by locals. Ardent reduces WWW park capacity to 500 people. Hits capacity 4 times in January. As for the big 'two' corporations - VRTP continue to produce outstanding attractions and extremely good value for money with even more christmas and hallowe'en events, and a new 'christmas in july event'. Ardent announces passholders will now get free entry to SkyDeck all year round - attendance remains unchanged. In other news, Sea World applies to the Gold Coast City Council for a relaxation of height restrictions, so that they can make the 'no entry' gate next to the retail plaza even higher, WetnWild announces that fat people do in fact ride waterslides, releasing a fact sheet so that people know that other large guests have already been on it without embarassment, Movie World reduces it's height restrictions to the same limits placed by the manufacturers, in line with worldwide standards - and also removes unnecessary restraint redundancies and time consuming loading procedures. They also buy a second train for Arkham Asylum. Dreamworld hires scuba divers to repaint the captain sturt - which will be by then resting gently on the bottom of the murrisippi.

  2. Yes, let's tell them to extend a ride they've just finished spending big bucks on to make shorter, in order to fit in a multimillion dollar new attraction? I doubt they'd take you seriously on anything. As for telling them it's worse - how? We all pointed out the safety issue that someone could hurt themselves... since they've been made aware of the hazard - they do ahead and rectify the hazard by increasing the height of the barriers so that nobody jumps the fence anymore... How can we possibly tell them that it's worse? Are taller people injuring themselves now? Are birds being decapitated by the wires?

  3. As much as it sucks, this is pretty much Clive's reaction to cost complaints. When you're that rich, you hardly care what the little people think of your big projects. (I must admit I was itching to post a Clive Palmer reaction image somewhere on this board.)

  4. You'll probably expecting queues for all rides at all the parks. Obviously the major rides at the parks will have the longest queues. I would recommend that you try to get on all the major attractions first. Here are my recommendations Movie World: When you arrive at the park go line up at Arkham Asylum (When I last went when the ride queue is full it was a 2hr wait). Then go to Superman Escape, this line shouldn't be to long, maybe about 15 - 25 minutes depending on how busy the park is. Then Green Lantern, batwing and justice league. Depending on queue lines you may want to see one of the shows. After lunch do Scooby Doo and Wild West Falls. Then if you want another show and the kids rides. Dreamworld: If you have a pass then I would recommend going on a weekend as the park opens an hour earlier for pass holders only. Usually Buzz Saw, TOT2, Claw and Shockwave are the rides that will be open. Try and do all of the rides that are open early. Then do the river rapids and/or log ride. Then other thrill rides. I may be time for lunch, but if not go to the animals. And then do the other rides. Sea World: I would recommend going on the rides (Storm, Vikings, Jet Rescue and Sea Viper) first. Then do all of the shows and animal attractions. You could then either go on rides you haven't been on yet or go on some again. Wet n Wild: Go to AquaLoop and Constrictor first as these are popular and can have quite long queues as the day continues. Then the Surfrider. Then H2O Zone. It doesn't matter what order you do these as they are all popular and can get real busy. Mammoth Falls usually has a long wait, especially in peak season, sometimes it goes all the way down the stairs. White Water World: I would recommend Hydro Coaster first as that is always the busiest and longest queue ride. Do the rest of the rides on that tower and then go to the RIP and BRO tower. Followed by the final tower. All the parks will be busy, so I would recommend doing the rides in the order I have recommend. That is just my opinion though, other people may recommend other orders. I would seriously recommend that if you have a Dreamworld pass try to go on a weekend and get there by 9am, so you get to go on half a dozen rides before the gates open. You will have to expect queues for all rides so try and be smart about when you go on certain rides. Maybe try and have lunch a little earlier so that you beat those queues and so while everyone else is having lunch the queues should be a little shorter. Really it is up to you. All parks will be busy and major rides at the parks will have queues at least an hour long. I would expect that the longest you could wait would be 2 hours, but that could change. Have a great time at the parks.
