  1. Hovercraft crashed into the ferris wheel causing it to roll into alien encounter starting a fire which burned the ride down. In other words, I don't know
  2. RCT3 will save a file with a .bak extension somewhere. That's a backup of the park. You just need to rename the file to whatever the extension is for the park normally. I don't have it installed so I'm not sure where it saves it though.
  3. Yeah I'm too young to know anything about expo88 myself. I was only born August '88. All I can do is look back at what they had and be sad it's not still there now
  4. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Australia needs a floorless B&M inverted wooden launched coaster. We've waited long enough.
  5. "I'd like to make it absolutely clear to the people of Australia that this is the safest place on earth." - Sir Llew, after fire destroyed the Alien Encounters ride at World Expo Park. "Expo is the safest site in Brisbane" - Sir Llew, after the fifth Expo fire, also in Alien Encounters. Maybe get in touch with these guys? http://www.celebrate88.com/indexdesktop.htm
  6. ^ When done in the style of Eureka, yes, awful. Something needs to be kept IMO. Given they fought so hard to save it it would make sense they'd want to keep it too.
  7. Must mean more shops are coming soon. Either that or they're going to replace it with a garden.
  8. That reply was in regards to that person getting a particular part of the ride. What mba means (I think so sorry if I'm wrong) is keeping the corkscrews themselves on display in the park somewhere (full size) as a monument to the ride that created history.
  9. "Now if we could get everyone to lurch forward at the same time....."
  10. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euthanasia_Coaster
  11. Sorry for the phone quality image on this one, but I'd already packed up my stuff and was on the way out. Looks like they're having a naming issue. Is it "Crazy Coaster" or "Spinning Coaster" ? [edit - IP Board seems to think this image should be upside down]
  12. Went to the Ekka tonight. Not a bad show but there's a lot missing from previous years. Anyway, here's one of the photos. I took a total of 275, 5 turned out reasonably well.
  13. Oh my bad. I thought it was a Disk'O. (never actually been near it) In that case, yes since Intamin consider it to be one, it's a coaster.
  14. Well I don't think anyone has confirmed for us yet if the ride is in fact still standing or if it's just the track. Wouldn't a ride SBNO mean that with a clean and a few buttons the ride could be functional again? As in it's just closed in the way that bermuda was? This was more broken down and never fixed for whatever reason.
  15. You're right, the manufacturer doesn't consider it a coaster. It's a Disk'O, not a Disk'O Coaster like shockwave
  16. If that's what the manufacturer calls it, then yes.
  17. At least they were polite with the response rather than just brushing you off.
  18. I tend to agree with the manufacturers with most of these. ToT - Coaster (Intamin Shuttle Coaster - interesting to note they seem to have stopped making them - or I couldn't find it on their site) Storm - Coaster (Mack Water Coaster) WWF - Log Flume/Flume* (I guess it doesn't have to be logs anymore) *Not sure what the manufacturer calls it, but to me it's a flume Shockwave - Coaster* (Not in my opinion, I'd consider it a flat, but Zamp says otherwise) Surfrider - Not a coaster
  19. Can we just move on from with the bullshit about how "this ride is going to suck" or "they should have done something else" and just discuss the bloody ride for what it is. This isn't some family ride marketed as a thrill ride. This isn't a thrll ride marketed as a family ride. This isn't yet another SBNO ride. And this isn't going to go away and suddenly become something else because 20 or so people on a forum said they don't like it.
  20. And we have an official opening Dreamworld Australia 3 mins · WIPEOUT RE-OPENS After 20 years of service and 7 million riders, Dreamworld’s iconic Wipeout will re-open today after undergoing a major facelift.
