  1. That sounds pretty awesome actually. Sounds like it would be a little bit like "My Bloody Valentine" crossed with the former storyline behind the Buzzsaw at Dreamworld. But best of all, you've got an easy plot that can be picked up by even the lowest common denominator while having enough depth to satisfy the super fans. You could be onto a winner
  2. Popped on over to TPR to see what was happening over there, and I saw this...
  3. That looks seriously good. I wonder if we'll see other food and bev options being upgraded?
  4. That makes a lot more sense. Personally, I'm not a fan of that style mainly because it doesn't align properly; the wheel is always out of alignment with the bottom of the "Hot Wheels". Also, the current logo would probably need to be edited so that curve of the "Hot Wheels" fits flush with the tyre.
  5. Really? My thought process was that they would use the current logo because of branding reasons, along with a small subtitle that fit's the logo's shinier and blended appearance
  6. Not to be pedantic, but may I ask where you found this image? While I understand it's meant to be a transparent image, that background removal on the Hot Wheels logo looks very rushed, the "Hot Lap Coaster" doesn't even retain the same distance throughout (thick distance at beginning before become thin around "coaster"), and the colours on "Hot Lap Coaster aren't in unison with Hot Wheels' colour scheme. This is either a poorly produced logo or a fan-made piece IMHO
  7. Sorry about that, I meant Dirty Harry. My lack of sleep lately is really starting to catch up to me so I'm sorry I messed up like that. Your speculation doesn't sound too far fetched. You might actually be on the money.
  8. Just leaving the park now, and there a few things to note White Christmas prep is in full swing. Santa meet and greet appears to be fully set up, the Roxy Marque is also prepared. The lights are all strung up as well. Remember the old Harry Potter store? Well it's returned, sort of. The Memoribilla store is now AT LEAST half Harry Potter releated merch. Wasn't there something to do with Universal and rights? That was my belief as to why the store closed. Oh, and Green Lantern appears to be soft-opening with staff members. Saw quite a few riding this morning, however there was never a full load. Seems like they're taking baby steps. Finally, I still can't tell just what the expansion by Rick's is. New seating area? Point of Service? Bar? Food Prep? I honestly have no clue.
  9. For those that don't know what stan means... As for me, probably just the Disney Parks in general, and maybe Alton Towers.
  10. My biggest fear, if this project goes ahead, is that our parks wouldn't be able to compete. By the sounds of things, this development has the possibility to tear our local parks apart like a category 5. It's always new to have something nice, but what happens if this ends up being worse for enthusiasts like us? If this ends up being a $2.5 Billion project, like their Yunnan park, then I really can't see how VRTP and Ardent could compete on a similar level.
  11. Came across one of the concepts for the Buzzsaw at Dreamworld. If the ride ended up being a perfect execution of this concept, I think I would ride it a lot more than I currently do. https://www.behance.net/gallery/7410147/Buzzsaw-at-Dreamworld
  12. Decided to go with a more reasonable size for my dream park with four coasters and four flats. Coasters Gerstlauer Family Coaster These just look fun. Nothing to large and intimidating while always looking extremely enjoyable.Intamin AcceleratorPreferably with a layout akin to the Mega-Lites. Accelerators give me the biggest rush on any coaster, and airtime always makes me fee like I'm on cloud nine. Could easily be my favourite coaster.Bolliger and Mabillard Inverted CoasterI hold a special place for inverts. Why not get one from what is arguably the best in the business?Rocky Mountain Constructions I-Box CoasterConfession: Never been on an RMC. Without having the first-hand experience, I can already tell that I want one of these in my dream park. Flat Rides Vekoma Waikiki Wave Waikiki Wave's are right in all the wrong ways. I feel like I should hate them but I just can't get enoughIntamin Giant DropJust like their Accelerators, these always give me a massive rush. I couldn't say no! Intamin Gyro Swing On the edge of being too dizzying for me, but it's always so worth it in the end. Magic CarpetFor when I just need a bit of an airtime fix.
  13. This may be a bit repetitive, but I've only seen fragmented information here on the forums. I was thinking back to when the Cyclone was open, and I was wondering what the original queue experience was. I never got to fully experience it, but all I remember was something playing on TV's and the turbine being operational. Would someone be able to give me a bit of a detailed description of how it was? I've always wondered what the so-called "shaking floors" were like, not to mention the original intention of the circular room at the end of the queue.
  14. Could it be that the car park just wasn't designed for a mass exodus of this size? Don't get me wrong, I found it quite a pain to get out after a long night, but I also don't think there is much that management can do without major changes to the parking situation.
  15. Also, did one of your photo get chosen for the screen, Reanimated? I swear I saw your Lizardman photo up there just a few seconds ago EDIT: Just noticed carousel music from RCT2 in the Freaks Precinct. I've been almost every weekend and the hype still isn't dying for me
  16. I've got my unlimited Fast Track in tow and about to head down the coast. Tonights going to be a good night...
  17. To be fair, their time has arrived. It's not like they've had smooth sailing over the past few years. Every time I've gone to Sea World, there has always seemed to be some sort of issue with the skyway. Now I just wonder what well will see happen to the remains.
  18. While Freak Show would have the best variety in characters, I think Murder House would have the simplicity to pull of a maze. In Freak Show, the villians come and go, leaving a bit of a convoluted plot. Porting that to a maze may not be successful. IMHO, I think Murder House would have the plot simplicity to portray a maze. "Open House" at the Murder House would give reasoning for all the features of a maze. But then again, Hotel has had the best set design so far, Asylum has the general "creep" factor, and Coven has... something? As much as I love the series, I'm starting to come to the conclusion that a maze based on the series may not be all that wonderful
  19. Firstly, can't believe I completely forgot about the exsistence of MDMC. What a pity. Also, that's really bad form of Honda is still sponsoring it in it's current form. Surely with they would care about something that's portraying their brand
  20. Another little thought just entered my mind... Unlike almost all of the rides (bar Dreamworks), Hot Wheels is actually a licensed property. Because of this, the ride is essentially representing the brand name that it holds. Could this mean that the chances of the ride falling into disrepair would be slim? I surely hope so....
  21. 2015: Movie WorldDreamworldSea World2016: I have no clue tbh. It all depends on whether I can actually stick to a budget. If I do get my shit together, I'm looking at the general L.A. area, so Disneyland, Knott's, Magic Mountain and Universal.
  22. A giant spiral really suited the theme of a cyclone. For Hot Wheels, perhaps not. I'm not too knowledgeable on the subject, but would it really be too difficult to enclose and air-condition the building? They do have a whole heap of time at their disposal, it might as well happen
