  1. Once again putting words into my mouth. I explicitly called it out - school is in session, nobody is on holidays. December would be a very different story. But you knew that.
  2. 9AM the next day. It's 18 degrees and pouring rain. School is in session, nobody is on holidays. Imagine the amount of money they're saving in operations costs and payroll.
  3. So what you're saying is that it's a quality low-skill tool - but higher skilled individuals can make higher quality products with better tools?
  4. Objection your honour, this question has been asked and answered.
  5. There's a lot of comments on that post from people pointing out that: its very clearly stated on the website and prior to purchase it's still a great deal for $99 OP should research before buying For all we know it's your own post, given it's posted anonymously... Link to post on facebook Funny how you spent a long time previously telling everyone you don't use social media... until it suits your narrative.
  6. Just because you're living in make believe, it doesn't mean the rest of the world is there in Oz with you, Dorothy.
  7. Yeah I feel like someone played around with wordart in microsoft publisher a little too much. The one day holiday tag will always be synonymous with Dreamworld, especially since they re-released the original jingle a few years back - though I don't think they're still maintaining that trademark so it's probably fair game - but they should have gone instead for 'the happiest place on earth'. I definitely like the old logo better.
  8. I'm yet to see you call out anything that has been made up, or unfounded.
  9. If it wasn't applied correctly, corners were cut. if the surface had issues, then it wasn't prepared correctly, and corners were cut. if old paints or sealers were used, then corners were cut. If it was applied in unfavourable weather conditions, then the tradie should be shot for applying it in those conditions, evidencing - corners were cut. ...I do notice you've had nothing to say about the lack of shade in the queue or the continued presence of Arkham. You're focussing on one little detail doesn't negate the rest of the issues raised.
  10. Nobody is making shit up - there is literally photographic evidence of the issues i've mentioned. So if i've got this straight, a proper job would use quality paints and sealers - and therefore if it peeled, it likely didn't use quality paints and sealers (or quality methods). - Sounds like corners cut to me.
  11. no shade in the queues (and as far as I know there STILL isn't) arkham asylum still visible from public spaces (and as far as I know, it STILL is) paintwork on the pond literally peeling in the first 6 months after launch And these are just things I can think of off the top of my head. Like - i've visited a universal park where outdoor theming was in just as bad a state with paintwork peeling and the like, but that was 10 years after it opened, and on the tail end of a pandemic where half the park was still closed. Not a brand new attraction...
  12. Yeah WOZ looks like shit because village cut corners, right?
  13. The supreme court judgment has some interesting details... Pico Play Pty Ltd v Coast Entertainment Operations Limited [2025] QSC 227 (9 September 2025) Pico Play's total budget for the theming works of Rivertown was $5,000,000 The contract stipulated a total fee of $4,148,550 (ex GST) The GRC panels (i assume the themed cladding for the inside, outside and queue areas of the 'temple') were $1,561,794 (package 1a) The show elements for jungle rush - external, queue scenes and ride scenes - were $1,008,091 (package 1b) Murrissippi Motors was $1,002,339 (package 2) 'Area Development' was $576,326 (package 3) As an aside - it seems they had no involvement in Jane's restaurant which explains why the internal theme wasn't perhaps to the same standards as the rest of the land
  14. It certainly explains why there's a bunch of rivertown themed stuff still sat out the back of rocky hollow and no progress on JR has been made in a while - I guess we all assumed they were finished, but there's still a bunch of stuff out there so... who knows. I hope Pico does continue to work with them - they've produced the best looking stuff on the coast in a long time. but I wouldn't blame them if they didn't. I guess it also explains why they put in such horrible queue rails in the JR queue
  15. you can still get a lot of painting done in that time the calendar so far only goes up until april and there's always the possibility of a second period - especially if they're rearranging their maintenance schedule.
  16. DW is in a different phase to village though. They're still selling bargain basement passes with all the inclusions, akin to the VIP pass that included all three parks, plus paradise country, plus 1 free entry to FN, WC and Carnivale. Village reduced the offering and increased the prices because capacity was at its limit. Dreamworld is still trying to convince people to visit so naturally they still include as much as they can to boost the value.
  17. I agree - but there's no motivation to improve the product while people still lap up the freebie included in their pass. Remember when Fright Nights was included in passes? How packed the events were? Now prices are climbing on FN and by all accounts the events are more enjoyable for everyone. If you want them to improve spooky nights - be prepared for them to start charging for it.
  18. I don't disagree - however they should never forget it, and never try to hide it either.
  19. Good thing i'm not old and never said 'museum' then hey? I said 'honour their history' - and little nods in new constructions are the perfect way to do it - like how Disney incorporates clever nods to replaced attractions - eg: skyway gondola in Matterhorn, Eeyore (parking sign) inside Indiana Jones to name just two. But you'll also note I said that i'd rather than than turn it into storage sheds. So if given the choice - i'm going with nods than bulldozing guest accessible areas to store back of house shit.
  20. I disagree. I'd rather a park honour it's history than turn it into storage sheds.
  21. No troll here matey. I'm legitimately and genuinely holding a different opinion to you and challenging yours on the basis of the one I hold. That's called a debate. Labelling someone you disagree with a diminutive label instead of engaging with them on the facts of their argument is the kind of garbage coming out of the US at present. They can't debate the facts so they just label them to try to discredit them. I'm still scratching my head over the website functionality comment. What is it you think I do?
  22. I couldn't find a better photo, but my first thought would be to put this sort of thing over the support legs like the old claw - The base looks very 'unfinished fibreglass' so it's likely getting covered at the bottom.
