  1. Load times essentially come down to how well a crew work together or how the individual works. I know in the years I have done this stuff if you haul ass you get the job done much more efficiently for the guest. But for LPS it can be busy one minute and two hours later the park is dead. Being a small park without an entry ticket does cause this issue I believe. The worst two rides honestly the park currently have for loading are the tumblebug and spider. Both have suffered this issue when utilising one staff member but usually, work great when they have two or three working on each ride.Maloneys corner has some potential but as to what you do I have no idea. It is the one section of the park however that is exposed to the other side of Lavender Bay and residents from that side have complained about things before.
  2. Money is the key word here. The Ranger has been a staple attraction for the park but it seems like its days are starting to run out. It is randomly down a lot and honestly, the amount of mechanical noise it makes puts wipeout to shame. I would love to see it stay but a more modern version that allows for faster load times would be much more acceptable. The one thing the Huss model has going for it is the size of its footprint is rather small.
  3. The Huss rides at the park are ageing and not terribly well as we would all be aware. The breakdance can easily be replaced with a similar model and I think we will see the park do such a thing. The Huss Ranger tho I am not sure about. Over the years it has started to run much slower and the timing from the automatic swing to the drive direction is getting worse. It has had a few modifications done do it that I would say it will see its days out in its current location.
  4. Straight to the point. I agree less talking and more action is required.
  5. When the old UFO ride was there it was the same issue with the sun. The shelter was asked but never received. I am sure this is something that can be fixed possibly within time.
  6. Great to see Volare finally open. I am shocked ( what a pun ) to see the powerpoint still in place and repaired. It is most likely to the only piece of corny theming that still exist in the park.
  7. You would think so. until you start to realise something went terribly wrong with the ride. I am having a wild guess and saying the supports suffered stress fractures and maybe even the gondola too.
  8. Build a cage over it..............JKS.
  9. So will the Chill out zone open first or Sky Voyager ?
  10. I think it's looked like this for a while if the gondola has been off.
  11. Slightly funny that two rides that both involve the concept of flying are both delayed. But in all honestly i am sure Volare will open soon. Maybe they are changing basic stuff like queue line fencing ect and had a delays from the fabricator.
  12. Be ironic if they forgot to install fire exits. But in all honestly the issue is with the building. They lost the key's to the front door.
  13. Careers page does not mention anything about three months for lifeguard or slide attendant. I think it'll be back of house, maybe some cleaners and shop staff if anything. I'll wait tho so see if this is indeed true about the redundancies however.
  14. Sky Voyager will not help the park the way management think. Even when it is the first of its kind in the southern hemisphere it still will not save the parks current image. Rather sad.
  15. Just to add the in park screens have been a feature for around 12 months. It is a shame nothing has happened with the back drop for Volare as yet. Who knows maybe its going to get a vinyl wrap or something similar to how the back of Coney Island was done.
  16. Valid points. I know when the UFO used to operate the crew on the Ferris wheel would keep and eye out for anything unusual and UFO crew would do the same. But obviously in today's world extra safety precautions are required.
  17. Hi all. Went down to LPS today. Took some photos of Volare. It seems it has been under test or they are preparing for testing during the week while the park is closed. Also interesting to note ( it is in the pictures ) that a ride camera is facing towards Volare. It does visually fit into the area rather well. It seems like it will be another single operator ride as the gates will be controlled by actuators much like the Tango train 2.0. So i'd say it will be open hopefully within the next two or three weeks.
  18. It would be great to see the Big banana water park expand. It is indeed great. I have not personally got into the complex but I have had a look from the outside. It's fortunate the company who built this are located in Coffs Harbour unless they have sine moved.
  19. The wave swinger that used to be at LPS always goes to the Sydney Easter show. A few years ago it was back at LPS for a short time.
  20. Thanks for the photos. I wanted to head into town today to see whats happened with the ride but wont be able too. I love how it looks so grand and elegant. Its the best looking themed ride in the park for sure. At first I was unsure about the location but its a great view from the section of the park. This attraction is much better suited to this site then the UFO was.
