Park Addict 93 replied to Reanimated35's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Agreed, but until the 26th and the general knowledge of "changes" do not really see the point.- 202 replies

Worth noting Storm also now has single rider "Availabe"

Don't worry, people will do it anyway and destroy the garden.

Mega Pass holders will get 1 free tour.

? I was confused for a moment there. I agree with most of your points and I hope this is not a replacement for the MW event and if it is then a better event is planned. I wish for an expanded version of the DC Villans Parade that was offered a few years back. Price point is good, although agree it should be free for day guests. I am excited about seeing the park at night, having experienced an Anzac Day when they opened to 7pm IIRC was great,

WNW New Upcharge Attraction
Park Addict 93 replied to Park Addict 93's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Keep waiting I nitpick everything the term nitpicker was applied to me by a staff member at the parks when raising an issue with a lack of terms/conditions, and yes in regards to my own spelling it is not immune to mistakes/making me a hypocrite. Generally will only bring people up on it if they are tools to me. -

JoJo? When I say Parkz Elite I mean the group of members that discourage new people from posting, or any opinion contrary to their own. In conjunction with the reputation system and lack of moderation discourages people from posting. You are certinally under consideration for membership? Why would I be excited to share this? And as you can clearly see I have posted before, see the Arkham thread for example. It will open February 30 and be $99 for general admit, $89 for VIP/Members and Elite/Premier will get a water pistol to squirt people at various points in the track? -
WNW New Upcharge Attraction

What credit am I giving myself? I was simply sharing something I thought would be of interest to the forum. I am afraid I was not attempting to join your "dead poet’s society" despite my love of Robin Williams. I don't know Jordon but Jordan doesn't need to be appreciated by the "Parkz Elite". -

WNW New Upcharge Attraction

Have you considered I have been told something in confidence months back and am simply reporting what can been seen publicly as of yesterday. I didn't have to post at all. If I wanted to "I know something you don't" I could have reported on Vikings when I first heard about it or carnival at Sea World. All the wingers feel free to go down to WNW yourself and take some photos. Think closer to what was rumoured to be going in HWSD between shows. Does not require any major/overly permanent infustructure. For those that complained when I chose not to post White Christmas you have a funny way of showing appreciation when I do contribute. -
Noticed some construction/earth works next to Kamikaze the other day in the space formerly occupied by the sand/volleyball net. Some tires around too... I wonder what they have coming.

Did they run on the track at the same time? I doubt one would leave the station before the next had completed the circuit. -
True/noted, this is not my first rodeo having attended media events since 2010 (White Christmas Charity 2010 was my first, I was unprepared for food outlets not to be operating with cash ) I disagree and I know many that do not participate as they do not feel welcome. Including by comments made by "Community Leaders".

Thanks Maxx , much quicker than anticipated. The first was accidental, second was to see how long it would take someone to address it and you did not disappoint.

Have you considered a older photo was a decision I made? For an image provided via VRTP they are generally fine with it being used without attribution, I do not know why I would be counting a photographer as having ridden a roller coaster for the use of their image :P. Thanks, saved me a Google. Must have missed the AFR in all the DW coverage. May I quote the guidelines Also relevent. Newcomers are not welcomed, having visited these forums for 8 years I know that. In context of discussions in real life I hear "Parkz forums" frequently. Cant remember does the VRTP Social Media Policy refer to Parkz or Parkz forums.

Worth noting the first standby date is now listed for sale. 22nd

*You're wasting your time, I assume. Nothing worse than troll that cant't even spell. To be technical this is a relaunch/rebrand of a previous site New content and other things in the pipeline, patience is a virtue. Have a look back on Dec 26 Whilst Parkz is a site primarily known for its discussion forums that are not exactly welcoming to newcomers, this is for tourists and locals.
-
Nah, not at this stage. The site is not intended for theme park enthusiasts. How about this one, cropped?
-
It is an old VRTP PR photo apparently, but noted. Yes the red is god awful, the website is a major work in progress. I doubt it was Parkz, I think they were tipped off or found it through monitoring the park pages. When was the last time Parkz provided a statement to a news publication? Fairly sure they generally prefer to quote Joe Blogs who is up from VIC on holidays or that guy with a PHD studying coasters. It was fairly obvious regardless of where it was being discussed, "you heard it here first" hardly matters, I was ready to publish my article on the 8th but held off for the statement. Shameless plug (tick)
-
Saturday? Will ensure I am there to lie in the middle of Main St and get in the background of any photo you wish to take ?. Regarding the "snow" it is the same as always, just perhaps a little less at the end of the parade than previous years.
-
I know I have one I think you are giving yourself too much credit there, how many unique page views for that story and any coming for a media IP address? If I were a 7 reporter assigned to Gold Coast Theme Parks I would have this or similar running on the main and matinance pages of each park. Possibly it was from my newly launched website suprising amount of traffic considering the facebook views/shares.

Can Dreamworld ever FULLY recover?
Park Addict 93 replied to SunshineTom's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I think Dreamworld can fully recover with time, and investment. -
I don't think they were ready/wanting to announce it at all. I would say 7 News were reading these forums *waves* or were somehow otherwise advised. Perhaps they have a software running to monitor web page changes at the parks. They made a statement to one media outlet, a release was not made. I agree, but after being told a statement would be released Friday afternoon and that a draft had circulated internally then being told by a VRTP media representative on Friday "It will be released when it's ready". I am not always a fan of the way VRTP operate but I must defend them here. I think 7 forced their hand here, better to run with a statement early than "no comment" causing 7 to speculate. I'm am also a little disappointed to not have seen any of the management team from VRTP showing their support at Dreamworld.
