  3. ^its a easy answer in the normal season eg, non hoilday time MW have more ops on there coasters then DW do.
  4. Well the news Ive known but couldnt say was just annouced on Gold Coast radio (sea FM) at 5pm. Wet N Wild will be spending $20 million on 2005 additions which will include a new Childrens area and a new Super Mammoth Falls, as part of the old one is heading to Seaworld in 2005. So Santa is really letting Warner Village Theme Parks have some great money with this as well as Movieworlds next ride and the outback show.
  5. Well as a local I can tell you the hotel thing is about to change over the next decade with a lot of hotels planned for Coomera. by not just dreamworld but a texan and his land and a japanese owned land as well. I think you are wrong. (1) it only takes 20 mins from surfers. (2) Dinner Show are popular overseas. (3) alot of people are not roller coaster geeks like you guys.

  7. But you need to remember Cedar Point is in Ohio which is a good gate way to alot of surrounding States and Canada, where its a bit different down here. Cedar Point had 3.1 million people visit this year and the park only opens from May to October unlike Dreamworld thats open all year and gets around 1.3 million. But over the next 5 years I can see Dreamworlds attendance slowly rising with all the new hotels and housing combined with cheap domestic airfares. to reach the 2 to 3 million mark.
  8. I read this in the bulletin a couple weeks back but wasnt that impressed I mean I could be wrong but it sounds like there expanding for a local commuinty rather then making it a international destination, and they dont really talk about adding rides. Its still a good move as I can see Dreamworld becoming more of a family parks and Movieworld becoming more of the Knotts Berry Farm type park from rumors I have heard. anyway lets wait and watch before making any final judgement.
  9. Actually you will find from people who have ridden rockets, that TTD has a great rush to it but after a week you are bored of just going up and over with no elements. Where there are more fans of Storm Runner at Hersey even though it doesnt have the height TTD has its got crazy elements after so its like if Intaimin Rocket had a baby with B&M layouts.
  10. just wanted to clear some thing up Quoted by Obstructure Can I just clear something up the studio tour never burnt down The fire was down the road at the Warner Village Studios and the Sound Stage was owned by a private American Company so it didnt cost the theme park a thing. Also everybody knows where I work yet I still visit DW because I like parks you guys need to remember a high percentage of the public like to go to theme parks to have fun so thats why we are lucky all 4 of our parks are different. So stop whining like little Bit**es and do what Richard said and write to the park if you dont like queues ect.
  11. We just to show cartoon network Joz but they got rid of the pay tv in the shops at seaworld now they play DVD of cartoon network.
  12. How about NO Japan is one of the wettest places in the world in rains over 300 days a year there and there earthquakes and typhoons yearly. Las Vegas is just like Queensland Hot.
  13. ^no I didnt pay I work for seaworld as a photographer those photos were taken while helicopter was moving.
  14. 2004 has been a big year for this kiwi. A couple of weeks ago at work (Seaworld) I was able to go up in a helicopter and get some photos of the Park and Surfers. I also got some photos of Palazzo Versace. And finally while at work I got to hang out with Robert Patrick who is down here on the Gold Coast filming THE MARINE. and took his photos while he was swiming with the dolphins. so its been a amazing week and my photo portfolio is getting better and better. http://ozcoaster.net/ozupdates/heli%20sw/page1.php
  15. here they are so happy to have finished all 4 parts as now I can concertate on 2005 and the big attraction to come. http://ozcoaster.net/ozupdates/brents%20us...part4/page1.php http://ozcoaster.net/ozupdates/brents%20us...part4/page1.php
  16. Ive done sfmm and sfmw lots. There are pros and cons for both the 2 above and DW. The ones above are have better coasters and rides then DW but DW has a better atmosphere then SFMM but I did enjoy SFMW atmosphere as it was like half seaworld with animals and half coasters and MEDUSA a B&M floorless was kick ass. What is funny is the following: In San Francisco I found Paramount to be the better park the Six Flags Marine World even though six flags had Medusa, Roar and V2. In Southern California I find Knotts kicks Six Flag Magic Mountain ass in a park that I would rather hang out at. even though SFMM had more rides. In Gold Coast I find MW more of a fun place to hang then DW So in summing up the theard Six Flags and DW are alot alike but the competion over the past few years and beyond is starting to kick there ass.
  17. quote by GoBoi Its the best Coaster Ive been on.
  18. No not by a long shot of lot of overseas parks have new slides now a days and these rider slides need a bigger flatter space.
  19. 2 points I would like to add. (1) from friends I known in America I can tell you they loved Boomerang Bay when it opened this year, also it was such a sucess that Paramount Great America are increasing its size 2 times bigger the the space that open this year. (2) Like: Rabid's hole of doom Rich's twists of Fury Slick's slippery when wet Joz's this slide isnt as good as Seaworld And Not forgetting Rabids Summer of Love Pool Side Bar.
  20. Yep Tip 1: you can get there by bus. Tip 2: you will need a towel and swim suit Tip 3: Did you really think I was going to give you a tip on the parks future.
  21. wnw will being doing something on the slide side of things in 2005 But you will all have to wait.
  22. Hi guys we are up to part 3 of 4 of these updates have fun checking out orlando with captions from a downunder point of view. http://ozcoaster.net/ozupdates/brents%20us...part3/page1.php
  23. ^so im guessing you know Flea please keep it on the downlow as its more fun watching people who dont know. P.S PM so I can see how close you are
  24. ^Ive got his Florida Parks almost ready to go online just been so busy at seaworld working, but will be up tonight Then there will be one more next week which will be Knotts, SFMM, and San Deigo Zoo
  25. ^No Because if the Parks see news has been leaked even if its from a unknown person, It recks it for future rides as parks may stop supporting websites then there will be no photos. All im saying is if you love America because of its parks you will love Australia by the end of 2005, As all 4 parks will be doing big things. And trust me it will give you guys time to get ready for the announcements as they will blow you away. And personally I run my Website ozcoaster as a place to promote our great part of the world to the rest of the world and have fun, Im not really into the rumor stuff.
