    Can anyone confirm what those metal plates fitted on the footings (in this picture leant against the footing) is for? Is it to hold the screws, steel rods in place while the concrete settles, so they don't move out of place and cause problems when track installation begins?

    Well now Coaster track has started to arrive, maybe we will be able to start to figure it out

    Exciting times. Pink wasn't the colour I was expecting, even though there was pink on the banner advertising the September opening.

    The Buggys have been available for almost a month, and they've only just decided to do a press release now the peak season has ended

    All nights apart from one or two sold out. Personally I thought out of the last 4 years I've been too, 2016 was the least scariest, least favourite of them. However 2015 was my favourite one, so don't know why it dropped off a bit. Don't get me wrong, I still had a great time last year, but felt like it could've been better

    I remember the days of when the vintage cars used to have quite long queues when in the old spot, and how great the circuit was over and under the bridge, around GD. Was always a favourite of everyone's. Was always a shame when they moved them, and we ended up with what it is today. I never understood why they didn't add any form of theming, even some old machinery would've been fine.

    I imagine it would take about 3-4 months for it all to be installed. Generally a coaster can come together pretty quickly once the lift hill and brakes are completed.

    I'm not a die hard fan of Lego either, but I do enjoy building something if I had a set and loved it as a kid, and I don't get the hype of it either, becaue I'm not an enthusiast of it. But i am an enthusiast of them parks, and that's why I had hype for it, becaue it's something new at a theme park, and they did a great job with it.

    That's the thing though, a lot of us haven't been to Dubai or Abu Dhabi and have never seen a Lego store, or die hard Lego fans haven't had a place like this where they can buy it all. And yesterday they were letting you enter the store from inside the park, I think on the weekend because it was so busy and there were queues they couldn't just let people in.

    It was good to see that after putting a downer on the parks, channel 9 did try to show why these are happening and that the rides are very safe. They could've gone into more depth or showed that all these ride stoppages are supposed to happen, but they've probably cut those bits out because of the time constraints for the show

    @AlexB, I went past the store at about 10, and the week before when I'd taken photos of them, they were still on. But I'm not expecting it to run all night either, was just making a comment about it.

    Just been past the store and the LED strip lighting along the roof isn't turned on

    I'd say the repaired it becaue they got rid of the fencing and you can now walk past it
