  1. ^Yeah, I misread it, thinking it was just a new attraction was being added to the current water park.
  2. SWs maintenance page Please note that the Water Park including the Plunge Waterslide is officially closed, following plans of an exciting new attraction to feature in this area of the resort.
  3. Add a water park? It already has one, which they are apparently are adding a new attraction too. Doubling the car park size would be good for the peak periods, as that grassed space fills up pretty quickly too. In regards to becoming the biggest Australian theme park, they aren't actually much smaller than DW when measuring on near maps. DW is approximately 18ha (and that's just the park itself, not including WWW, the carpark or any additional land they own), while SW is approximately 16.4ha (not including the resort or carpark). But they only way they could make it the biggest park is by either expanding the park into the Broadwater, which would be insanely costly and very unlikely due to councils restrictions, or expanding it east into the bushlands area, which I was under the impression was a protected area. So I don't know how they'll do it, but good luck.
  4. I think that would be a much better location than the area on Main Street they had it last year.
  5. ^Well if they are filming the commercial next week, the area will probably only need finishing touches after that. So I'd imagine at the beginning of the school holidays.
  6. Thanks TPG. By the looks of those reo bars, the foots are going to be quite big, meaning that the thickness/height of steel for the coaster should be pretty impressive.
  7. ^That and finishing off the shop, and if there are interactive elements with the facades they may still need to be installed. I'm interested to see whats going to go on those posts on the top of the shop and above the rides sign.
  8. Today's update: And the humpback whale hasn't been out back in place yet:
  9. The land clearing along the enetrance road to MW is complete, and has moved closer to AOS. It also appears that reinforcing for concrete footings have arrived on site (Photos TPSN)
  10. The exposed steel struxture of the ring is being covered up now (Photo TPSN)
  11. Something I noticed on my visit to DW this morning was that the cameras that were attached to gondolas on GD have been removed. Does anyone know when that happened?
  12. More vegetation clearing is occurring, and those black fence posts have begun to be installed at the back of the area. This makes me really think that this will be the area for the coaster (Sorry about quality, was just taken on my phone)
  13. So I finally took my camera (I did take some of the wider shots on my phone) to the park today and took some close up photos of the area. Some more character figures have appeared in place. The second control booth is starting to get painted. The brick wall either side of the enetnrace gate is getting rendered. A large window has been installed for the shop. And theming on the far back corner is being completed.
  14. ^Yeah it was announced when the date were released that Gothic Hall would be returning, but they did announce that there would be 3 new precincts. And now there are only 2.
  15. ^Yeah I agree, despite Cub Kindy making great use of the space and they did a great job with putting it together, but once TI reopens I hope they remove it and don't use it for future Cubs. It'll be strange to have two seperate tiger areas, and the artists impression drawings for the new Cubs area looked great, so I hope they build it at some point.
  16. In regards to the tiger cub enclosure. I'd say it is planned, but they won't start construction for it until it's required.
  17. TPG had also posted a picture on her page of a joker and Harley Quinn figure, and they looked awesome. Just as good as the AA joker figure. But she's removed the photo now ?
  18. No I don't think that area would be big enough anyways, but they did announce that TopGolf would be between the enterances of MW and AOS. Regarding the wooden coaster, I was talking in general terms for bush fires and the coasters, I know it's unlikely for that area, but you never know.
  19. Is a woodie coaster even possible in Australia, with the high temperatures wouldn't the wood be expanding in the heat? and high risk of bush fires. Not the most ideal style of coaster. Along with the costs of them, I doubt we'll ever see a wooden coaster in Australia.
  20. Not just that gravel space, but going into the green space to the left. I think that would be a sufficient amount of space, but not 100% certain.
