  1. Craig is from the hotels and resorts so it's pretty different to theme parks etc. But only has knowledge of tourism industry. Just weird that Todd didn't last long. Something must of happen for him to resign. Excuse was moving to sydney for other opportunities.
  2. ARDENT LEISURE GROUP MANAGEMENT CHANGE Ardent Leisure Group (ASX: AAD) today announces that Craig Davidson has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Theme Parks division to replace Todd Coates, who has tendered his resignation in order to pursue other opportunities in Sydney. 3. I think it will be based around port/docks then leading into a massive storm that swept though and the only way to get out is being rescued by Coast Guard Rescue or something along those lines? Construction is underway at Sea World on one of the most exciting new rides ever seen in Australia. Storm Coaster will open at Sea World in September promising the whole family a thrilling journey through a storm ravaged container port featuring amazing water and fire effects.
  4. The whole Idea for the station is that it's going to be themed or look like a shipping container.
  5. No timeframes at this stage as it's Aussie World things can change, but you might see a new ride at the end of the year or def next year. (Easter maybe?) Leakin logs was planned to open last Feb but opened before Christmas. So you can see things don't go to plan with Aussie World. Just also Aussie World did buy the old Dodgems cars from Dreamworld. They are up and running. Also Unconfirmed at this stage of a small water park with slides in a couple of years down the track. But no word yet. But at this stage you will see a 2nd hand ride coming to Aussie World to add to the collections.
  6. Yeah, Aussie World was being tight. A new ride (2nd Hand ride) will be built I think at the end of this year leading into next year. Plans are that the ride will be shipped to Aussie World and they will be do re-paint etc, like what they have done to the Plunge. There are plan for new rides near the slide
  7. Aussie World was suppose to get a Air Race but didn't have enough money for it, so Dreamworld brought it instead.
  8. Well one, it's not the same ride it's different and two, age difference.
  9. From there Web Site "We at Carnival Land Amusements are strongly committed to the "hands on" approach to management. Al our staff are experienced and trained to ensure maximum success and safety. They all hold current Child Safety Blue Cards. Our reputation of professionalism and reliability is second to none. We will arrive on site well before the starting time to ensure that everything is set up and ready to go, on time, every time, so that safety of all concerned is assured. All of our amusement rides in Brisbane and the Gold Coast are maintained and annually tested by our engineer and maintenance crew to ensure all the equipment runs smoothly. At Carnival Land Amusements we are proud of our outstanding record of reliability and safety." "This ride A real crowd pleaser! It starts spinning anti clockwise, builds through an off centre motion with centrifugal force pushing you to the edges of your seat." It sure does push you on the edge of your seat NEWS: The Kid was measured at 110cms so now they are wondering why he was let on with his friend who wasn't an Adult. The Ride will remain at the school as OHS etc will be arriving tomorrow.
  10. The height was 110cm for stingray at Dreamworld. But that was a tame ride. This one is a bit more faster.
  11. I did get news that apparently Carnivalland Amusements dropped the height requirements so they can have more kids rides. : The thing is that they need to check everytime no matter what. Sometimes operators feel lazy around the afternoon because they would of known that the kid would of already been on, so they wouldn't bother checking. The ride must of went pretty fast for the kid to land from a gate to the top of a tent.
  12. MINIMUM HEIGHT: 130cm unaccompanied or 110cm accompanied by an adult. I dont think a 5 year would be 130cms.
  13. Making News..... A LITTLE boy is in a critical condition after he was thrown 10m from a show ride at the Mary MacKillop Catholic School fete. The five-year-old came off a ride called 'The Frisbee' just after 2pm and sustained serious head injuries including an skull fracture. It is believed that the boy was on the ride without the company of an adult. Police detectives, along with the forensic crash unit and Occupation Health and Safety officers, are investigating how the boy came free of the ride. Reporters State: "The boy was flung into the fence then ended up flying into the Fairy Floss Stand". Two ambulance crews attended the scene to transport the boy to the Toowoomba Hospital where he was met by the AGL Action Rescue Helicopter. The helicopter's flight doctor and flight paramedic stabilised the boy before he was airlifted to Mater Children's Hospital in Brisbane. He is in a critical condition. 14. Ummm.. isn't the CEO at dreamworld from Wonderland? Go figure.
  15. Well the thing is, Marketing doesn't advertise much on closures as they would lose money if people saw it and won't end up going to the parks, so they would wait till they turn up. It's basically stupid but that's how Aussie World did it. If they have a event on and needed to close early or close a ride for other reasons, they would advise at the entry but not via 'Social Media' so they won't lose a lot of customers. But they sure do get a few complaints. But that's how they work really. Trying to be greedy and get the Guest Services to handle it. But hey it's how they roll.
  16. Well Obviously. The picture was from overseas : The whole grey area isn't all indoors ( Old Building ) Because it's not big enough to cover. Station side
  17. Nope, this picture was from overseas. But same layout that Jacob posted the picture of.
  18. I believe that the grey section is the ground and is an enclosed for the water. Picture Below.
  19. New Video/Ad has been released today showing both new attractions that will be hitting the parks! Indeed it was mention it was a 'Mini Cars Driving School' on the TV advertisement.
  20. The only use one now (On the track), Because if they have 2 on the track it short circuits the power. So they cut it down and they use the other one as a spare.
