Goliath - Adventure World’s new Intamin Gyro Swing
Tim Dasco replied to Tim Dasco's topic in Theme Park Discussion
@Gazza I think it could defiantly be something like that. This way it is still is a thrill ride but does not have to be depending on what the rider does. So it will cater to a large market audience and that family/thrilling ride that is needed to replace BR and possibly inferno. Considering adventure World has brought from Gerstlauer before it seems like a possibility. I couldn't find the hourly capacity on this, but does anyone know what it is as AW have stated they are looking for high capacity rides? Does anyone think it could be something like Tail Spin at DW? Does anyone remember a few years ago when Mark said he was having dinner with Gerstlauer's agent? -

@pazzap I couldn't see the woodie price tag. I thought it would have been more than 3.5 million thats why I made that comment. * There are actually 2 traveling star flyers in Australia. 1 Travels around WA. -

2 things. @Slick awesome idea. Remember Mark Shaw told us about a month ago that the CEO of DW and his family were at AW for the day. (Potentially viewing Abyss) @Ashley I posted this on page 4. "Keep in mind theme parks plan years in advanced. (5-10 year plans) MW might already be planning their next roller coaster for let's say 6 years in the future. Most likely 2017 and 2018 plans would have been finalised and contracts signed. Remember ride manufacturers want a deposit at least a year + before the ride opens. So if the rumours of a new slide tower at WWW or other changes at DW were planned for next year than they would have been signed and already had deposits paid for. Meaning it's to late to back out without losing a MAJOR deposit. Keep in mind AW paid their deposit and signed the contract for MI3 in September a year in advanced of the ride opening. MW new roller coaster would have been signed of maybe 1-2 years ago." -

@JeffreyMoore I posted this earlier in another forum but I think is suitable for this form. Keep in mind theme parks plan years in advanced. Congratulations @Mark Shaw and your team for winning the Training Initiative Award for the third year in a row and being introduced to the hall of fame! Well done and well deserved! From AW's Facebook page -

Its not like the bulk of Movie World is themed to DC comics. (Comic books not the movies) Lots of theme parks can theme rides without paying for rights. Take AW's Abyss and Kraken, Sea World's Storm or when it was operating Eureka. -

@JeffreyMoore, Gold Rush country does have Buzzsaw. So 2 of 4 rides have been SBNO for 10 years. -
I like how everyone is liking the idea of a 4D free spin roller coaster yet everyone in America hates six flags for adding them. But its a great idea @Jamberoo Fan and seems like it would be much cheaper than Joz's plan. (His is still Awesome and I wish SW did both) I see this being a more likely path for SW as they are adding a family attraction and a thrill ride/roller coaster. The only other realistic option I see is SW getting a flat ride somewhere else in the park. Unless VRTP want to spend more big bucks on another major roller coaster or expensive development project. Which is still possible but unlikely due to everything happening at and around MW.

I think yes because MW want to make money. Shops make money. Roller coasters can have onboard photos. Shops sell onboard photos. Photos cost money. Park makes money. Look at vIllians unleashed area has its own shop. I am hoping this roller coaster will come in a Themed area like vIllians unleashed area which will hopful have some great theming like we have seen movie world do this year with DD and VIllians unleashed. -

Mark said it would "launch guest to new heights." AW needs another flat ride to make up for BR and potentially freefall. I still personally believe it's a star flyer/windseeker ride. -

Remember Mark's rule of thumb. If an attraction cost lets say 5 million itself. Double it for the total project cost. So it would be 10 million. Also I don't think AW want to buy second hand rides due to their experience with free-fall/inferno. -

It obviously not real. Look how wide the "blueprint" is. MW's plot of cleared land is not that wide. (Yet) -
We all just love spending theme parks money! ?

Saftey audits will also go through the mountains of paper work. Making sure everything has been filled out correctly and all work had been done and recorded according to procedures and guidelines.

@YLFATEEKS this poll was not created by Gold Coast Amustments Force. This poll was created by @Intimidator305. however it is really annoying having tones of threads for MW's new roller coaster. We have a MW roller coaster thread and don't need a thousand more.
-
@AlexB, I think that @Gold Coast Amusement Force is trying to say that it seems strange they got rid of BT because it was to expensive to fix. However it cost them 20 million to bulldoze BT and build storm.
-
Don't be silly. SW won't get a Giga. A polar coaster on the other hand.

From AW's Facebook page Sounds very interesting…. -
@ClassifiedLlama yes the kids land would be a few million dollars and it was needed. But nowhere near the 20 million for storm or a roller coaster price tag.
-
If I remember correctly the last roller coaster that VRTP built was Storm. They went Green Lantern, Storm than back to MW for this Hyper coaster. So maybe the next roller coaster might go back to SW. SW might be saving up for a big attraction. Since they have only done small stuff since Storm. (Plaza, Kids land and creatures of the deep) So maybe they are saving for another big attraction to come before the Commonwealth games. (not on the scale of MW but maybe a family or thrill coaster or a few flat rides) I would assume that each park is given an allowance to spend each year. (MW getting the most SW second and WNW being the last) Then each park can spend that money how they feel fit. So maybe SW is putting their allowance together to save for something big. (IE a roller coaster) OR my second theory is each park has to submit plans to VRTP and VRTP decide which plans they will fund and what they want overall. (Clearly VRTP want to develop MW to suit all the other projects that are being built on that site. ) (These theories are a guess on my behalf)
-
Not going to be good for SW if this is removed. Especially when the Commonwealth games happen. Unless they plan on a major attraction to come to SW replacing either Corkscrew or Vikings. However I doubt VRTP are going to have money left considering all the $$$$ they are spending for MW. Does Mack offer a buy one get one free on their coasters?
