    SideWinder’s reopening has once again been delayed to the 30th of October.

    SideWinder’s appearance has been updated on Dreamworld’s park map. The map shows that the entire track will be painted in that aqua blue colour. Do you think this will be the final outcome?

    I personally miss the entire Gold Rush area at Dreamworld. I personally enjoyed being in a western themed area because in my opinion, there was a great atmosphere there. Unfortunately now the only thing that remains from the Gold Rush area is BuzzSaw.

    According to Blooloop.com, Disney fans are petitioning to the Walt Disney company for there to be a Disneyland in Australia. Do you think this petition will succeed? Or will it been ignored?

    Dreamworld is now selling tickets for Happy Halloween.

    FlowRider has returned to the website as a “Family Ride” instead of being a “Extra Activity” as it was listed before.

    From what I have heard, Splash Mountain is based on a controversial 1946 film “Song of the South” and there was a online petition to retheme the ride because of the racial stereotypes from the film it is based on.

    FlowRider also appears to be removed from the website.

    SkyPoint is reopening on 10 July and Dreamworld also announced on their Park Updates that Dreamworld will reopen before the September holidays and the exact date will be announced in the coming months. .

    The Play School Art Room has been also removed from the website.

    Dreamworld has released a new POV of the new coaster.

    You do have a valid point however with recent drone footages showing the park basically deserted and no construction works happening and very little updates from Dreamworld I’d argue that there isn’t much work happening with the exception of maintenance. I could be wrong though.

    It does look like “Sea Crete” are doing works on Wet n Wild as well as other Village parks. It’s a bit of a shame that not much is happening with Dreamworld during its closure with the exception of supports arriving. .

    The The Australian Financial Review stated two weeks ago that Dreamworld will likely open in August before the September holidays start.

    All Disney parks except for ECPOT in Florida are reopening on July 11, Sea World Florida are reopening on June 10, ECPOT is reopening on July 15 and Universal are reopening on June 5.

    Europa Park is reopening on the 29th of May including all 6 of its hotels. Masks will be required in all closed areas. Guests must social distance themselves at least 1.5m away from each other (there will be marks in place). Disinfection dispensers will be in place around the park and guests who has been in contact with somebody infected in the past 14 days or are showing symptoms will not be aloud in the park.

    I have found out for the last few months that many of the Wikipedia articles for the Gold Coast theme parks are VERY outdated. An example is the History of Dreamworld article. This article only shows the history of Dreamworld from its construction to July 2012. I, myself have been trying to update the articles as much as I can but I really have limited time. I don’t really have any knowledge about Movie World before the early 2010s so I’m just here to encourage and thank your work 🙂

    For a lazy river, I want to see something similar to the one in Adventure Cove in Singapore. One where you go pass a massive fish tank...... that’s probably out of Dreamworld budget however.

    If Australia can get the trust of the general public again then it could just happen one day. However that will take time to regain trust and will probably take several of years to. The chances of an in house River rapids in Australia is going to be very very low. A new more modern River rapids ride built by a manufacture would be a lot more thrilling and enjoyable than the old TRR. I would say the chances are unlikely because it is an enjoyable type of attraction but Australian theme parks probably just wants to move on from the accident.

    After Fully 6 opened, what do you think is the next waterslide to be be added to WWW’s collection? I would personally think a terrain based family slide similar to Krakatoa’s Revenge in Blue Lagoon would be a great addition to the park. I would also like more slides/attractions that can cater people under 120cm as many of the parks best attractions are for people over 120cm. I also have a feeling that The Rip may be the first slide from WWW to go as it’s had a lot of down time in previous months. What do you think?

    I found a park map from 1998. It could give a rough estimate of what the ride layout was. Also the Tower of Terror Skull looks like it was just burnt. Note that Creature Cruise is right above “Country Fair”

    Yeah I know but that was an activity. This thread is for sharing and discussing ideas of what theme it should have instead of showcasing your idea of a new themed area you have created and designing the rides .
