  1. I do uses spaces thank you, Mr Alex
  2. Having had a chance today i headed up to Dreamworld to check out the new attraction AVPX, my first impression was the building doesn't give much to attraction unless you knew or heard about it i don't think many people would have realized it was a attraction having said that the theme is quite good both inside and out, my first impression on the op was wow how rude though you then realize its all a act. The whole attraction in all was excellent as the day went on the que time would get quicker and quicker as they started to briefed new comers as there was also a group inside, i went on the attraction about 6 times during the day it was excellent and very well done and it makes you want to go back for more with its competitive side as you get the gist of things. By the end of the day my overall top score was 2750 and i received top scorer for that round with some pretty competitive competition. Well done Dreamworld, very good move and i would say this attraction will soon become one of there most popular.
  3. Thank you DJ for helping me get across my point here, you guys really don't know how much work actually goes on you all just assume from your own observation. There are reasons for the moves and decisions made by our parks, All businesses main focus is customer service and there product, and WVTP is the same as any other business they focus on there product they are not going to let there product fall half ass, things may change in time due to, changes in public systems and laws, like OHS, legal requirements. Our parks are gambling with lives every single day and have huge legal suits if something goes wrong in the case of fog it has been tuned down because of the brake issues, but someone every time seems to argue the point you all need to realize that these things happen for a reason and the parks try as hard as possible to maintain standard and you cant say they don't when the fog issue occurred machines were removed and they looked at other options the mist after the trial it didn't work so they have gone back to fog but less. these is going to be a never ending debate because someone will always have something to say against the fact until you work for the park with the issue and know what happens maybe listen to those who are taking there time to provide you with the information, the right information and know from on hand experience note from a similar job but those who are actively involved in the actual issue its self. This wont be the end because i know someone is bound to bit back at what i have said.
  4. Well im glad that someone has actually finally spoken about the positives thank you Alex B and im glad you kept a look out for the fogger. In my opinion the ride isn't as bad as people have been making it out to be it has been very good over the last month since progress work has gone on. We need to look at the fact that we are only looking at one section of the ride here the que is great no issues there is even colour changing lights on the fountain now and load section no issues hasn't changed the dark ride section little more light than before but still good as ever as my self and joz mention its not going to change its now that way for safety reasons that our parks must comply with in order to be in operation. The lift hasn't changed the main room little less fog you can still see the lasers and they are new and may i add they are pretty good, And the final drop is covered in fog we need to take into account in busy times, peak times fog is going to be moved around much more with more frequent cars going through and more on the track please take that into account. The music is now of a decent standard and of a good volume. Some staff incl myself on Friday afternoon took the time to visit management at office about the issues and copys of some of the posts from this thread (no names were shown on the documents) and we mentioned the concerns shown and you will all be happy to know that maintenance and park decorators took the time both this morning and sat morning to look at the issues and things are on the change and all those from the forum parkz, a big THANK YOU was on hand.
  5. In all honesty i have seen the results of these surveys before, and there not really going to do much about what you say about Scooby just to put it out there. Warner Village has hired this company to do the surveys very much like company's called Gap buster ect then once there time period is up the company there tally's the results into stats based on the multiple choice questions and the parks then use the stats to fix service help with marketing ect were it asks you on feed back on rides and stuff its never really taken into account all the parks want are numbers. Not to read though thousands of comments for days on end, By all means give it a shot but i doubt you will do anything if your goal is to get the ride fixed. just one thing i have said this so many times but everyone keeps saying it the music on Scooby Doo ISN'T off it is muffled and distorted it can still be heard but isn't in the best position so can we stop say it is off please for those who arn't able to visit the parks 3 times a week your creating a faulse impression on how bad the attraction is at the moment, and its really not that bad. little less fog and muffled music.
  6. Mickey D is exactly correct as bad as it may sound the average patron isn't goign to tell the difference now we firstly need to look at what be are complaining out here also two things not enough fog and the music you really need to think is it really going to effect the average guest anyway, almost every person comes off that ride and says they love it one of there favorite attraction's, Then you have us the picky theme park enthusiast's. The fact is we sit here and wine its not going to change about every couple of weeks someone come's to this thread and complains about the same thing the last person did its nothing new its always the same thing music and fog and lasers but they are always on. Its not going to change there is fog it just doesn't run as much its there, Music in true honesty i don't know what is happening there but i do know the issue is known by staff and management. We are not going to see a change we can sit and argue more and more over this and the total customer experience but there is going to be no change We all know the points that have been proven by each of use but we aint going to see any change soon.
