Didnt they have the 3 different Batman’s at the 2019 event? They had a more comic book style suit, Dark Knight suit and the new daily one -

They should’ve definitely installed some temporary shading. Why they didn’t surprises me. And for WWW, was it because of social distancing reasons. Maybe they’ve been told they need to manage the queues spacing and that was the solution because people aren’t capable of doing it on the stairs. But they should be setting one some gazebos of some sort to help with shading -
That may be the case but it’s still got to be checked. And what about everything else’s? Harnesses, safety systems, etc.

Wow it’s a miracle. I can’t even remember the last time they had the water effect running -
I’m surprised to see that BuzzSaw isn’t closed all year for construction.

@AlexB I haven’t got access to Nearmap anymore, would you mind doing an area calculation for the entire AA footprint please. Including Courtyard, coaster, queue building. They are also commenting on posts confirming to those who ask

I really think the fencing let’s it down (as said in the article). It’s such a shame they couldn’t integrate the curvature of the walls in a way that meant fencing wasn’t required. Obviously some form of fence along the front is needed, but the integration of the exit is also a let down. Seems strange to have the exit point right next to the start of the queue, that could become a real bottle neck

According to TPSN there will be announcement about its replacement next year. I doubt we will here anything until 2022 at the earliest

I think AA was still as popular and I think to most, it appears more intense than DCR and SE. All those inversion, speed and being suspended made it one intense coaster. Despite it causing physical pain when riding, it was a fantastic coaster and sad to see it go. I hope we see another coaster replace it that’s just as insane

I don’t think we will see it begin until April/May Ground works will happen until Feb/March, then the concrete footings we will be installed, then track after that -
Well, what a very busy day at DW and WWW it was. I'd say one of the busiest days since reopening. Bluey and Monster Trucks are very very popular, so well done to DW for organising these extra activities for the holidays. Most rides had very decent queues. And, they have reopened the park loop to access Corroboree and what a difference it makes. Bluey is being held inside the Exhibition Centre. A large queue area is setup out the front of the building. An extended queue wraps around the wall towards Tail Spin and a trolley parking area is where Flowrider was. Sky Voyager is definitely still the most popular ride, with the queue overflowing into Main Street. WWW also had long queues, with most extending the full length of the tower. Access to Monster Trucks is through the wall where Zombie Evilution was. Show is very very popular. Was going to see the 12:30 show, walked up at 12:15 and the seating had reached capacity. From the queue of Gold Coaster, the seating stretched along the back of the Thunderbolt queue. Ice cream Parlour Reno is done BuzzSaw has reopened, but due to the lack of anything else in this area, the ride was almost a walk on Giant Drops queue area was full, with the queue almost reaching the stairs. Gold Coaster was about a 30minute queue. The other thrill rides had reasonable queues. Kids rides had very decent queues. It was great to see the path connecting from ABC Kids to Corroboree reopen once again (I believe this is only temporary for the holidays though). It made the park feel somewhat complete again. I hate the dead end that is caused when this path is closed. When you have to use the other route, you walk alongside a construction site, come to the Giant Drop, more construction, pass a SBNO ride and then a long path of not much to the back area of the park. Billabong Restaurant remains closed While some signs say Wildlife, this one still says Corroboree No Woolshed show The Cassowary are still in their enclosure A lot less Kangaroos are in the exhibit at the back. These were the only two I could see. Don't let this picture let you believe the park was empty. It was very very busy. The aviary and nocturnal house remains closed This path is also closed I thought this pond was empty, but there are still plenty of birds. But I think it needs some attentiom With the full loop open, the back of the park was busy and it was great to see. And here's a little Steel Taipan update Every food outlet was also open, including the Noodle Hut in Tiger Island. They also had extra food carts across the park, with every one having a queue

Hot Wheels Sidewinder Refurbishment
themagician replied to Tin Foil Hat's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Checked out the coaster this morning. It is nice refresh and fits really nicely within Ocean Parade. Removing the walls of the queue tower was a great idea. It is so much cooler walking up there now and gives you views of DW and WWW. While the theming is minimal, I don't think the coaster needs it. If this was a brand new coaster and this is all we got, it would be disappointing. But for a refurbishment on a 25+ year old coaster, it has a nice fresh feel. When you get to the 'inside' queue area, there are no fans or aircon, so it gets very hot in there. Thankfully the loading/unloading efficiency was very good (considering the train has social distancing), so we weren't stood in there for too long. The train itself is bright and fresh. As we expected still the same trains and restraints. Still not much leg room for taller people, but it is reasonably comfy. I was in the back row, which is known for being very comfortable on this coaster, but for me, it wasn't too bad. Speakers are still in the trains. It would be good if they had some music playing to suit the rides theme, but nothing too major.- 302 replies

@Ranger that’s VRTP general strategy. Deny deny deny publicly, but send a sneaky message to them and they’ll tell all

Has buzzsaw reopened yet? The website says it reopened a couple days ago, but still lists the dates (which usually means it hasn’t reopened)
