  1. Maybe it was a new train, so the wheels haven’t worn in yet, hence the stoppage
  2. At least they’ve gone to the effort of have detailed signage and prints rather than an A frame or something printed and laminated
  3. If DW closed forever it would certainly be devastating, and I’m sure a lot of people agree. Right now the money just needs to be spent the right way to bring what they currently up to a good enough standard and manage it well so the rides are capable of operating. Maintenance is required, but not having all rides operating consistently in peak periods, and managing the down time across the year so a tonne of stuff isn’t closed at once. And refreshing anything that needs it, even if it is just a coat of paint, they just need to show care, promote what they have, and be smarter with all their decisions
  4. If SV is opening in the 2H19, does that mean its opening some time in the next 3-4 months?
  5. I’d say it’s not killed off, just on hold/they are going to try and lower the cost of the attraction. If I were them, I’d remove any animal aspects of the ride they were going to be include, and just purely create a lazy river, with a possible rapids section or route on the course. Make it feel like a tropical get away, and add immersive theming and facilities
  6. The new Batman at MW is looking great 😂 (Photo TPSN)
  7. Honesty/Communications has probably been the biggest issue over the years. There are always the generic responses that don’t actually help the situation. Especially when it comes to extended maintenance or issues. Hiding this stuff makes it feel untrustworthy. And I’m sure the general public would appreciate knowing this info too
  8. DW need to work on the smaller details to bring back the magic the park once had VRTP needs to work on its staff, the majority are either rude or don’t care. I understand it isn’t always the most exciting job or best working conditions, but theme parks are designed for happiness, memories, entertainment and fun, and when you have a poor interaction with a staff member, it really brings the experience down
  9. If they had kept what was originally there and added projection mapping to that, the ride would’ve been a major improvement
  10. Someone might know the real reasoning, but I’d say that for the photos, either they broke or the cost to have the photo store open was higher than what that store was making, so they just closed it and didn’t bother with it When the ride went under extensive maintenance soon after the incident, I would say they just removed it either for safety or maintenance access reasons (No real idea, just putting thoughts out there)
  11. I think @wikiverse review is very true about the ride, just what makes it disappointing for me is there are aspects where they don’t seem like they cared. As you make your way up to the elevator, if you look at the demons heads that are smashing through the walls, you can clearly see the pole holding them in place, there was no effort at all to hide them, and because of the lighting inside, it makes it more obvious. And the lighting throughout the ride is just off, not being able to see the track in the original version made the ride surprising and fun, now you can see it throughout the whole ride. All the screens mean you can see the buildings structure, wiring, and parts that aren’t themed. If you are going to have lighting like this, the ride needs to be perfect in every way, so that you don’t notice things like this
  12. Four people died, but 6 people were on the raft. The other 2 people managed to jump out before the raft flipped
  13. There is a ride photo stand located on the ground, either side of the tour. They were/are fitted into what I would describe as a lifeguard seat (similar to what they have at WWW/WnW wave pools). And it would take the photo just as you hit the brakes. There is a photo booth to your left as you exit the ride and make your way down the exit ramp. A couple of years ago they installed a metal bar attached to the top of the gondolas, and there were 3 cameras installed along the bar, with would record your whole ride experience. I think this was removed soon after the incident
  14. I think by projection, he means the big screens with the animations on, not projection mapping
  15. That’s purely to stop the dirt from running down the hill in the rain, not overly interesting
  16. Just wait for the news channels to take this out of context and create a breaking news headline
  17. ^I have done a few of them and despite being quite old attractions, I did thoroughly enjoy them and they did still feel relevant today. I would be very happy to see an attraction of that style come to MW
  18. Contacted the park a few days ago and they said it will be opening in the coming weeks. So still the same response as there has been for over a month
  19. Autumn is still a couple weeks away, they’ve got time
  20. I'd say repeat business means the Hot Wheels is staying, especially since the rides name and theming are still out the front
  21. I would say that they had to reconstruct/replace parts of the train, or it could be a new train, and as the profile that posted that are 'aesthetic signs' they are now reapplying the wrap of Hot Wheels.
  22. Am I cootect in saying that pre ride movie area doesn’t have any purpose today, as the queue is all to the right of that area for AA?