  7. Look basically the point being proven at the moment here is that the ride these days is basically a half product, Well im afraid that's the way its going to stay even i admit its not in its best shape but its not going the change, and like said above sitting on our asses in front of a computer laptop whatever winging about it isn't going to change anything about the ride. If you are so distraught about make a move i have and so many other people have but not enough for a change. This is the way we see it now and i can see it's going to be like that for a long time to come, and i realize that's not a very positive thing for our parks to be doing.

  9. Ok, just to warn you all im about to have a huge rant about this thread and the recent post's. Unless you are a ride op on Scooby you can't say things on this ride arn't working or are turned off. Since the beginning of this month foggers have been installed on different area's of the ride, Under the laser at the spiders end of the main room and at the final drop. Now you can't expect there to be heaps of fog. Back ages ago foggers were removed for reasons which were legit (the fluid messing with the breaks) they then installed the mist system which proved to be a waste of money so they were turned off. Since then everyone complained about no fog/mist WVTP got complaints about the currect effects conditions from both op's and guests so foggers have been installed though, they are only to be running at a minimal and will not fill the room full enough so you can faintly see the lasers. As for the drop no one can say there is no fogger and yes it is working ride the ride sit on the left hand side and just before you drop you can see the machine beside the track along with a huge fluid tank. Lasers are always going to be on, op's ride the rides each morning now to check the effects on the attraction. As for more lighting added to the dark ride section it is a OHS reason for better view on the monitors for anything on the tracks and a few other reason's. As for sat i spent the day in the main room booths as a op monitor and i can say that i saw fog go off often plus all lights were working same with the effects. Plus you can't say things weren't going based on your min 1 to a few rides during the day ride the ride none stop all day then come and tell me things weren't going because you are bound to have a different experience now and then depending on how much fog was in the room at that time. Oh and any question's PM me and im pretty sure any other ride op's on the forums well sure as hell back me up on this.
  10. skystar_a320 you do realize someone is now going to have a go at you for saying that and you are probably going to cause a day long argument i find it funny because its bound to happen and i agree with what you have said there is going to be someone who is going to have a go at you over it because i also find these days there are so many members now who just argue back at everyone's post's they don't have a point to make or add something or contribute yet they always argue back and they generally end up being wrong in what they say. Mind you there is one member i know who will have a say in this or will attack at what i have said because they do it to me all the time. I would just like to add on that note great work to the community leaders and moderators of the forums for not getting involved and carrying on the subject at hand. Oh and back on topic through all the arguing in this topic i cant seem to find a correct answer here but is the house actually gone or not.
  11. As for my self i was only in a few episodes in the first season as for episodes ect im not 100% sure. Though it was early on in the season and most shots were taken at Sea World.
  12. It shouldn't speed up much may be slightly because of more water in the rides course. But it will cause more of a build up at the splash down as there and after the reverse Drop are the two input zones.
  13. Lotl_90 you hit the nail on the head. The controls for this are located at the monitoring booth which you can see when boarding the ride though as this can dramatically changes things and the rides conditions a parks engineer has to allow clearance for it to go through by entering a pin into the control monitor. Any major changes can raise levels to high which can make the boats go over the sides tracks and fly off course at the bottom splash down. This does happen now and then mainly when the water is pumped out of the rides holding pond at the start of the day and the first boats are tested there can sometimes be more water than needed.
  14. As for me in the movie you prob did see me but wouldn't have been for long from memory i would have to go back and watch it. Getting into film is very hard i have for 3 years been part of a casting agency cost around $170 a year that is a min fee depending on how good you want to get i was joined with one back home down the coast (northern NSW) but am now listed with the Warner Bros one located at the film studio's basically standard fee will give you the occasional email from them talling you about open castings ect higher you go the better i have been a cast extra in House of wax, H20 just add water, i played a main role in a ABC mini series was on late last year shot at Byron Bay called East of Everything. Iv done few commercials i have done a Movie world one once when i was younger was pretty cool and exciting. As for the Ambrose town set it was located beside the access road to Paradise country and next to the working studios actually very.
