  1. Well, not active - was all about having a dig at AlexB and his sudden interest in the clearance of the Monorail. Got to agree @AlexB, I probably would too. I did originally support that person who's name we can't mention, as they just seemed to be poor at getting their message across. But it became clear after time that wasn't the case.
  2. Hang on, @AlexB is obsessing about the monorail! Perhaps push was really just his other personality all along 🤪😂
  3. My recollection is it is very tight as well at the exit of the plaza.
  4. Does the vehicle have to travel that far in, to allow the rear row to see clearly perhaps? It's also about witnessing the arrival of the fleet from Hyperspace.
  5. It failed back in January 2017, but no idea of the lifespan of the chain. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4108046/Dozens-stuck-Arkham-Asylum-roller-coaster-Movie-World-Gold-Coast.html
  6. Truth be told, I wanted to see it on the 55 inch TV, but knew she'd be blown away by it too.
  7. Having never ridden GD, I take it the elevated pathway is necessary to access the ride, or does it then descend inside the building to a lower level? Basically, could they remove all that raised walkway without ultimately affecting ride access?
  8. Cast the video posted during the day yesterday, onto the TV to show the Mrs - didn't warn her what we where going to watch. She was gobsmacked before the ride even made it to the AT-AT room. Apparently we are going to Disney sooner than I thought!
  9. I'd hazard a guess it is quite simple, the panel he 'cuts through' is actually moving to reveal the pre-cut hole, and the light saber lowers through to complete the illusion.
  10. If you plan on riding it in the next year or so, don't watch it! Don't spoil it for yourself. Will be years before I get the chance, so I watched it. Wow.
  11. I'm going "Princeton Orange" based on these colours https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shades_of_orange
  12. Disneyland Paris in 2008 - first overseas trip. Only had a day there, but was in October so fairly quiet.
  13. The whole place looked really bright from the highway when we went passed yesterday, good to see them sprucing it up to match the new slides.
  14. If this was Movie World, they'd still be ignoring its existence.
  15. Just watched a video of that Turbo Track, 10km/hr might be accurate 🥱
  16. I treat it like riding a motorbike, look where you are going next. That makes you use your neck muscles and stop getting thrown about. Leg squishing, when you load keep the harness slightly higher (~1cm), and push up with your legs when they check it. It still moves down throughout the ride (particularly on the high G part back passed the station) but it won't be as tight at the end.
  17. Slow load times on a quiet day is a good way to fill the ride up, and operate it less frequently = less wear.
  18. I think it's because the system looses track of its position on the way back to the station, causing the magnetic braking timing to be out of sync, so it runs into the mechanical emergency brakes after the station. Still washes a fair bit of speed due to the uphill run. I could be wrong in my understanding though.
  19. Isn't DCR leased, rather than purchased?
  20. I never watched the movie when it was running, but recall it being quite small walking through it, maybe 30 or so people cinema?
  21. A few years back they did a series of videos about the park, two younger guys hosted it. One of them was about changing the warning light on the top of the tower (I think) and showed inside. Stairs and I think a small lift?
  22. What are the chances the upper brake blocks have had much maintenance over the years... Probably slim
