Tickets are currently discounted too. And I too think it's good that they are slowly opening rides and not rushing into it all -
Dreamworld reopening - the summer season

Have come across this page on DWs website explaining what will be open and on once the park reopens (I know some of this info has already been mentioned, but just adding it again for a complete summary): https://www.dreamworld.com.au/park-info/whats-open In summary, every ride at DW will be closed, but the ABC KIDS WORLD Fun Spot, Bananas In Pyjamas Fun Maze, Giggle and Hoot Pirate Ship and Play School Art Room will be open. All slides at WWW are open. So in total between the 2 parks there will be 12 rides open, 6 attractions (All wildlife, stores, dreamworks, ABC Kids world and Motorsport will be open). There will be 8 shows to see throughout the day, most being on the stage beside Cave of Waves, but the usual animal presentations and character appearances will occur. It also says on this page that the parks are open 9am until 5:30pm. It does say that the page is a summary of each ride and attractions status for each day’s opening. Please continue to check back to this page for updates. So we might see a couple of DWs rides open next weekend, as their multi-tiered safety audit are completed, but this from what Craig said in an interview a couple of days ago, they aren't in a rush to get the rides open, and they will reopen once the audit is thoroughly completed. So there may still be some rides closed during the summer crowds. -
Enjoy your trip. With transport it depends on where you are staying, and how far away a bus stop is and how regular it is, or if you have do a couple of transfer. Most of them are hourly and start pretty early, well before the parks open usually, but if that doesn't work well for you then definitely recommend getting an uber.

Dreamworld Memorial & Reopening discussion
themagician replied to JaggedJanine's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I don't think we will see a memorial appear until after the summer holidays. Not being disrespectful to the victims or their families, as I think a memorial is essential, but they need to spend time figuring it out to get it right. I think DW need to focus on getting the park up and fully running so its ready for the big rush and then afterwards put their focus to other things like the memorial, removal of river rapids, etc. -

Going through the DWs maintenance page and there quite a few rides that say closed: BuzzSaw, hot wheels, MDMC, Train, escape from Madagascar, gingys flyer, mad jungle jam, RHLR, shock wave, dodgems, vintage cars, big red boat ride, tea cups, dronkys flyers, hop and hoot and the merry go round. Will be interesting to see if the maintenance page is updated for the park reopens, as that is quite a few rides, some I can't imagine why they'd remain close. Will interesting to see that it says GD, and TOT are open. -

I think $25 is a good amount to donate from tickets, especially after the big loss financially this has had on the park. The original plan of donating all entry money was good at the time because the park was only closed for a couple of days, but now they have good reason to I think. The park didn't have to give anything so good on them for donating. -
All decorations are complete, and can't remember if these have been used in previous years, but there are a number of acrobatic rings down Main Street:

Repaint of the courtyard is nearly complete Heres a look at the spear on the arms of DD And don't know if this is new or just haven't noticed it before but there is an electronic queue line wait time on the rides information board: And the AA courtyard area is getting repainted:

Update around GL and the footer in the carpark. Also most of the footings seem to be completed out the front of the park as fresh soil is being poured around them. (Once again, I take a picture the right way but uploads upside down) -
TPSN posted this last Thursday, maybe this could have something to do with it: And DDs maintenance has been extended for the fourth time, and is now reopening December 12th.

Even if the painting over the logo wasn't for us, everyone can still see the 'product of Mack Rides' written on them. And the coaster isnt causing any direct issues to residents anyways, as it isn't connected to their land.- 499 replies

MDMC is just faster at launch (72km/h), but becomes much slower as the ride goes on, and as you say is much higher up. While JR launches at 65km/h and is much lower to the ground, with the second launch boosting it to 70km/h, and its tight and quick turns makes it a much more enjoyable ride.

I'd call MDMC family thrill, and JR thrill. Even DW themselves class MDMC as a moderate ride on their park map.

And someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure I read that the issue with the safety harnesses for maintenance stuff is they were old and not the current harness system required. -

Improvement notices are: • Green Room Waterslide – the “Emergency Stop” button’s colour is faded and the label contains the manufacturer’s ride name not WhiteWater World’s name. WhiteWater World is installing new buttons and labelling. • WhiteWater World is required to submit a Chemical Register to notify WHSQ of storage of hazardous chemicals. WhiteWater World is filing this notification. • The Flowrider ride requires an updated chemical log book. Dreamworld is updating. • Staff working on the Flowrider are required to use upgraded Personal Protective Equipment (respiratory masks) when adding pool chemicals and should be trained in how to use the new masks. Dreamworld has purchased new masks and staff training on mask handling, storage and use has commenced. • A Flowrider plastic mat connection contained a sharp edge and was a potential scratch hazard. Dreamworld has repaired this. • Dreamworld requires durable tags for all electrical equipment/tools (‘tag and test’ tags). Dreamworld is ‘tagging and testing’ all outstanding equipment. • A maintenance staff member working on the Escape from Madagascar ride did not comply with ‘Work at Heights’ requirements. Dreamworld will undertake ‘Work at Heights’ training. Prohibition notices are: • WHSQ raised a concern with maintenance safety harness anchor points on the BuzzSaw. Dreamworld is undertaking independent certification to ensure the ride manufacturer’s anchor systems comply with Australian standards. • WHSQ identified a staff maintenance procedure error relating to a maintenance safety chain on the BuzzSaw. Dreamworld has revised the maintenance procedure and re-training has commenced. A secondary system will also be installed. • The BuzzSaw requires an additional inter-lock gate for the operator’s control booth to restrict operator access to the ride platform during ride operation. The new operator booth gate has been installed and will be subject to WHSQ approval. -
