  1. No, from the very first episode of Big Brother it always ended with the tagline "Dreamworld the home of Big Brother", even showing a helicopter shot of the house in relation to the park. That's true, I remember one of the series, they edited the evictions to make it seem like the house lead directly onto the stage through a revolving door. I know that when channel 9 took over they were open to holding it elsewhere but ultimately chose Dreamworld because of Government contributions to TV shows filmed here in Queensland and the fact that Dreamworld already had purpose built facilities on site. It was also said that Movie World, Luna Park and Fox Studios Sydney all put in "bids" to hold the show.
  2. How do we know that the superman figures haven't been replaced a few times over the coasters life?
  3. Although ratings are low on Big Brother I doubt it will be going anywhere soon. The ratings are consistent and the show targets the key demographics of a younger audience which is highly sought after in advertising, and Big Brother has been in the top 2 programs for this key demographic almost every night it has aired.
  4. Impact Multimedia created the animated Storm coaster for Sea World's advertising campaign.
  5. Aussie World hasn't had its images updated since September 1, so not much to see there in terms of changes.
  6. Nearmaps have just updated their maps, with the latest images from 6th October. I'll add a few things I've noticed from around the parks, any requests let me know. A lot of resurfacing work has been going on at Seaworld, the floor of Ray Reef is new, they trimmed back the large tree, also notice the flume pool is now painted blue. Here is the vacant land left from the Sea Viper Wet n Wild Jnr. New shade structures at the wave pool, also new updated colours at wet n wild enterance. The newly updated Ocean Parade at Dreamworld, with the Tailspin and refreshed Wipeout. The Triple Vortex
  7. Epcot in no way has a lack of visitors it is the second most visited park in Florida behind only the Magic Kingdom, and third overall in the U.S (behind Magic Kingdom & Disneyland).
  8. It is replacing the indoor part of dinosaur island.
  9. Considering the Village Roadshow Soundstages at Movie World will be hosting the boxing events I think it would be a great time to add a major new investment to the park.
  10. That's what I meant, they added it then, but sales dropped as a result, but they won't go back to the old formula so that we remain 'uniform' with the rest of the world.
  11. Mountain Dew Code Red was never intended to be a standard line, Schweppes often release variants of different drinks every now and then for marketing campaigns. Pepsi Max is Schweppes best selling drink flavour, even out selling standard Pepsi, Mountain Dew is actually a rather poor performer in terms of sales, and last year when Mountain Dew had caffeine added in Australia, sales actually dipped further, but Asahi (The Japanese Owners of Shweppes/Pespsi Australia), want the range to be "standard" worldwide, and Australia was one of the only countries selling Mountain Dew without caffeine as standard.
  12. The amount of useless posts from people just driving past the parks and maybe seeing something from the highway is getting ridiculous, I can confirm that.
  13. Speaking of Dr Pepper, Schweppes Australiia holds the Australian rights to Dr Pepper and Pepsi, but I would hold my breath to see it return to general sale in Aus, there just wasn't a big enough market for it. The Dr Pepper you see at Coles and a few other places is parallel importerted stock.
  14. From the wording it seems the lisence will be an upsell purchase. It says kids will have the "opportunity to get" a lisence souvenir.
  15. I don't see why they can't carry tubes up, it is only a two person tube ride after all.
  16. It's a shame they are not fully maintaing the Dreamworks figures, you can see bird poo on Tigress' head, spiders living on her and rubbish on the shelf behind the Duck (Po's "dad"). A quick wipe over once a week or so couldn't be too much effort surely.
  17. Looks like there will be a few animated figures as well, you can clearly see the top of Scooby Doo's head in the barell under the Scooby Castle, presumably he will pop out as the kids drive past. I'm pleasantly surprised and impressed so far.
  18. They must be reading these discussions haha, I'm surprised at how many positive comments there are regarding the store and people wanting to visit just because of it - I'm sure all of the merchandise would have been available elsewhere in the park - They should turn the old lethal weapon store into a villians themed shop.
  19. Parent swap is a good idea, especially for those visiting with kids and don't have a "non-rider" in the group. I agree the TV in the queue is a bit dated in my opinion most people carry smartphones with a world of entertainment in there hands hands anyway, even for queues where no loose items are allowed surely people can just TALK and enjoy being in each others company. I also think DW will ultimately use the TV's as an advertising medium for ticket upgrades, Q4U, year passes etc.
  20. Cut snake is an Aussie beach themed name? Regardless I think it's time WWW update their website. They are still referring to the green room as though it's still being built and that it "will be 1 of only 2 of its kind in Australia".
  21. Well I don't see how the "Super Tubes Hydro Coaster" name fits the Aussie theme and the "Green Room" is also a bit of a weird naming choice.
  22. Don't know if anyone else has seen this, but its the original concept for the Little Mermaid Ride, would have been similar ride system to Peter Pans Flight, I can understand why Disney went with the people eating omnimover instead though.
  23. All this being said I think we may be judging Junior Driving Schools lighting way to early - no one has actually seen the finished product yet, because it doesn't even exist. Who knows if the the lighting in the pictures will be the final result? The ride is still being built so I dare say that the lighting is just the generic lighting for the building during construction, and that the "theatrical" or "show" lighting is yet to be installed. The builders won't build the ride while the ride is lit in show mode will they?
