  1. @Gazzayou're an intelligent man so I'm sure you have taken into account the unpresented growth the GC and in particular the northern GC impact on public transport growth, which all feeds into the Helensvale station. I’m sure you agree the M1 has turned into a car park, yet people still prefer to sit in the traffic than catch a train. GC 3.3% use of public transport per household in 2021 was exceptionally low compared to other major cities, I believe you would agree with me on that. If I am a tourist in another city, I tend to take the public transport type, I haven’t been on before, just to experience it. More people might be catching light rail, but it's not due to the light rail providing a better service.
  2. The light rail on the GC doesn't work well for events compared to buses because they don't have extra trains to add to the line. If you have ever been to the GC500 by light rail, you will know what I'm talking about. You have no problems getting there because people arrive at different times but when the event finishes, you will wait hours to get home. This didn’t happen before light rail, with buses because Translink would put extra buses on. One would think, Translink would add buses to support the light rail during events, but I have never seen this happen. If the light rail ever ends up at any theme parks, one thing you can be sure of, Translink will cut most bus services to the parks. The service will even get worse. Before light rail came to Helensvale there was a direct bus from Helensvale train station to SW. Now you have two choices and both choices take longer than before. Light rail and bus transfer or catch the bus that tours the backstreets of the GC.
  3. I would like to know the proposed route, this theme park boss proposes. My guess is the mouth started moving before the brain kicked in.
  4. I was in Japan for 4 days regarding an Australian mining camp project. My mother is currently staying with me for a couple of months, so I took the opportunity for a no kid holiday and met up with my wife in Phuket, after I left Japan. I also had to buy a lot of bar-girls drinks in Pattaya City because it turns out I suck at connect four.
  5. DF has 3 different fences. Did DW run out of the fence with the upper detail because even though it's not my preferred option, A ramp fence with a bit of detail, would have looked better. The detail on the back fence is 100 times better because it's more in keeping with the ride. You want me to review my job?
  6. In a perfect world, I would have added an extra cave over the launch track. But if DW only had the money for one cave and I was to design the theming, I would have built the cave over the launch track instead of the current cave. Not only would it hide the back of house amenities, you would experience the cave 3 times. Caves should disorientate you because you go from light to darkness to light again but DW's cave doesn't do that, because DW gave the cave windows.
  7. @DaptoFunlandGuysometimes it comes down the park spending the money in the wrong areas. Steel Taipan has the most expensive queue rails/balustrading on the Gold Coast. Thank you. I probably was a bit grumpy Friday, after my flights home, so I'm sorry for my part in it.
  8. Sorry @themagician I wasn't referring to you, when I was talking about opinions. You are definitely not in my Karen group because you are always open to other people's opinions. I do agree, something was needed to stop the kids climbing, which is sad but it is the time we live in. I would have been happy with an electric fence. //s
  9. The maximum fall height anywhere around the ramp is 750mm so as far as the NCC is concerned @themagicianno balustrade is required, only the handrail and bottom rail, which in this case, is the block wall, DW has extended past the ramp. DW has installed the fencing off its own back. I'm fine some people thinking it's fine, as what I said is what I like, and I was talking for nobody else. Side note, because people keep saying it was because off budget. It looks like a bunnings pool fence but in reality, it's an expensive fence made to look like a bunnings pool fence.
  10. Everything you said with your reply was you making shit up. All I could do was laugh at you.
  11. Do you know what is more annoying @Rivals All the Karen's on here, telling people what they can say. Telling people people what to do. @Brad2912, Brad, Brad, you be a good boy and copy and paste news articles from now on. F%^k me. If people don't like what I have to say, don't read my post.
  12. Greenery will make it look better but the 3 layers of pool fencing I don't like. What is even the point of this fence? Why is the fencing so high above the handrails? Let's go to the expensive of great building that are in keeping with the other facades of the area and whack 3 ugly fences in front of them.🤷‍♂️ As for what I would do. I would match the stage. You brought it up.
  13. @DaptoFunlandGuyso do i like the pool fence at MW?
  14. LOL. I thought we here to talk about theme parks and not me. The buildings are great and if you go back through this topic, you will see, I said that.
  15. Bunnings pool fencing. Shitty painted block walls. That ramp looks SHIT! What the hell is DW thinking?
  16. I didn't know DW was installing a ramp to it's new under ground car park //s
  17. @DaptoFunlandGuyI don't really care anymore because - 1. I've already shown full clearance with fence installed. 2. I'm currently sitting at Sydney airport waiting for my flight to Japan. (talk soon, Toodaloo MotherF^&kers //s)
  18. I'm not asking for the whole pool to have no floor over it because around 60% of the pool is enclosed with buildings but where it opens up to the public, half the mesh floor should have been removed.⬇️ As for the fence. You only need 1150 from the concrete pad to have leg clearance over the fence. The mesh floor measures 5m in width. And don't forget. You can lift the chairs at the start of the ride to clear any fences.
  19. Dw killed that building long ago when DW re-themed it.
  20. In this case, it's the only thing that would make that track layout enjoyable. The reason why, all my points are about, attention to detail and not about spending big money. Welcome to the winning team. //s Hopefully DW have something planed to hide the nasty.
  21. It takes attention to detail for a theme park to be great. Yea, the attraction will look good when when finished but DW didn't take the opportunity to make it great. Plastic lid or an infill skimmer lid? Not expensive but looks 100 times better. DW went the Coomera public pool option. This ⬇️ Half the floor and show me the water, so not only are you saving money on building the floor, it looks 100 times better, and you can still run the water feature. Another example - Seabed Spash a good attraction but not a great attraction because ⬇️ An interactive screen people can see. A voice changer for Captain Cal Amari so when the janitor gets a turn to operate Cal. Cal doesn't sound like he had a hard night on the town.
