  1. Thanks TPG. This ring in my opinion is definitely going to add that extra touch to the ride. After seeing the ring on other versions of the ride, I thought it was going to be pointless for DD, but now I'm happy they are putting it in. The shop is looking really good now, particularly with the windows now in, and I love the effect they've added with brick crumbling away at the front. And with those small slabs at the exit of the ride, do people think maybe they will add a couple of figures of the super Villian's? Maybe that pipe will provide a water effect, or a light or movement element to the character?
  2. I think that way would be unfair. Having people walk up to the enterance, ready to ride, and a staff member says, sorry you can't ride it because you don't have this pass. If they did the way I said by letting them into the park early, then when the park opens at 10, the ride can be open to the public. And just do this during its soft opening.
  3. http://www.goldcoastbulletin.com.au/lifestyle/new-roller-coaster-hotel-and-lakeside-attraction-planned-for-movie-world/news-story/9e19ae24ce65872c5898781504b833fa I'm fairly sure this has been posted on here before, but can't remember, so thought I'd post just in case. I'm assuming that carpark fronting the road is that small gravel section just to the right of the road leading to AOS. So my thoughts now are that the TopGolf will go alongside the entrance road to MW, the hotel to the left at the front. And the coaster in the swap area.
  4. ^Yeah, I didn't think it would be anything major, maybe they've put it there to let the dead grass grow a little.
  5. Some fencing has appeared out the front of MW (Photo: TPSN):
  6. I think MW is a really good park, but for a day trip or to go somewhere with family/friends I'd choose DW. Especially if they are visiting from overseas. DW is much more of a full round package.
  7. Nickelodeon Land did have delays during construction and the GL were complaining it wasn't open in time for the beginning of holidays, so they didn't delay its opening even more. I wonder how they'd go about only allowing Premier & Elite members to experience the area first. Could it just mean that they let these pass holders into the park early, and they have access to Villains Unleashed area?
  8. Do people think or know whether they will have costumed characters making appearances in this area? I imagine if they are they would be the three characters we've seen on the ad, as well as the joker and harley quinn. Update from TPSN:
  9. The ring would come in two parts, and they just use the crane to move them into place and then connect them.
  10. Roof is nearly complete, with facades really starting to come together. Vegetation is also now being up in place. And the Humpback and been moved from the usual spot:
  11. Basically a Surfrider on steroids. I'm alright with some spinning rides. Wipeout, Tailspin, Surfrider, shockwave and even reef diver I'm fine with. But the Claw and Pandemonium HS I can't do. Done them both once, and felt really sick after them. Not sure how I'll go with DD, but I'll give it a try.
  12. Maybe it is going near that shed behind WWF, and will be used for FN and any other events held there.
  13. Times have changed since the motor coaster, from what they've been doing the past couple of years, I have faith they'll do a good job with it.
  14. It's been a couple of weeks since I last went to MW, and progress on SE is coming along quickly. Can't believe how much the ride had faded.
  15. Today's update. The Windows on the rear facades have all been filled in. Not 100% convinced by that smokey grey look they've got, but maybe something will light up behind it to make it more interesting. The gap between the facades and the SDSC exit has been covered.
  16. Yeah the height requirement for Pandemonium, regardless of whether you ride the hard or soft style, is 120cm.
  17. I agree @Wyncenuros, I think H-M-H-S would probably be the best way to go. But this wouldn't always work if the queues for the M or S weren't overly long. If that's the case, they may decide to do a couple of H runs, and then a M and S. I think this will take some time to figure out, but during the peak periods I think it would be much easier to do. Maybe in the quiet periods they may close the M queue and just run the H and S.
  18. Despite 3 styles available for the ride to be operated in, I wasn't expecting MW to use 3, but I would've expected 2. But I suppose 3 does widen the audience, as it allows a wide range of people to ride it depending on how thrilling they want it to be. Obviously the full 360 version would be most popular. Hopefully having 3 cycles doesn't majorly affect the lengths of the queue, particularly for the 360 cycle. As did Pandamonium does, this will at least provide a ride experience for kids and adults.
  19. $800,000 refurbishment for WWF ? Wow, can't wait to see what they've done it to.
