  1. The theme park place posted this photo on their park update of a mine cart on the maintenance run. They state that others were seen being loaded onto the main line.
  2. ^They just said that the old sea viper location is getting some attention.
  3. The island is quite a large area of land so I good attraction could be built on. Maybe DW have plans for it, but something should be done with it.
  4. ^I agree. That land should be done with that land and I think that a tree house/fortress (Something similar to the one at Sea World) would be perfect. A place surrounded by the lake where you could have a picnic and let your kids run free on it.
  5. Someone asked DW on their FB about taking GoPros on rides and it turns out that you are allowed to, but there are limitations.
  6. I just found these reviews of the ride, which I find explain why the ride was so good. (Review link: http://coaster-ratings.blogspot.com.au/2012/12/eureka-mountain-mine-ride-dreamworld.html)
  7. I was one of those who never got the chance to ride it. I've been told about the basics of the ride and what happened, but what made it such an awesome ride. Was it because of the themeing and experience you had when riding, being able to be in a mine cart and zooming around a mine, with TNT about to go off, etc?
  8. When I first read it, I was thinking BIG could refer to a new thrill ride, since they are the Big9 Thrill Rides. Where did read about Tiger Islane getting a refurb, because they only said they have special celebrations for the 20th anniversary? Still early days, Movie World may have something planned.
  9. ^I agree. I'm not expecting the Mine ride to open (if it is going to) this year. Maybe next year. Regarding the Tiger Island Anniversary, I wonder if that relates to the rumours from late last year/earlier this year about it getting an upgrade/makeover. It would be good if there was a new attraction for DW and one for WWW.
  10. DW have just posted on their FB page that this year there will be special celebrations for Tiger Island’s 20th Anniversary, PLUS 2 NEW BIG attractions this year.
  11. Can confirm that Creatures of the Deep is going where Dinosaur Island was (Photo source: The Theme Park Social Network)
  12. ^What you say about DW doing this to get people talking could be true. It could be their way of giving us a teaser. I would say that they couldn't open the ride in its current state. They would have to put a new track in, update the control system and fix up the cave.
  13. Maybe they are cleaning the inside of it out, for work to begin. Or we are overthinking all of this.
  14. ^They did. But there is always the possibility of replacing all the track, queue system and cave mould around the outside of the ride. It would be costly, but there is always the possibility.
  15. If they were going to link it to the current kids area they could build something on the reclaimed that is closet to the current kids area. But I do think that the SV land would also be a good area, providing there are enough attractions in that area. I do remember seeing a press release interview with one of the staff members from SW about the TMNT. He did say that there would more attractions coming themed around the TMNT. There could be a possibility that the SV land could be a new area with rides themed around Nickelodeon. The current kids area could be something for younger kids (1-5), and then the new area could be targeted for older kids (6-10) (Ages are just a rough estimate).
  16. That's good news. It has been a while since a kids ride was installed and a kids roller coaster is even better.
  17. I think it would be alright if DW just once evey week or two went around the edge of the lake and tries to get some rubbish out. Regarding the algae, all DW would have to do is install a paddle wheel in a couple of places around the lake and that would keep it cleaner looking.
  18. No, it was just a general comment. I am just saying I like a ride to make me feel like I'm somewhere else. WWF does it, SE does it, AA does it. A lot of rides do it. I'm not saying that everything else has to be hidden. When on WWF as you come to the water container that gets shot and water comes out, you sometimes see a float.
  19. It's not a major thing, it's just when riding the WWF and you have the western theming and then there is suddenly this float which doesn't fit. It doesn't effect how much I love the ride, but like at DW where there were mushrooms on the Rocky Hollow ride. It just effects the themeing and feel of the ride. When I'm a ride, if the theming is good, I want to feel like I've been transported to somewhere else, not a theme park. WWF does that for me, until I see the floats.
  20. In my opinion I don't think DW will remove the cyclone any time soon. In the mean time it just needs some TLC. Unless they built another coaster in another location, I can't see them removing it. The cyclone track fits perfectly around WWW, so unless they just remove it, then they won't replace it with another coaster in that same location.
  21. I would say that it is floats. I've seen them a few times behind the fencing of the Western area of WWF. You don't alwyas see them, but I personally would like them to raise the height of the fence, so that we can't see them.
  22. ^According to the Dreamworld website its 12pm-4pm. It is one of the more popular rides in the park so it seems really stupid to only have to open for 4 hours. I personally think that if they aren't going to open all the rides when the park opens then it should be within the first hour.
