  1. There appeared to be a drone above the NI loop on the video on Facebook?
  2. But if the face is not ready, then it is cheaper to remove and return. They'd be paying for the crane everyday it's on site, working or not, as it could be elsewhere making its owner money. There is a reason Uplift Cranes owns and operates 3 top fuel dragsters in Australia plus one in the USA.
  3. As @themagiciansaid. Cheaper to bring the crane back in a couple of weeks time, or use a helicopter or rigging to get it up.
  4. Would simply be an additional or increased inspection I suspect. Like when they find a previously unidentified fault in a plane, or one that occurs earlier than originally anticipated. When that plane lost the entire propeller recently near Sydney, all planes with that engine had to be inspected.
  5. I suspect some of the younger ones aren't aware of the term "drinking the kool aid", and that is why we can't have nice things?
  6. Shanks shallot Thankfully for the wife and I, we've got a friend who loves kids but hates roller-coasters
  7. Sea World, Wet n Wild, Australian Outback Spectacular etc don't mention the owner. Just like "DC Rivals Hypercoaster" has already lost the hypercoaster part amongst this forum. You would expect the IP costs of the branding of the park to be quite high, whereas the WB branded rides will be cheaper to maintain. Aside from the kids area, there's isn't much WB about the place.
  8. Perhaps, currently sleep deprived due to a two week old.
  9. On the live stream for the coaster today, they used village roadshow rather than WB at one point towards the end I recall? I'd suggest that a rebrand is coming, dropping Warner Brothers quietly. Everyone calls it "movie world" anyway.
  10. And they cut the video before it was even close to being in place!
  11. Looking at the test track, there is space between the two wheels on the top surface of the track for chain/brakes etc.
  12. Maybe that's why they are not the WB ones, they wouldn't last too long.
  13. The bit that protrudes to the right of red circle still needs to be installed prior to the final two pieces of track. Going to be interesting line that final join up, 60 metres in the air. Hopefully the two pieces aren't out by too much.
  14. Even the fixed tower cranes come down quite quickly. I watched one on a Sunday, cables, boom and weights off in a day, 13 stories up. Cab off the next Sunday.
  15. A tower centered around the highest point, with the track hanging out from it so as to appear even less supported would have been a more sensible approach you would have thought.
  16. My boss genuinely thought they'd done that when he saw the non inverting loop before the top centre piece was installed.
  17. My boy is on his last week now, but genisus at Warner started a week later, so still has next week to go. My colleague is sending her kids off to Sydney for a week.
  18. ^ Most, I know of at least one private primary school that has next week off here in Brisbane.
  19. Shanks shallot Hadn't seen that posted before so assumed it didn't exist. I'd hope VRTP put @docoaster on plane and seat him on the first public ride!
  20. Will there be a pure POV simulation made available? Be nice to see the ride without the constant camera angle changes.
  21. The Norwell location is flood prone and mostly acid sulfate soils. In 1999, my year 12 class did a large project on the proposed 4 runway international airport for the same location. They where talking of raising the ground 4 metres to get above the flood height. I don't remember their plan for the soil problem.
  22. Perhaps a drone shot or photo from the crane, from where the top of the will be looking out over the park would help?
  23. Thanks @jack.c. Didn't get to see the clip. No idea why someone down voted you for that.
