  1. Does anyone else think that the shockwave has great potential to be THEMED well into ocean parade as opposed to being a dead space?
  2. Had a look around the new websites looks much better. Notice some story lines put into the slides that were renamed (Nautica land) and I thought they were clever to theme it into the Kraken story line.
  3. Just putting my 10 cents in at AW they have 4 trains for the Abyss (I think). But they don't always run all 4 trains depending on how busy it is. Sometimes they have started with 2 trains and added a 3rd if need. When they are not in use they sit in the maintenance bay. So can't Movie World do the same thing?
  4. If they were going to re-do some of the track and pay for that. DW may as well build a new roller coaster. The cost to replace track layout would not come cheap.
  5. I found this on Facebook. Thought it was pretty intresting.
  6. Anyway back on topic about the Kraken. I saw this comment on Facebook by AW in a response to a review on their Facebook page.
  7. Ok thanks. I have never personally been there so I don't have my own opinion on the park.
  8. I was just reading into WetSide Water Education Park. I don't understand how this is third on the list. Its a free place that has a little slide tower like Dragons Kingdom at AW and it has some small shallow kids pools with fountians and like a nature walk or something. (This is just from pictures that I found this out. So I could be wrong) But I really believe that Movie World, Sea World, Adventure World easily beat this.
  9. All I am going to say from reading what OceanGirl posted, Xexon did get the cyclone makeover and new train correct. So maybe that source could be accurate???
  10. I am surprised that WhiteWater World made the list and Wet N Wild Sydney or Gold Coast didn't and I am surprised that Adventure World wasn't on that list at all.
  11. They could be talking about peoples actual reviews and comments made on the link below is the hist rating. https://www.tripadvisor.com.au/Attraction_Review-g6161336-d565240-Reviews-Adventure_World-Bibra_Lake_Cockburn_Greater_Perth_Western_Australia.html Share on Reddit
  12. Yeah. But when we were talking about transforms the ride. That is a whole completely different ride. They are completely different to this 12D cinema. just wondering why is it 12D. 4D is this "4D film or 4-D film is a marketing term for an entertainment presentation system combining a 3D film with physical effects that occur in the theatre in synchronization with the film. Effects simulated in a 4D film may include rain, wind, strobe lights, and vibration." So what is the diffract between that and 9D or 12D. However I thought all we know of four dimensions so how can we have 12?
  13. I was only making a joke AlexB. But in all seriousness I have been doing magic and illusions now for 8 years.
  14. And transforms is made by a few companies including universal create and industrial light and magic which work with universal. So I doubt we will see something like that ride in Australia unless a universal studios comes here. It cost $100 million USD so take into account the exchange rate plus rights for the name and theme and our expensive labour rates and those factors it will cost more than $100 million.
  15. I know that people complain about is the walk. But they then complain that the chair lift is to slow. I just feel like banging their heads together when people say that.
  16. Read some of the comments on AW's Facebook page people are asking about if they could build stairs going up that hill. But their already is a set that has been there for years. See in image attached.
  17. I am going to say I am very impressed by Mark and his teams efforts. When there are complaints or things mentioned you go out of your way to deal with them. I even remember last year when people said on here about the weeds under Abyss and the next day they were gone. Its must truly be a great team because that what it looks like to the public. I went to AW with cadets and everyone said AW is clearly spending a sh*t tone of money and is really taking a massive step forward. A lot of people also thought the theming made it feel like a theme park and not a fair ground. I really want to thank you Mark and your team for providing a world class theme park on our shores in WA. Its showing also by having reached maximum capacity. Thanks again.
  18. Just going to put my 20 cents in. I went to AW the other day and went on the Kraken 8 times. When going up the hill yes the red bitumen was hot, however the cream strip really made a difference. To us the worst part was those little nuts from the trees that hurt the feet. But my feet were never 'Burnt to a crisp' and it was a 32 degree day. This was also before the hill had the shade nets installed.I can't comment on the queue because I had the fast past. But talking to people who waited in the queue I think if there was some signs that said the wait time. Like they have at disney and Universal Studios. (Electronic signs would work better on Kraken and Abyss) Would make for it better so people understand what they get themselves into. I also think this would work great for Kraken is to put water fountains in the queue line. On all of the Universal Studios outdoor queues they had them and when its hot outside they are a great blessing. However AW and Mark are clearly doing a great job and are trying to fix the situation.
  19. Is free fall together now? On Sunday it was in peaches. I used the fast past and it was so much better than waiting. I will say Kracken is amazing and so great. Went on it 15 times with the fast pass. Well done Mark and team on the slide.
  20. That would be the reason for why they open it on Boxing day. To try and encourage you to renew your season pass.
  21. All I am going to say is google earth lately in some places have pictures 10 days apart. Not all are the best HD quality. But just saying...
  22. From TPSN Facebook page: Looks like they might be getting rid of the whole ride quickly. Lets hope they remove the poles unlike dreamworld.
