  1. I think as we get closer to the opening some of the rides will be opened. What would you do at DW if everything is closed? DW has also started replying to comments on Facebook again today.
  2. @thunder001 The age old foundation debate. For on the record it's a regional thing. In Australia it's a footing. If someone ask you for a biscuit or a cookie do you correct them or do you know what they are talking about. If I'm talking to a client and the person calls it a footer, I will call it a footer too, not to confuse that person. @themagician called it a footer so I called it the same so if somebody is reading it they won't think we are talking about 2 different things.
  3. By the size of the footer and the amount of Tie-down I might have to rethink if this footer is for bracing. Might be a chance that you will drive under the coaster as you enter the park. Ok who has ridden a Mack train like this? What do you think about your feet not touching the floor? Mack wheel porn. (just because)
  4. I don't think you do a spelling test to become a MP. Side note why should MW pay for a road upgrade if all the developers who have recently contributed to the congestion where not made to upgrade the road? Blue area marked is where shops are located that MP talking about.
  5. I with Alex the B man. If he was painting he would be standing up with a roller and wearing white clothes.
  6. I would think it's pretty safe to assume it will be open at night. One last letter regarding the car park.
  7. The RC was approved under the Town Plan as self-assessable. The Car Park is getting assessed at the highest tier because MW are changing the use of the land. You only must send out letters and display the sign on the land once you have reached this level of assessment. The good news for everybody else in parkz is the closing date has come and gone and since council must vote on this and I can’t see this happening before Christmas. With tenders going out for TopGolf I think our focus might shift to this for a while. @loki75 if you have seen this can you give us the location of TopGolf. From what I can see Astute Projects is involved. Who is Astute Projects you ask. Astute built Storm, GL, Seal Harbour, Polar Shores, Paradise Country Open Mine and the Constictor slide.
  8. What are you talking about @Tim Dasco I spent many years as a teenager hanging outside of places.
  9. @themagician Some people are already complaining about the coaster and some of the people are trying to drum up support against the car park with anything they can use. I just want to make it clear that MW hasn't done anything wrong but the lynch mob are telling residence how much MW is expanding and how much more noise and traffic it will bring to the area. This was put up by one of the residence. People are posting this. "Its general knowledge that village roadshow has the money, and money talks.."
  10. This is the letter MW sent out. It just tells the home owner where to go to get more information. Now the home owner is telling MW where to go. MW wouldn't have a need to release that information. Maybe MW painting the crates had nothing to do with us seeing it but so the locals didn’t look Mack up to see what Mack was. This is X-Files shit now. If you want a copy of the plans all you need to do is contact the construction company and tell them you want to put in a tender and they will send you the plans.
  11. Council will not release that information to you. Maybe the person measured it on nearmap. The M1 would not be shown on the plans. WnW front gate roof is just over 30m. There must be something within the local plan that allows it.
  12. Why aren't you the fun police today.
  13. Maybe QH&S have asked them to remove the wheels of the chair before they re-open. If they are wheels but it looks like somebody might have crossed the yellow line.
  14. It’s a problem for skeet who sits on his ass all day and now they want me walk an extra 70m up and 70m down. It could double as a queue for the new coaster if MW only run 1 train.
  15. I dislike it when people say “I want a ride like a Tron ride”. What they are saying is I want a clone of a ride in my backyard. What makes a ride unforgettable is an original ride. I may never get to ride Tron but when I go on holidays I don’t want to be riding the same rides that I can ride at home.
  16. I thought a tunnel was the way to go also. Bridges are a pain in the ass for prams and wheelchairs. You either need to build a lift or a big ass ramp. If the footbridge is 4.8m high and the maximum gradient is 1:14 and require an interval every 9m you are going to have at least a 70m long ramp each side.
  17. MW looking at building a bridge. In breaking news. NO MONORAIL!
  18. @AlexB I like the idea. It gives the operator something to lean against when they turn up to work drunk. @webslave stop being so correct.
  19. Don't you worry about that @AlexB in one of the objections some guy was complaining the coaster was being built to close to the M1.
  20. To add to that QLD main roads referral response back to GCCC is they have no objection to the car park because it is not on its main roads network and will add no extra load to the M1. If I was a resident I would be worried more about a 60-metre coaster, however many new cabins that MW are about to build, a hotel and a golf thingamabob that people will get intoxicated at. What I don’t understand is why buy next to a theme park and complain about it. 2 out of the 5 people on the back of the new car park purchased the property last year. This is a very good lesson for anybody who is ever going to buy a house. Do a 5min check and see who owns the undeveloped lots near you. MW was always going to do something on this land because you don’t pay rates on land for 30 years just the fun of it. Only so much can be said about a car park so now I want to discuss the hotel. I'm having one of those skeet feelings again that the hotel will sit on top of TopGolf.
