  1. New shading is finished in Shark Bay And don't know if these are new or have never noticed them, but shade sails have been installed over the outside queue area for Strom
  2. Slide completely installed now, workmen working on and underneath slide, looking like they were working on the pumps. New billboard and checkered flags too. Single LED displays have been installed at the base of the slide over each lane too. And there are new black mats for the slide
  3. Work was occurs on the HWSW, with a workmen inspecting the loop. The GD gondolas were also being tested with them moving up/down very slowly
  4. They did say that they were planning to have it open by Christmas. But I haven't been to the park in a week and a half, so don't know how close they are to finishing it, but I agree with @Santa07 and say it would probably be ready by NY or not long afterwards
  5. ^Yeah to my knowledge that is what they did. But I did never see any scaffolding, so maybe they used a scissor-lift or were able to do most of it from the stairs.
  6. And it was leaking quite a lot under neath, the stairs were a bit dodgy in places, the slide was faded, and the position signs didn't work most of the time. So this refurbishment was definitely needed. I don't think there was anything wrong with the slide structurly, hence why it wasn't replaced, and instead the paint work was taken off (that also enabled them to check over it and replace any of it if needed).
  7. i still think the pathway that leads from GL, BW and JL will be used. That was is very unutilised last JL enterance, and it would make perfect sense to have it go from there. Going from SE and AA would cause to many issues with crowds, the queue that people wait in to go to those rides before 10, is already long enough at times, adding a 3rd coaster enterance from here would make it even more rediculous
  8. The scaffolding has begun its construction for the night show at DW (Photo: TPSN)
  9. The slide pieces are starting to be installed this morning (Photo: TPSN)
  10. Oh wow, I didn't expect that. Well hopefully it's just as good as it was at MW.
  11. The maintence page has just been updated and is now reopening Boxing Day
  12. Awesome to have something more official made by the park itself. I'm thinking late Jan, early Feb is when we start to see the track being installed.
  13. Someone explained to me that they believed it was removed due to issues during testing, with people's back being sore due to their not being enough of a drop, so when they fell through the trap door and hit the turn of the slide, their backs would hit the slide. Don't know if that was right and related to the slide not operating, or if it was related to technical difficulties.
  14. No, you must've dreamt it. A picture of the map has been uploaded onto here, but their website never hasn't.
  15. It definitely isn't open @ClassifiedLlama, just been past the park. And yes @Intimidator305., but that base of the slide has been in place for weeks, and that work happening around the base of the slide, has been happening for about a week and they have joined some of the pieces together, so they can just be lifted into place. When I've said nothing is in place, I was just referring to the main section of the slide hasn't been installed in position of the framework.
  16. I imagine that TailSpin would be the next to open, followed by the remaining Ocean Parade rides, and then GD/TOT would be next and BuzzSaw last.
  17. It definitely isn't opening tomorrow, as there are no pieces of slide in place, unless there is a miracle and they install and test it over night.
  18. Was like that on Wednesday, didn't wait any more than 15 minutes. And loading and unloading of all rides was very sufficient. But this is normal for this time of year. It isn't until Boxing Day and onwards that the parks are crazy.
  19. No slide has been installed, so that date will definitely be extended. Did notice that flags had been installed on the roof at the top of the slide
