  1. yea, i thought it was a village people reunion
  2. yea i noticed it last week too, but it wasnt there on one of the Halloween nights
  3. so now that the rides been in maintenance a few days, anyone seen if the new trains are on site yet?
  4. tonight was awesome. well apart from the brief storm which closed the rides for about 30min, then scooby breaking down around 10, but rides aside, here is my brief review... superman queue was out of the building again but they were running 2 trains. Lethal weapon was a walk-on with not even 1 person having to wait in line. A couple of things I think could have been improved though... They need more actors up around WWF area. There was fester running up and down the street chasing people and 3 vampires on main street. Not sure if there was anything around batman. Shrek was showing a few times throughout the night as well as the horror movies (didnt see any of them as we were happy to just wander through mazes and look around). The fog machines were slightly overdone on main street. Well, it would have been alright if they didnt make them fire at the same time when they were just opposite each other on the street, it was actually pretty dangerous to walk through as you could only see about half an arms length in front of yourself. Overall the night was excellent and we are going back on friday, but dressing up this time. just adding a couple of pics from main street..... and a ~5sec video of the laser on main street
  5. police investigation... i guess someone broke into a restricted area to get photos? or graffiti things????
  6. so who did they ditch from the team? i swear there are less drivers now than when it first started
  7. anyone know what's currently filming at the Warner Roadshow studios? I was there last week and they had a giant bluescreen built in one of the outdoor areas.
  8. no i meant what was in the building just a few months ago before they had the bull sharks? was it just an empty staff building?
  9. Just did a quick comparison from that video to the latest image on google earth...... Inside the castle is now the theater isn't it? Also, where was the Wild Wave or whatever it was called? And in the video, what was the seating area they had to watch the divers with the sharks? ~1990 2007/08 And on to present day park.... what was where the bull sharks are now?
  10. captive audience. they could charge you 30 bucks for it and people would still pay for the sake of not leaving the park yes im probably over-stating that a bit
  11. at the park the other day there was a couple of official seaworld people walking around with 2 KK representatives looking at different food areas of the park. they seemed to spend the longest amount of time in that sheltered area near the dominos outlet. *no i didnt follow them around all day to see where they spent the longest, i just noticed them a couple of times around the park and they quickly walked past other food areas.
  12. ok so i went to see this the other day... i saw maybe 30sec of it op does the introduction thing lights go dark movie begins 30-45sec later the projector clearly displays 'STOP' in the top left corner screen goes black and lights stay off no attendant anywhere to be seen some people leave some people get their phones out to see and go searching for an attendant different attendant arrives and says they lost power and are now running on backup power to get the lights back on lights come on and op tells us we all have to leave as they cant restart the show but the next show would begin on time now here's my problem........ 1 - it clearly showed 'stop' on the screen as someone pressed stop 2 - when looking up to the projector room, there was clearly power still running as the projector was still on and the room lights were on up there 3 - if there was a power outage, why didnt it affect anywhere else in the park or even the theming lights on the outside of the theater? 4 - if there was a power outage, how did they know they could guarantee the next show starting on time?
  13. i was at movieworld on friday and superman had 2 trains running with an (at most) 5min wait time. lethal weapon was running only the blue train and there was no wait at all when i got there and maybe a 2min wait after that. the red car was no where to be seen as it wasnt parked in the maintenance bay (unless that rollerdoor it can go thru leads to more maintenance track - but it looks more like that would be where they could load it onto a truck and take it away) i also noticed that bad smell which has been mentioned before outside guest services. it smells like a dead rat or something. as far as that shop goes - i'd say they are making another shop there
  14. some problems with that..... 1 - there is a fence that covers part of the track near the resort 2 - there is still a large pile of dirt/stones sitting on the track under the corkscrew/seaviper 3 - the locomotive doesnt appear to be anywhere along the track and the carriages are separated into 3 groups. one in the tunnel behind the seal show, and 2 on the tracks in what i assume is the maintenance area (under the corkscrew) and i think there is some more stuff over the tracks on the staff side of polar bear shores (speaking of PBS, i did the behind the scenes tour the other day and got to watch the bears being hand-fed by their trainers)
  15. so i thought there was supposed to be FMX (motoX) at the fright nights and it was the same people that do the ekka, royal sydney show etc.... but watching foxtel live now (HD and FoxSports2) gary reed who does the FMX show is currently commentating moto cross in tasmania is there a show on every night and someone else is hosting? or was it a one-off thing? -i was going to go to fright night tonight but no one wanted to come along.
  16. *it wasnt my intention to double post but i couldnt edit the last one. (the video is of some rehearsals btw)
  17. watching the rehearsal atm and they have a long trampoline on the stage they are practicing on. still looks like they have a long way to go yet and I still haven't seen anyone go near the endeavor ship over the past couple of days. one guy I know has a friend in the show who says it only a few weeks away though.
  18. its never necessary, but its always useful to see more of the park unless you only want to do certain rides and maybe only a couple of time each. but it all depends on the day, it may be quiet making it worthless, but it might be busy, you just never know. i personally always get the q4u just to see more of the park and i'm not really patient waiting in lines
  19. little update from seaworld... Sea World - Gold Coast, Australia wrote: Preparations are still underway for the launch of Sea World’s new show “Pirates Unleashed”. This new show will continue the Sea World tradition of high quality live entertainment, and will feature acts of physical endurance, acrobatics, precision cutlass play and much more. Due to the highly technical nature of the action sequences in the show and the high expectations of our guests we have decided to extend the opening date to provide the cast and crew additional time to rehearse and hone their skills. This will ensure that, once opened, our show will amaze and delight all who witness it! More details on Sea Viper coming soon.
  20. last week was school holidays too *shrugs*
  21. There's something inside me that feels Like Breathing in Sulfur... since it was school holidays its likely some stupid kid thought it would be funny to let off stink bombs
  22. here is one i took on my phone at carina in brisbane just to show what it was like WITHOUT a sepia filter
  23. quite easily really with all the unused land they have. but a 12 inversion coaster would have seen some work beginning by now for a jan2010 start
