  1. Just like you tell how good a cake tastes by watching the instructional video on YouTube! I get it now!!
  2. If you remove the 'maybe' from that sentence you'd be right as well...
  3. I'm Happy with 3 minute cycles personally. Just don't go in school holidays
  4. Same. Non-school holidays and if you're waiting longer than 10-15mins there must be a tech issue. They churn em through pretty quick, partially due to the only 1 cycle rule
  5. Make sure your address is up to date in your profile so you get the Congratulations letter from the Admin Team and your '100 Posts' Parkz Badge
  6. What is that prediction based on?? 3 years is a LONG time in theme park industry (hell in any industry).
  7. Kingda - Arkham has never run 2 trains. Ever. They only have one. So if you saw 2 trains running, it was back when it was LW
  8. Well they usually let through 3 cycles worth of people, so a 15min wait would indicate 5min cycles.
  9. Evil Dead was great. Darkness lame. Walking dead was really well done, I hadn't watched the show until this year so wish I could experience them again now I can relate to the scenes.
  10. Was wondering, how can we incorporate a drop tower, into a water ride. Could we not just put the loading area for Giant Drop in a pool? I mean, if we can plant dirt & grow rocks, surely we can swim into the restraints of a drop tower? Or maybe the loading area submerges while you are going up the tower?
  11. Agree, the concept would probably work better if there was a fixed night vision camera in a maze broadcasting out to a big TV in the queue line showing people getting scared. I wouldn't go and sit down somewhere to watch it
  12. But then they could plant some water too and have a rock pool, surely that wouldn't be out of place at sea world.
  13. 1. Spin & spew with turbine theming 2. Looping/launch Roller coaster with turbine theming 3. Large water ride (must be able to be moved after 10 years to another area in the park when turbine theming doesn't fit anymore) 4. Drop tower (no turbine needed) 5. Taller drop tower (hence meaning no-on will ever ride on the first one ever again)
  14. Damned planted dirt!! Why didn't they plant some rocks? hell, why didn't they just plant a ride?
  15. Kingda Ka - when was the last time you saw a coaster moved to a different location in a park just because of theming? The park doesn't have billions of dollars to waste on re-locations. Oh, and it's nowhere near the 'western' area (which isn't really western). I agree Jobe that the day will come that the will have to do something with Eureka, but i think the issue has and will be the impact it has on operations at that corner of the park.
  16. Only 1 I saw was circus of the damned, pretty lame
  17. MDMC isn't going to be removed or moved. It's just not feasible. The whole notion of that should just be removed from everyone's thought process. Eureka would be incredibly difficult to manage in terms of demo and construction, without closing the whole area down, which them loses you BuzzSaw & Rapids.
  18. Was there a show in the Arena last year? I generally don't bother with the shows as I use the time I have for the mazes, which are generally quieter if/when a show is on. They have never really promoted the individual mazes as such, moreso the event. This year there has been wolf creek specific marketing. And remember it was only wolf creek and evil within that were open for the media night.
  19. Not bitter at all, but your arguments were contradicting each other. Everyone wishes the western area had another ride or two, specially a coaster, but the fact it's never happened or even been hinted at is a good measure that it's unlikely location to be utilised. Your suggestion of removing WWF is silly, because it's not even a slight possibility of being possible. There is no problem with you stating what you wish could occur, but at least be realistic. The park and residents have co-existed for a long time. There is about 50-100m of bushland between the two which acts as a sound barrier, and WWF isn't a loud ride. With a sound barrier installed on the final drop, it's basically silent to residents. Putting a coaster in would be completely different. Don't forget DW has residential areas within a couple of hundred metres of their boundary as well. It's not uncommon. I'll ignore the fact you called me deficient as a rookie childish error. You're new here, so may not be the Best idea to insult people who have been regular posters for Years. You are saying doomsday shouldn't be built as it's too similar to batwing. The similarity begins and ends with them being tower rides. Doomsday isn't even a launch tower. My comparison to DW was that you may as well say if you have a ride that runs on a track, don't bother building another one. Anyone thinking the tallest ride on the Gold Coast landscape wouldn't be a crowd drawer isn't thinking clearly.
  20. Closest thing I would compare it to locally would be Scooby (disco room section), in squishy mine carts too small for non-slim adults to sit 2 across comfortably.
  21. So your issue is there is only 2 attraction in the western area, so you want to knock it down and build, wait for it, another attraction. 1-1+1=1. You also said you don't want it knocked down, then twice suggested it. WWF is a great family attraction, it doesn't need to, nor will it, be demolished. There is room for a couple of solid flat rides if the area was re-vamped that is all. Yeh, lots of the people live out the back of MW/WnW, it's called Oxenford & Pacific Pines, some of the biggest growth areas on the GC. Why would that surprise you? Doomsday wasn't a pipedream, it was a concept/idea. No evidence whether it is still or ever was a truly viable option for the park. The ride is nothing like Batwing, well no more so than using the argument that DW should never build another coaster because they have Cyclone
