  1. They made the announcement of DD and the villians area on Feb 23 last year. So I'm thinking that we would see an announcement from the park with more details about the ride around the same.
  2. Just a thought, if the reason for closure was due to it being an in house built ride, and they have already got a sign saying they will be announcing a new ride soon, would they have had to have plans for a new ride in the area for quite some time? Does anyone know generally/estimated how long it would take between a park contacting a manufacturing, to getting approval to install a ride in the future, and then an announcement/work beginning. It's only been a month since the ride closed, so maybe they had already planned to close the ride, or were looking into replacing it at some point, and were already in talks of a new ride. But then I suppose they did have the ride scheduled for maintence for 6 months end of this year. Maybe the DW incident pushed the park to close the ride now, resulting in the plans for a new ride to be pushed forward, even though it won't be opening until 2019.
  3. Someone posted one of these photos inside the ride on MWs FB page saying how shocked by it. Probably wasn't the best idea for that person to do that because MW comment asking them for their private details so the park can contact them. I assume in regards to how they got the photo. Hopefully they doesn't have major consequences on the person that took them.
  4. But 1 Churros Get 1 Free between 10-12 until Jan 15 at DW
  5. I wasn't going to go on the slides. Was just going to checking out the Aqua Racer and Buggy progress. I had no expectations to get on any of the slides, but was on my way home, and passed by so thought I'd pop in, but didn't end up happening.
  6. Was going to spend an hour or so at WnW, but finding a parking space is impossible. The large carpark outside AOS was completely full. Not even a garden bed or grass area left. Even the staff/over flow carpark to the left was completely full. Literally no where to part at midday. So didn't bother. But maybe the park should consider extending their carpark even further.
  7. It is back on their website now. And the first Buggy session you can book for is January 26
  8. Seen an ad for it a couple of times on TV, and FB.
  9. It says that the LEGO Store is opening this Summer?
  10. It now says on the website that the ride is Closed for scheduled maintenance.
  11. The WnWs Buggy have been removed off their website now.
  12. DWs carpark was about a third full at 11 this morning, but plenty of people were still driving in and lining up to enter the park. I do hope they can open the majority of the thrill rides, a part from maybe 1 or 2 within the next couple of weeks. Then we should see the real large crowds return to the park.
  13. Despite the lack of theming, today the ride still managed to get of 2hrs long
  14. Been past MW and the summer crowds have officially arrived, carpark is overflowing. Queues to get off the highway.
  15. Today's update. I could see a number of things through the windows inside the store, and there are three big yellow blocks hanging from the ceiling
  16. I'd hate to see it changed, and highly doubt they would removed the SD theme. I just don't think the ride would be as good, even if it did have the same layout, if it didn't revolve around SD. It makes it family friendly, a show that most people would've loved as a kid (I certainly did). I just see this as a bump in the road that they were only just aware of the scale of the issue, but most certainly will return it to its former glory, maybe even better. And I can't blame them for opening it, yes the ride is a bit of a mess inside, and doesn't provide the same experience, but it had to be done, and if they kept the ride closed, there would've been a lot of complaints, and the queues for other rides would've been even crazier. Now that they have addressed it with the sign out the front, it shouldn't be as a major of issue.
  17. But remember there are noise restrictions in that area, so they wouldn't be able to stay open past 9pm (Can't entirely remember want thto restrictions were so someone correct me if I'm wrong)
  18. They don't allow cameras on any of their rides, whether or not you can take loose items onto the ride. Without special permission from the park, nothing can be photographed or filmed.
  19. From Tuesday the 27th of December 2016 – Wednesday the 11th of January 2017, enjoy selected slides from 9am, with all slides and attractions opening at 9.30am. Plus, you can splash on into the evening until 6:30pm. I don't know why they wouldn't open with those hours for even longer, until around Australia Day. The whole month the park is crazy busy, so why not take advantage of it.
