    Dreamworld February Update 2020

Will we see the HWSW be rebranded into “The Goldcoaster”.... only time will tell🤔 Is the new unnamed multi launch coaster going to be called “Hiss-Teria” or “Steel Taipan”???

Checked out SeaWorld yesterday. Due to the gusty winds both jet rescue and storm coaster were having a lot of downtime. The vortex site is still having the pilons installed. the shaded seating area at jet rescue has been removed with an extended que almost finished construction. Storm coasters theming has been removed! As you enter the building, all the collapsed shelving and boxes are gone. There is now a new concrete pad that extends from the que line to the edge of the track. Appears to also be a new extended que as per the chalk markings on the ground. Sky flyer is currently not down for maintenance but yesterday it seemed it was being pulled apart with scaffolding up around it and missing pieces.?

At Movieworld yesterday and hmm. Wild West has got 2 new op booths. These booths are now at the first turn table and at the bottom of the second lift hill. Really noticeable with the larg pieces of glass cut into the rusty shed. Anyone know how long they have been there. You could see the operators in both booths the entire day.
  5. From the manufacturer of our new woodie, a concept train is on show at IAAPA. Could it be our new trains??? P.s photos are not mine

    New Roller-Coaster for Dreamworld

Sky Voyager was planned for opening in December 2018 but is still yet to open and Ardent Chairman Gary Weiss was conspicuously vague about when this attraction will finally launch. Dreamworld have gone completely dark on the ride with no new information provided since December. For the six months to 25 December 2018 Dreamworld posted $12.4 million in losses off the back of $34.4 million in revenue, down marginally on $34.7 million for the corresponding period last year. They spent a further $17.4 million on development capital expenditure at Dreamworld in the six month period – costs largely associated with Sky Voyager. They do however have high hopes for the attraction based on supposed "pent-up demand" for the attraction. There are currently 14 relevant post on Instagram for #skyvoyager. Dreamworld are turning to "capital-light entertainment and events" instead of the major attractions they had previously announced or hinted at. Dreamworld has talked a multi-million dollar lazy river, a new roller-coaster-in-a-shed to replace Eureka Mounain, an amphitheatre has commenced construction in the former footprint of Thunder River Rapids and there are many other long-mooted attractions such as a revitalised Motocoaster. "I think it's fair to the say Dreamworld haven't really engaged [the local market] with events and activities," said Dreamworld CEO John Osborne. Competitors Village Roadshow Theme Parks run a successful calendar of events geared at locals including Fright Nights, White Christmas, Carnivale and Super Heroes & Super-Villains. In the months after the Thunder River Rapids accident Dreamworld rebranded their Screamworld night events as Park After Dark and ran a series of them before they were scrapped completely, suggesting that they never delivered the expected financial outcome. There is no apparent succession plan for the impending permanent removal of Wipeout or Tower of Terror II, two 20+ year old attractions of questionable reliability and with limited remaining lifespan. Mr Osborne talked about how he sees potential for Dreamworld to be a world-class leisure precinct, but with no capital expenditure on the horizon and cost cutting now rampant there's little evidence to suggest that this will ever happen. "We've put in place an annual expense reduction that will reduce expenses by $5 million each year," said Mr Osborne. The newly appointed CEO believes that Dreamworld can deliver this world-class theme park experience "on a much smaller footprint", with eyes firmly on excess and under-utilised land for non-theme park redevelopment. With attendance slumped yet again, $20-odd million sunk into a new attraction that is simply not swaying the public, and a retreat from all future capital expenditure, Dreamworld have gone from having a bad plan – hinged on attractions like simulators and lazy rivers that simply can't captivate the wider public or change Dreamworld's narrative – to having no plan at all. hmm. well, who is right and who is wrong??? Dreamworld (Ardent) or Parkz??

    DC Super Heroes & Super-Villains 2019

Love Bikash’s Instagram story from tonigh “Vegas is a shit fuck”. Well let me tell you MovieWorld was a “Shit Fuck” tonight. Rivals went down so many times it was beyond a joke. 2 trains running, however only 1 with people due to harness sensor issues. GL broke down around 6 and reopened just before close. While superman looked as if it was having issues as operating without people for periods of time. Somehow Scooby doo was fine???? That ride that was never open due to tech difficulties??? Seems like an advanced overhaul of its operating must of happend during its downtime last year🤔

    DC Super Heroes & Super-Villains 2019

In terms of characters roaming you need to be there between 6:30-7:30. This is when I noticed all the characters flooding Main Street. Definitely loads of entertainment from 6:30, however it is all on the northern end of Main Street.

    DC Super Heroes & Super-Villains 2019

Wow awsome. Dc rivals, super man, Scooby, GL were all operating with max trains😍 unfortunately there was almost no one in the park. Either the lines were work on or a 2 minute wait for the next train. Bonus, justice league was kept open for the entire night. As the night went on dc rivals, super man, GL faced a few tech issues. 1 train on SM was closed off to riders. Dc rivals lost a train due to a faulty harness not locking, and GL only lost a seat due to the harness problem. None of these impacted the line up situation wich was great. overall such an awsome event with the additional rides unlike last year. The parade and light shows were also a great effect.
