WnW 2010: Aqua Loop, Flowrider, Zipline, Skycoaster
Spotty replied to Intamin's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Moving the Twister wouldn't be such a bad idea. But there is no use with the Speedcoaster. IMO the Kamikaze and Tornado offer a similar experience with the Zero G Feeling that it advertises. -
Have you seen photos of it recently? When it went to LPS last year, it had only just arrived and was looking very minimal. I've attached a few photos from AAF. Full Credit for these pics go to TopGunner14 on there forums.

Also, by the looks of things half the Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster Queue line will be used for a maze of some sort. It was blocked off today, as well as the Chinatown alley.

Exactly, they don't have to stick to the same scripts every time as they don't have to worry about copyright / licensing ect. in the same way as they would have with Police Academy.

I rode around 20 minutes after park opening. The main room for the ride was rather good, still a few MINOR things not working, but it's the best I've seen it in a long time which is a good thing. I also saw Hollywood Stunt Driver for the first time today, and I don't really see why everyone was bagging it out so much. It was NOT as good as Police Academy, but I still found it rather enjoyable.

With only 9 cars instead of 10

According to the Myfun website, Lethal Weapon is back open again. I will be heading down there tomorrow so I'll let you know of any changes etc.

I believe this was mentioned in another thread about Superman Escape's maintenance. It's getting a bit ridiculous, and I wonder what could be wrong with it.
-
Oh, they actually have to run downstairs and re-set it? I thought it could just be done on the panel. How far away is this resetting implement if you don't mind me asking. If you are not able to disclose this information I do understand however.

Well, judging by the way he /she presented themselves makes it hard to decide weather or not he is a legitimate employee of WVTP. Also going by the fact that he openly admitted it does make it harder to believe that he / she is one. Just some advice though if you do work for WVTP, be careful what you say on these forums as it could be in breach of your work contract.

Hmmm, Tower of Terror is not even scheduled for maintenance yet but it's been running fine the last few times that I've been there. The claw has had the main arm re-painted and new seat covers and is looking brand new. Hopefully the rest of the ride will get the same treatment. I've said it once, and I'll say it again. Dreamworld is making a comeback, and the future is looking bright with Noel at the reins.
-
I'd just do the all 3 pass anyway. I wonder if Dreamworld will do something to compete with this or not.
-
Freakin NICE! My Movie World pass expires in September... so it's tempting. It was funny, I've been really sick lately, and I dreamed about something similar last night. I must not have been dreaming though!
-
Hmm, it is normal for the Tower of Terror to do what it did. It would have been a drive trip. Normally the ride pulls itself back into the station using the magnets, but not by the steel cable. Which leads me to believe that it was a epic fail. At least you can put AVPX on Q4U now

Personally, I don't think the Wipeout needs replacing yet. Sure it may be 15 years old now, but it's still running fairly well for it's age. It may have had it's problems but I don't think it's on the chopping board just yet. Also as far as I'm aware Vekoma do not make the ride any more, and It would be disappointing to see a Moser replacement as apparently they just do not compare. As for a new thrill ride, I'd love to see a decent full circuit roller-coaster like a B+M sit down or inverted. With the economy the way it is going, Dreamworld or the other parks should not be taking massive risks only to have them flop. They need a decent quality roller-coaster that is going to last.
-
I don't think we will ever see that policy implemented at Wet 'n' Wild for obvious reasons. Such as the BBQ's being installed, and it's a different sort of park to your traditional theme park. But also remember on Dreamworld's term's and conditions of entry, that "Food, beverages and eskies are not permitted into Dreamworld. No alcohol or animals to be brought in the park." Yet how many times do you see people bringing them in?
-
It is also more than a 10 minute walk to coomera train station from Dreamworld, around 25 minutes actually. I will see how things go closer to the date and will let you know
-
Why yes it is Knowing my luck it will pour down rain just like every other Screamworld I've been to.
-
I would go, but I have no way of getting home after Screamworld as there are no buses to Coomera Station afterwards. Or a way of getting from my train station home that late at night.
