  1. Or maybe moved them, because when I last visited I did see the bent steel on the other side of the control room, and they were installing the straight steel (as seen in your photos).
  2. Yeah I think your right about Billabong, and I'd forgotten about that cafe in ABC. So basically, unless Kai Kai gets one, there aren't any more refurbishments of Cafes happening.
  3. Well so far they refurbished/introduced: Grid Burgers, Grern Bean, Ice Cream Parlour, Dough Bros, Sandwich Shop, Churros stand, they've moved the hot dog stand and they are constructing a new cafe in Tiger Island. So they haven't refurbished Kai Kai cafe and Billabong Restraunt. Which I think are fine, so I don't think any more are getting refurbished.
  4. I agree, but in the past year, I think DW is winning now.
  5. The rides I always hold on for are Arkham Asylum, the launch of Superman, JetRescue and the launch of TOT2. Green Lantern is one of my favourites to not hold on with and so is Superman Escape (after the launch). Scooby-Doo I find for the drops I do because there can be quite a jolt at times.
  6. TailSpin has storage shelving in front of control booth, and GB has storage boxes on the wall.
  7. So is this a walk through attraction with scare actors, or do you sit in a car and it moves around with animatronics?
  8. ^When I went to the park a couple of weeks ago those tables and chairs are there, but as you said I think they are the ones from the plaza area, and are making use of them while it's the peak period. I'd say after the holidays they will dissapear.
  9. I don't think they need to move the area, and they wouldn't, because of the costs of doing that. But I think having a show would be great in the area. I do think they could move the wall back where the Marvin ride was, and install a similar stage and seating setup to the Dora show at SW.
  10. I don't think MW staff would be installations the ride, I'm sure they'd hire contractors for that. I'd say Intamin would be in charge of the ride installation but the surrounding area would be done by the park.
  11. ^From the photos you've posted it looks like it must be be on the left side of the mountain.
  12. Just popped into SW, and wow it was busy, and trying to move around proved to be a little difficult, especially when shows finish. The path under the stone bridge was very difficult to get though, especially with those metal railings. Thank god the bridge at the front of the park is open Quite a lot of seating and tables has been added around the edges of COTD, mainly around the whales. And here's a quick update on the plaza area:
  13. @The_Ninja_59 could also try and see what the crane is doing in the WWF area.
  14. Need work happening today. And also, I don't know if I've just never noticed this, or if it's been recently done, but I noticed that china town alley was clear, and there were only those red poles left, and I could see down to the AA courtyard area.
  15. I think SW does need a rollercoaster, and we think MW is getting one next year. I do agree that DW does need a major new coaster though.
  16. ^Have you been on one of these before? Because if you haven't, you can't judge until you have. I think it's a great addition to the park, and they needed a flat ride with high capacity, and this is it.
  17. Here that part of the article explaining this: Production crew members have been going hammer and tongs for the past few months to get the film’s epic array of props, costumes and sets, said to include several spaceships, ready for July 4. The State Government helped fund the new $16 million 4000sq m Sound Stage 9 on the Oxenford studio lot, with construction fast-tracked to ensure it was ready in time for Thor. While a large share of the film will be shot on giant indoor sets, the shoot will also visit various locations around the region. As this first look at one of the gothic-inspired sets being built on the studio lot shows, Marvel is being treated to more of the marvellous craftsmanship local crews delivered Disney for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. While Dead Men Tell No Tales shared the Oxenford lot with the cast and crew of Netflix TV series Mako Mermaids, Thor: Ragnarok will have exclusive use of all of the complex’s nine sound stages. http://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au/entertainment/its-a-marvel-in-the-making-as-thor-ragnaroks-majestical-universe-rises-on-gold-coast/news-story/dee9d716dfbfdc1e89f472edb04ecaa2
  18. And if it was attached to MW, it wouldn't be the best decision in my opinion. "Come on kids, let's go to Movie World and play golf". Not something I'd hear people say. I think this is a great idea, and will really add to the area, and will definitely be something I'd try. I love a game of mini golf, and for the first time a few months ago I went and played golf, and I surprisingly really enjoyed it. So I think, much like bowling, it will be somewhere you can go, challenge your mates, have a drink and something to eat and have a good time. Money well spent I think. And with a hotel to come, it will really bring the whole area together.
  19. I don't think it is. I think it's a seperate thing, that as said, is just next to the park. And as its a part of the VRTP, MW were the ones to announce it as they get more attention on social media. I'd say like all golf courses, you can bring or hire clubs.
  20. I remember them saying that about Nickelodeon Land, but that didn't happen. But I suppose they were really pushing hard to get it open due to delays, so that's probably why that didn't happen. But for DD they seem on track.
