  1. I've never had to wait in the queue longer than 10 minutes. Just go on the quiet days.
  2. It's not so much a "bad" ride. It's actually pretty good for what it does. IMO it would be better if it did another cycle per ride though.
  3. See brad that makes sense, stick a tv up out the front like they have on that travelling 9D cinema thing where you can see what the experience is like on the inside. It's not revealing anything secret as you know you're going into the maze to be scared, and there's no telling how far along the camera is anyway.
  4. Actually, on a serious side for a moment, why not something like this, but with a drop tower instead of a coaster?
  5. That would be interesting for all of 5 seconds.... (the watching people be scared part - you don't go to FN to watch other people have fun)
  6. Are you stupid? Every drop tower needs a turbine theme. And what's this talk about a turbine theme not fitting any more? When you build an entire park around turbines, it will always fit. Also you forgot to mention 5. Taller drop tower must also be turbine themed.
  7. Because if they planted rocks, more rocks would grow, then they'd be overrun with rocks and have to remove them.
  8. Yeah but they're not just going to leave a giant dirt block there either. At least this way they have a nice little function venue for the resort.
  9. And a new "no entry" gate goes up to the grassy area in 5.....4.....3......
  10. First you get some dirt, then you dig a hole in some other dirt, then put the first dirt in the hole from the second dirt, then add more dirt to cover it. Dirtception
  11. How about when the Wipeout finally gets beyond repair.....
  12. I dunno, I mean I've seen a few houses being removed/demolished and they just have a few guys show up in hazmat type suits and just put a fence around the house with signs up while they work on it. Not to mention there's a open excavation (maybe 5m long and 5 or so deep) along side a main road around here and it's been open for weeks with a sign up that says asbestos. So going by that I wouldn't expect huge closures to be needed, but I'm certainly no expert in the area.
  13. I can't be 100% sure, but given that it was built when asbestos was still a common building material it wouldn't surprise me. They wouldn't need to close the park, just the goldrush area.
  14. Ah wasn't aware it was a water park given none of the other photos seem to show slides. Just seems like a random photo of a guy changing thrown in there
  15. Have a look around, we covered the SF vs DW money issue earlier. Plus teh SF "ride sharing" to make them "new" again at a different park. Plus the costs of shipping are less to the USA, not to mention the Australia tax and all the red tape to go through with council approvals etc.
  16. You go share that opinion with the local residents and let us know how you go
  17. Well you could say a lot of money has been put into it and you're not going to be wrong. The entire event would cost shitloads, but they'll easily make it back in revenue.
  18. Doomsday was/is a potential new ride for MW that according to the agreements everyone signed up to, they would never talk about it outside of the surveys but everyone talks about it anyway. There's a thread about it here somewhere. Think Batwing but in the helix of superman escape. Sheikra - lol Also this ^
  19. Maybe it was offsite for repairs, or maybe they lent it to DW to show what MDMC could be like
