Actually attendances are falling at the US Seaworld parks, and I'm not sure what data you can use to show they are doing better Our park. You attendance can't be used, as even if you proportion it on population, you still can't account for the increase visitation/tourism to that entire area that brings people to their door

Buildings, a gate, and a moderate thrill flat ride. (A thread already titled 'Doomsday Destroyer' didnt register as being a place to gather That info ??)

@ClassifiedLlama I wouldn't call SW as failing.. one of their latest demographics is international tourists, the majority of which don't give a rats about rides, so the offerings for them are improving. They've invested in better food options and the new undercover area which goes some way to weather proof the park too. It also has the best kids/family offering of the VRTP parks. I agree is short probably 2 rides that look after the teen/adult demographic, but they are not failing

Whilst all funded by the same parent company, there is no doubts capex plans for each park individually allocated each year. Whilst I don't expect us to see a massive investment go into SW on the same scale as the new coaster as MW, I'm sure they have something up their sleeve in time for mid-late 2018.

I don't think the park is going out of its way to troll guests... (I'm sure that term has never been raised in a VRTP marketing meeting).

I don't think age has anything to do with the TRR tragedy, nor does the age of attractions increase the likelihood of incidents providing maintenance is occurring

Fairly common for any new attraction to go down for a short maintenance period once it's run up a few miles in its gears, in this case, after its first school holidays. Nothing to be concerned about

That's sucks @Theme Park Girl ive known a few people cop redundancies in the last couple weeks. Seems to be the time for it with financial strain and a lot of industries coming into a quiet holiday season. There is no stipulation with council zoning that you can't see a ride attraction, stipulations are only regarding noise, crowd movement etc.

@Jobe that's a fair opinion to hold. Maybe the reason the reason these other people are not 'called out' is because they never usually offer any quality of note to discussion, and @Jamberoo Fan certainly does. Anyways, I didn't mean to derail the thread. Let's move on

@Jamberoo Fan i love your passion, that you are detailed, you explain yourself. BUT... im not sure whether it's your style of writing or an actual belief, but you are increasingly coming across as a "I know more than you do" "holy than thou" contributor. We have @loki75 join the conversation and offer up some info he feels comfortable sharing, and whilst we all receive anything unconfirmed with trepidation and an element of skepticism, you wrote post after post, and long drawn out ones at that, basically telling him he's wrong, but at the same time admitting you haven't seen the plans yourself so are only guessing. You need to ease back, not in your number of posts or your effort to get involved in topics, most of your stuff is quality, but you are starting to really overanalyse and over critique to the point your posts have gone from adding value to the conversation to now being about trying to prove you know more and everyone else is wrong.

I didn't know the ride manufacturer was still a point of conjecture.. @MickeyD I've always thought a September school holiday launch would be best placed to allow them to maximise Christmas/summer attendance with holidaymakers

Well that's a world first - a rollercoaster with 3 names. Blue Beetles? Wtf... I'll tell you what, if that is the final name of the coaster when it opens in 12 months, I'll buy you a Parkz membership, for life. Clearly takes someone smarter than you to realise Mack coasters use the same basic foundation supports
