  1. Great to see they aren’t holding off with the removal of TOT2. While they aren’t removing the ride until early next year, removing the signage now is a good start. I’m thinking the log rides days are over. With it being left like that with no obvious work being done and it’s extensive maintenance period, I can’t see it reopening. The ride was built in house, like river rapids were, so I can understand why they might want to close it (especially after their dodge job with the roof)
  2. Here’s a photo of the sign from a couple months ago for comparison Im surprised they didn’t just replace it entire since their logo doesn’t feature the dogs or shield anymore. Still very glad they’ve refurbed it
  3. It AA were to be replaced, a dwelling coaster would be awesome. Maybe they could call it DC Rivals.... oh wait.
  4. Warner Bros. have just updated their logo to a more modern and simple design The recognisable logo on the left was introduced in 1984 and is part of Movie World’s logo. I’m sure it won’t happen, but curious on people’s thoughts. The park isn’t owned by the company, but is connected to it in many ways. And it would be expensive for VRTP, but could they be forced to do so to keep the licensing with WB. Could we see MW update their logo to match WB logo change in the near future?
  5. Well I do like the refurbishment on the building, horrible name. I can understand the name change since the building doesn’t look anything like it originally did, but I’m not a fan. ‘Banana Bender’ does mean someone from Queensland, so i guess it makes sense
  6. I checked out the new exhibit this morning and think it’s a great addition to the park. Nice theming at the entry/queue area for the attraction It’s great to be able to get up close to the costumes and I like they got mannequins to match the actor/actress who player each character. It is a shame they don’t have more set pieces, but I assume these either no longer exist or they didn’t have access to them as they weren’t filmed at the studios next door
  7. Just a quick MW update More work is happening on the Gotham City Hall The interactive element for Croc isn’t working The dodgems are definitely no more, but the arcade is still open And they have added a tv above the entrance gates, which is a good idea in theory, but you can’t see anything on it because of the glare. They are also advertising in park offers through the speakers at the entrance too
  8. Wow I didn’t even recognise the Little Rippers and great to see they are repainting the sign. They have actually slightly changed the colour scheme too (Maybe they had some leftover paint from the rip. I would love to see them refresh the entire front entrance to the park. It has been used for some time now, instead the guest services entrance has been used, but with them bringing back a seperate entry ticket for WWW, I assume they will be using these ticket booths once again. A repaint and pressure washing the ground should bring it back to its original quality
  9. Looks like we will have a night time show at DW/WWW this Summer (which we saw them practising last Summer in Cave of Waves) And I’ve heard a rumour that Cosentino might be returning with a new show too
  10. Once Fully 6 opens I think WWW will be the better choice and if they get a lazy river and one more tower with a thrill slide, they will become the superior water park. I’d say that WnW will get a new attraction/a before WWW make their next investment
  11. This latest concept art for the coaster shown at the AGM reveals a few minor details about the area around the ride The coasters entrance/exit will be accessed from the path that leads towards the old Big Brother photo building (or whatever it was used for). I wonder if that building will be demolished? The path to the BuzzSaw will have a viewing platform on it and will still be a dead end within the park I know this is only concept art, but I do hope they theme the station building to match the BuzzSaw’s (if they are wanting to keep the theme for this area of the park). I was also hoping for a pathway to link BS and GD (like there used to be) to allow for better flow through this area of the park. Obviously some form of netting or roof would be needed over the path for safety reasons.
  12. @AlexB continuing on from what we discussed, it doesn’t seem like there will be any switch backs at the top because it looks quite small and it looks like there would only be enough room on the stairs to split it in half.
  13. 12pm Update. 4 slides now complete, 3 more pieces to go for the blue slide, and then the rest of the pieces for the 6th and final slide
  14. It will be interesting to see what they price it at, how it competes with WNW, whether or not DWs price lowers and if they’ll offer a single/multi day entry ticket for both parks
  15. I would say so @AlexB and they probably wanted the store and it’s theming to be the front focus for the area and then for guests to become immersed into the precinct before entering the rides queue. I agree that this attraction definitely has one of the best themed entrances of any other ride on the GC. Arkham or Storm would probably be second. I don’t like it when they decide to close off those main entry gates and it ‘forces’ you to walk through the store. This gates should both always be left open.
