  1. Just been to SW and tried out the app, it was very useful and has some really good features. I know it’s still being tested, but the queue for storm was an hour and the app said 5 minutes. It also wouldn’t let me virtual queue
  2. Yesterday Superman Escape turned 14 and I was wondering for those who have been riding it for as long as it’s been around, what changes have their been to the ride since it originally opened. I know the water effect is hit and miss in recent times and they don’t have the smoke coming out of the pipes anymore, but is there anything else? Are there any changes or improvements to the ride overall you’d like to see?
  3. It is new, but was added when the new promotion began
  4. @Lukevl the IT exterior was removed as soon as FNs finished @Dano46610 they will from Boxing Day until late Jan. December before Christmas isn’t generally a busy period
  5. Disney opened Buzz Lightyear in 1998 and that rides technology is way above JLs which came 14 years later. Not expecting rides to that standard, because Disney, but still
  6. It’s great to see they’ve finally invested into an app that has everything you need. There have been two attempts in the past at an app for the parks and they were pretty useless. I’ve been playing around with the app this morning and it works really well and has an easy UI. My question is, with the virtual queuing, I assume you then join the Fast Track line when it’s your time, but if a heap of people start using this system, won’t that make the Fast Track queue quite long? Or does it have a similar system as the Disney Fast Pass system and you select an available time slot to ride and once you’ve used that Fast Pass you can then create another?
  7. App is already available. And it’s mentioned on the website https://themeparks.com.au/download-app
  8. I love that they also painted the ground and painted the darker blue splash to match the rides logo
  9. Hey @Dano46610 welcome to the wonderful world of the Parkz forums. The theming was removed a month ago because they are extending the queue footprint to allow for more guests to be able to queue inside. They have also removed the seating area next to Jet Rescue and have added more queuing area for that ride too
  10. @xRazzBerryx it will probably just be because of the route all floats and vehicles always go around the fountain anti-clockwise, so they just go down Main Street on the right side
  11. I haven't been to the event this year, but am I right in saying that the floats no longer wait around the fountain and instead just move back up Main Street so there's no dead moments? Great to hear they've finally made some improvements to the parade that hasn't remained the same/gotten worse over the last couple years.
  12. Nearmap update from early October of the park expansion
  13. Nearmap updated on Nov 23 so here is a look at the area with the slides installed and a closer look of the slides
  14. @Brad2912 the question is, are they all re-rideable? Would you happily have a go on one or two of the slides every visit?
  15. I’ve had some videos shared with me and it makes the disco room live up to its name. No smoke, but the amount of lighting effects and lasers makings this part of the ride awesome again. If they had simply added all of this and brought the original props back for the rides refurb it would have definitely been worth it. I highly recommend riding to just see this laser room
  16. I’ve been told that SDSC now has over 60 new lights and led stripes all around the disco room and has 6 different program loops
  17. Does anyone with knowledge about water solids pumps know whether they can simply turn up the pressure of the water to make the slides faster?
  18. @AlexB well that answers all our questions I like how they’ve labelled the slides at the top too and it says how intense they are. Good work DW I think it would have been good to have one of the twisting slides have a higher intensity level too. I’ve heard from some people that they are actually pretty slow. The speed slides pick up some good speed, but the side ones not too much. Still enjoyable, especially with the varying openings and lighting effects, but to add a level of thrill would have been good. At least this makes this attraction rideable for all ages (over 120cm)
