  1. Our parks seem to love pointlessly long attraction names "Wild West Falls Adventure Ride" instead of just Wild West Falls "Justice League 3D - The Ride" instead of just Justice League (Perhaps Justice League 3D) and the worst offender "Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster Next Generation" if that was on a T-Shirt they couldn't sell any size under 2XL or the name wouldn't fit. I can't wait to go back to Disney and ride "Space Mountain Intergalatic Coaster Ride" and "The Pirates of The Carribean Adventerous Boat Ride" I don't hate the name Tailwhip or even Tailwhip 360⁰ but it doesn't need the spinning seat in my eyes. My guess is they included that so people didn't get confused it was a completely different attraction.
  2. "TAILWHIP 360⁰ SPINNING SEAT Looks too intense for me" Seriously though it looks amazing, and the fact it's freespin means every ride (that you can afford) is gonna be completely different.
  3. I think the biggest issue with VRTP and celebrating the 50th anniversary is at this current moment in time it feels like even they don't know what the park is today or it's trajectory past the next 6 months. Will it settle in as the family park of the chain, how many thrill seekers will it pull over from MW with their 3 new rides and how will those crowds settle once the initial hype wears down sort of thing. I wouldn't be surprised if when everything is done they tied a "50th Birthday Celebration" into the New Atlantis official opening period. Disney is currently showing us you can celebrate a 50th for 18th months and it's fine.
  4. Is that the only part of my post you read? The next sentence literally explains that I'm talking about people in general who ask for those rides to be "brought back" and what they generally mean by that (bring back a modern version of that ride)
  5. Please tell me in my original reply where I said you? My reply is literally about you saying to build a replica only making one person happy, I refer to the more than that one person... My statement does not make sense if you assume I was talking about you and that being your opinion so why would that be the case. Looks like we know who can't read or understand how conversation flow works...
  6. Why would they just build an identical version of a ride they closed? Of course when people are suggesting a log ride to be brought back to Sea World they are talking about a modern version not just reopening Viking's Revenge as is. Viking's revenge was a favourite attraction that crossed demographics. I can assure you more than one person would be happy if it was brought back.
  7. The post that apparently set you off was saying "Here's the zero car!" which is literally what it is, the completion of the Zero car via the addition of the themed cowl...
  8. Coasters can last for a very long term if politics, maintenance and economics are kind to them. You wouldn't put a coaster unless you expected to be able to spread that expenditure over a good period of years of operation. I can't imagine even internally they would put a use by date on a brand new coaster yet to open. Biggest thing going against it will be it's a first of it's kind model from a manfucaturer that hasn't been without it's maintenance nightmares in the past but it's lifespan should be in the decades if nothing else comes against it.
  9. Adventure World's CEO Andrew Sharry has posted an appology on their social media pages. Still lots of anger in the comments, nothing like a CEO needing to talk to a specialist to know shaming someone over their body is wrong but anyway...
  10. It seems to be cool to hate on Millenium Force in the Enthusiast community but I found it an amazing ride. It's the same as anything, because it's popular and won the Golden Ticket so many times for best coaster people want to go against the grain and hate on it. While it's not my favourite coaster in the World it's far from forceless or boring.
  11. VRTP seems to be using very similar wording for their promotion of the deal, wonder if it's coming from ExperienceOZ to just have "Gold Coaster" somewhere in the post as the only eligibility statement.
  12. Wayback machine says otherwise, you can go back to the rides opening season and this is the ride information - Even for the 2018/19 season the ride information board looked like this I can find it being introduced in the 2019/2020 season, but this is hardly since opening day?
  13. So because I too much time and not enough to do, I went through the ride restrictions for the other 24 Euro Fighters in the World, including the incredibly named "Eurofigther" in Italy (Not a typo). The closest I could find to any form of restriction based on anything more than height was the following from Six Flags Over Georgia's Dare Devil Dive: "Due to the design of the seating & safety device on this ride, exceptionally large or tall people may not be able to ride." There's no way this has come from Gertslauer and no way that ride can only take 600kg a cycle. Roller coasters have test seats not scales...
  14. Yep 100%, and you can guarantee it's the same type of person who will complain about having to watch ads on videos and then complain again when creators stop making videos as their return on investment (Time & Money) is no longer there. Most content creators don't go into it to make money but it sure helps you create more content...
  15. Yep, to me Bermuda was the perfect blend of Flume Ride and Dark Ride, where Storm isn't quite a full coaster or a full dark ride experience. It's the classic everything's replacement should be better than what it's replacing. If Storm went where the Battleboats are now it would have been better recieved by Enthusiasts I feel.
  16. Luna Park confirmed to be reopening on October 22nd for Halloscream and then will have it's first day trade the next day on the 23rd. I'll be there opening weekend for sure, excited to try out 8 of the 9 new rides! https://events.bigtopsydney.com/event/halloscream-9-curse-of-the-coven-2021?fbclid=IwAR0Nd9faVI757KMIJDPr4LQouLID4I9ESR4rNEnlStFysMrg9mkv2U0A2iU
  17. If you have watched every single one of his over 2,000 videos once congratulations you've probably given him about $15USD in Adsense, such great "support" though with YouTube Premium it could easily be a lot less.
  18. Yeah a unique one would be incredible, I just worry they'd go to the Intamin website, go to LSM Coaster and hit add to cart on something like this rather than paying for the custom layout
  19. They officially have the catchy name "Intamin LSM Launch Coaster", but both of the ones I've ridden have been incredible though I worry GP would just see it as "Steel Taipan again" depending on the layout they went for, even something like Maverick may be seen as too close to Jet Rescue (Even though they ride completely differently)
  20. The ride cost ~$24million Aud and uses about 25% less track, seems to add up to me compared to Taipan's $30million and that's not counting the extra cost of shipping and construction here in Australia.
  21. 6 people has always been the max preffered per group at Halloscream, I worked there in 2019 pre-covid and that was the case. The big thing that made for long lines last year was each group was just a single party, so my group was just 2 people, definitely made it a lot scarier but obviously made lines a lot longer.
  22. Jamberoo has tentative opening dates as the first weekend of October, but with them being counted in the Greater Sydney area I don't see them opening up before mid-October when the 70% double-vaccinated milestone is hit. I've heard talks that Raging Waters will be even later, looking at November at the earliest but most likely December unless things change significantly with staffing/restrictions etc.
  23. A park entrance serves as a guests first impression of the park. Think of how the Disney Parks are designed so that there is a slight incline as you enter so you don't see the castle until you round the corner of Main Street and it is revealed to you. Your first impression if of a turn of the century Train Station with a giant Mickey Smiling up at you. At Sea World your first impression is "BUY PHOTOS, DOWNLOAD OUR APP, BUY OUR UPCHARGE EXPERIENCES" not exactly a welcoming sight when you're bombarded with information cluttering up the neat and clean entrance the park used to have.
  24. Which is honestly what our parks should be charging at the GC with similar inclusions/restrictions