  15. As much as i loved the Ambrose town set i got a chance to be a cast extra when the film was shot back ages ago i played one of the wax people in the chapel/church at the end of the town. The set was remarkable the detail and the look of it all was very good and that would have been the perfect opportunity for the park to bring back a studio tour attraction. As for your question the sets were actually in Village roadshow sound stages not the Warner Bros ones as the Warner Bros ones were never active stages they were used only for the occasional tv show which was always hosted by the park. So the sets would never had stayed because the sound stages are for hire and the sets would have been torn down straight away as for the town it was acctually on location for a far while i know of a few security storys about kids getting in at night time ect the place got very vandalized and wasn't under very tight security after the filming. As many people may not know some of the exteriors are still on sit and can be re assembled in a matter of 3 days 70% of the sets were exterior only and have been kept in a service shed located beside the route towards paradise country. i have been in there a fair few times basically the sets are like ikea furniture they just all put together very easily.
  16. What i find frustrating about this is the fact parks management are always on the forums and always read what we have to say and i know that for a fact. There has been countless times were i have been asked about things said on the forums not just by myself but others who are in no way involved with WVTP. They know about the issues and they are discussed very regularly plus those who read the posts on the site are always behind you guys and putting out our points but it always come to cost lately and the laziness of the parks as mentioned i have heard the age old line over and over again "its our none regulars who don't realize these cost cutting moves" and they think this is what the rides are usually like and are happy with it. As much as im all behind WVTP there turning a blind eye to things and since the start of the year i have been very disappointment in senior management plus i think one reason was the dismissal of the 10-15 or so supervisor / management members at the end of last year i know some of them were great contributes to the park/s and one was a close friend of mine and he did a great job on a daily basis for the shows and entertainment department and since him leaving in that area in general i have seen a fall in overall performance. All i can say is i think Dreamworld is on there way to being Australia's leader again.
  17. Some staff were told or heard rumours about this at all WVTP parks today. The custom made flag wasn't cheap and this is the 2nd one replaced mid last year due to fading. the Gold coast Bulletin also covered the story and we should see it in the paper tommorrow its not a huge article but is mainly aimed at trying to find out any information. Brief of the story bellow: Outback Spectacular flag stolen Jack Campbell April 14th, 2009 A GIANT Australia flag went missing from the front of the Australian Outback Spectacular yesterday. It was believed the flag was stolen about 3pm. A spokesperson from Australian Outback Spectacular said it was not known whether an official complaint would be made. The Bulletin investigated the scene yesterday and found the front panel had been removed from the flag pole allowing thieves to lower the flag. Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000. Also from my understanding there should be a feature on ACA (A current affair) this week.
  18. Seeing the attraction is now open i was wondering if anyone has and views of the attraction photo's ect obviously isn't to exciting seeing nothing much has been said on the forums.
  19. As mentioned in another post, which i thought i should prob mention it here seeing this is a relevant thread and i imagine someone will carry on from what i mention is The original slides will not be re opening though some pieces and sections of the slide will remain as is. That's all i can say at this point.
  20. The original slides will not be re opening though some pieces and sections of the slide will remain as is. That's all i can say at this point.
  21. hey that map is back from the good old days were movie magic was alive and well and the parks name actually served a purpose.
  22. can you release his forum name this time.
  23. I also find this to be a great move by the park and Warner Village like said earlier towards Movie World this year is a year for touch ups things that prob won't be so well maintained when bigger things are of concern and on the agenda by the parks. Its amazing as to how many little things are going on in the parks. Jet streams refurbishment. Terror canyon refurbishment yet to be started. Corkscrew Refurbishment plus addition of on-ride photo's. Touch ups to both china town and parts of the western section at Movie World Touch ups to the Dirty Harry's bar area/outside Prop additions and changes to Main street at Movie World Being 3 months just gone things are looking quite nice at the moment and these small changes are creating for a better park experience for all. Think about how much has been done over the last 12 months by Warner Village theme parks. Main street roof (WBMW) Ticket booth sails (WBMW) Bus shelter sails (WBMW) Hollywood Stunt Driver (WBMW) Added and changed scenes at AOS Kamikaze (WnW) Jet rescue (SW) Ray Reef (SW) Changes and upgrades to Sea World Resort and water park 3 Added shows at Movie World Jet streams refurbishment. Terror canyon refurbishment yet to be started. Corkscrew Refurbishment plus addition of on-ride photo's. Touch ups to both china town and parts of the western section at Movie World Touch ups to the Dirty Harry's bar area/outside Prop additions and changes to Main street at Movie World And the list well it goes on, So no one can say that our parks aren't doing anything to improve all the time. I think that it's great they are putting money back into the parks and the changes to these slides are a great example. And whitsy you remind me off someone else from the forums. I wonder who that could be maybe we could go back in time and find out, but that means we need the help from...... To be continued.
  24. I did a little research on this today after reading the thread for a couple of days now. From what i have heard and been told we can be seeing a permanent change in color on the coaster.
