  1. ^Triple Vortex only has 3 small ones and none of them are enclosed.
  2. Slide pieces are beginning to be preoattef for installation, with a crane on site and workmen joining pieces together. The red pieces will be at the top of the slide, and the rest will be yellow and blue
  3. Here's some photos of footers from today (approximately 210 of them), with soil layed now and some work still happening towards AA. And the footer in the carpark is complete
  4. Christmas decorations have been installed out the front, new sign and don't know if it's me, but it seems the road lines have been repainted too. And there were also a couple of guys on the gondolas of the GD at the top of the tower.
  5. Today's update. From what I've seen today, it does give me confidence that it could be ready in time for Christmas
  6. DW have now updated their FB profile picture and have removed the 'Happiness' banner.
  7. You say that, but LEGO had contracted with DW in the first half of the year, so I can't see the incident affecting anything like that.
  8. I think a DW tower Lego model in the middle of the store would be pretty cool.
  9. Yeah I'm pretty sure, if I remember correctly, in the press release they said there would be LEGO display/models
  10. Yeah there's shipping containers have been there for months and months now. I could be wrong, but I'm fairly sure they are the same ones that have been there since the construction of Nickelodeon Land last year.
  11. Universal Studios Japan did that really well for their Jurrasic Park area. Tonnes and tonnes of plants, and did a really good job of hiding the rest of the park once in the area.
  12. Sharon bay is getting more shelter installed (Photo: TPSN)
  13. The media are never bored of any storey, providing they can get any information, right or wrong about it. Everytime a statement has been made by the CEO or Ardient Lesiure, the media have covered it, and have at times been pushing for answers which are obvious they wouldn't respond to as of yet, or don't have an answer for because they themselves don't know. I saw one reporter ask if the park was safe. I just think that was a stupid question, because of course it is, otherwise they wouldn't reopen. And they are taking all the procortions they can to ensure the safety of all rides. The incident that occurred could never have been predicted, and if there were any known issues with the ride they would've closed it, and inspected it further.
  14. These photos were shared by AusParks, but taken by someone else (who's name I won't share just in case they don't want it to be on here)
  15. Tickets are currently discounted too. And I too think it's good that they are slowly opening rides and not rushing into it all
  16. Have come across this page on DWs website explaining what will be open and on once the park reopens (I know some of this info has already been mentioned, but just adding it again for a complete summary): https://www.dreamworld.com.au/park-info/whats-open In summary, every ride at DW will be closed, but the ABC KIDS WORLD Fun Spot, Bananas In Pyjamas Fun Maze, Giggle and Hoot Pirate Ship and Play School Art Room will be open. All slides at WWW are open. So in total between the 2 parks there will be 12 rides open, 6 attractions (All wildlife, stores, dreamworks, ABC Kids world and Motorsport will be open). There will be 8 shows to see throughout the day, most being on the stage beside Cave of Waves, but the usual animal presentations and character appearances will occur. It also says on this page that the parks are open 9am until 5:30pm. It does say that the page is a summary of each ride and attractions status for each day’s opening. Please continue to check back to this page for updates. So we might see a couple of DWs rides open next weekend, as their multi-tiered safety audit are completed, but this from what Craig said in an interview a couple of days ago, they aren't in a rush to get the rides open, and they will reopen once the audit is thoroughly completed. So there may still be some rides closed during the summer crowds.
  17. Enjoy your trip. With transport it depends on where you are staying, and how far away a bus stop is and how regular it is, or if you have do a couple of transfer. Most of them are hourly and start pretty early, well before the parks open usually, but if that doesn't work well for you then definitely recommend getting an uber.
  18. I don't think we will see a memorial appear until after the summer holidays. Not being disrespectful to the victims or their families, as I think a memorial is essential, but they need to spend time figuring it out to get it right. I think DW need to focus on getting the park up and fully running so its ready for the big rush and then afterwards put their focus to other things like the memorial, removal of river rapids, etc.
  19. Single day entry tickets are also now cheaper for th summer, with children tickets $55 and adult tickets $65. And you can now no longer purchase a WWW single day entry ticket
  20. Going through the DWs maintenance page and there quite a few rides that say closed: BuzzSaw, hot wheels, MDMC, Train, escape from Madagascar, gingys flyer, mad jungle jam, RHLR, shock wave, dodgems, vintage cars, big red boat ride, tea cups, dronkys flyers, hop and hoot and the merry go round. Will be interesting to see if the maintenance page is updated for the park reopens, as that is quite a few rides, some I can't imagine why they'd remain close. Will interesting to see that it says GD, and TOT are open.
  21. I think $25 is a good amount to donate from tickets, especially after the big loss financially this has had on the park. The original plan of donating all entry money was good at the time because the park was only closed for a couple of days, but now they have good reason to I think. The park didn't have to give anything so good on them for donating.
