The Movie World FB page posted about the Terror Tour a couple hours ago, and confirms park entry is NOT included in price. Think that's a bit much really...

I like it!

No real pattern to Screamworld. There's 2 this month which I've never seen happen before

Uni's are lecturing about maze locations for a night time event at a theme park? What course? Event management? Architecture? What relevance does that detailed info even have to any field of study?

Lolman, for the benefit of everyone on this forum, is there any chance before you reply or post comments that you can re-read your post and check it for spelling/grammatically errors. No one expects people to use proper sentence structure, or minds the occasional typo, but that last post was littered with errors, which really takes away from whatever point you are trying to make. As for Dreamworks easily comparing to WB Kids at MW, I'd say it's categorically, indisputably about a gazillion times better than WB Kids.

Think we'll see 2 more refurb/makeovers at DW in 2015 - River rapids and rocky hollow. That's about it. We'll get a major ride (big 10 thrill ride) in late 2016 imo

Even that's an assumption!

MW Mini Driving School - Officially Confirmed

Not sure what your first paragraph meant, but my translation of it seems to indicate nothing new. I somehow doubt tailspin and driving school are targeted at the same demographic, so saying 1 is better than the other is pointless. 9.1 - so how did it lose the 0.9? And that's a strange score given that is less than a point off perfection... -

Did you not see the photo of the child that doesn't even fit in the restraints? He looks 2 years old, max. The operators are culpable instantly by that photo alone. A freak accident? The accident was a result of 1 of 2 things. Equipment failure, and by all reports there are 2 safety systems (lap bar & seat belt) so therefore failure of 2 safety systems which can only indicate poor construction or maintenance; or 2, operator error/carelessness with not checking or adhering to manufacturers height requirements, inattention to the operation of the ride (delay and/or lack of use of e-stop). And no, they are not as safe as fixed theme parks rides, no matter what you say. -
So your rationale is because it hasn't happened in America, it won't happen? Commercial airliners hadn't been used as missiles before 9/11 either. I hate Abbott, but talk about not understanding what he said. Firstly, Islam isn't a state, but that's not what he was referring to. He was referring to the Islamic State extremist group that is currently doing the beheading of journalists and killing non-Islamic people amongst many other things. They call them self Islamic State, and Abbott was commenting that we should be calling them 'state' as that gives them a air of hierarchy or importance or representation just by nature of the word State.

Think everyone knows what a carnie is... It's called stereotyping. -
You would assume they would use a hardy wood that has a higher combustion temperature. Not sure if some sort of fire retardant lacquer or treatment is applied, but to be honest id say that would be doubtful.

Theme park rides don't have to be eyeballed every day or week for structural weakness, because they are cemented/bolted/welded into a fixed position. The fact that carnival rides need to be eyeballed daily/weekly in itself is in response to the fact that due to the nature of their construction, there are more problems or issues that could arise with them, hence making them less safe. -
Stopped drinking MT Dew once the caffeine was added. Just didn't like the taste anymore

I'm not saying that are technically more unsafe, I just think the speed at which they are constructed and the frequency means that things could/may be rushed at times, shortcuts taken. I don't have any solid stats to back me up, but I'd certainly disagree that they are safer or as safe as their theme park counterparts, who generally have the manufacturer or representative of the manufacturer check over the ride prior to opening, which certainly doesn't happen every week for carnival rides when moved. Maybe it's the fact I can recall at least 5 deaths/serious injures in the past 5 or so years on carnival rides, vs zero deaths/serious injuries at the GC theme parks that makes me believe this. You are right, I am certainly more likely to be killed/maimed in my car each day, but I have to drive my car, And I don't have to ride a carnival rides when I can just go to Dreamworld for a better, safer selection? -

Have to say whilst I've always thought this would be a solid attraction for its demographic, I'm surprised at how detailed it is and the finished product. Interesting that if kind of can be 'bumper' style, i thought it would have been more of a flow through style where head on's wouldn't be possible. It seems from that video You can kinda just drive wherever you want? And how does the ride finish? Are the cars scattered everywhere and You just have to walk around and find one? -

What an absolute tragedy. Have always had an issue with going on carnival/fair rides to the point I just won't do it now, nor will I allow my son to when he is of age. Think it came back to a ride on the Sizzler when I was about 12 when halfway through the ride I realised I could lift the lap bar, which wasn't locked in place. I just don't trust a ride being continually constructed/dismantled. -
Whilst i'd like to believe that a theme park would not be a high risk target here or overseas, I think you are living in a bubble if you honestly believe there is a non-existent threat to Australia. That or living in a state of denial. Why raise it now then? I have no doubt with the G20 in Brisbane later in the year our nation is at risk.

It's pretty basic once the kids get used to the gear shifting and hill starts. Reverse parking in Main Street in a real bitch though -
Harf isn't a word A witch flies on a broomstick I don't believe the ownership makes much difference at all, VRTP has delivered some great rides & attractions since taking over

I'm talking in general, obviously different promotions effect weekly sales volumes, as usually they switch between Pepsi/coke brands weekly, but as an annual average is what I was walking about
-
As reanimated said, strange assumption. I know plenty of people who prefer Zero. Pepsi Max does outsell Pepsi 5:1 though in supermarkets, and outsells Coke Zero by over 20:1. 2nd highest soft drink sales behind Coke Plenty of places have Pepsi post mix too, including Pizza Hut, KFC, Sizzler, Reading Cinemas

Sounds like a lot of effort for a function. Given you seem to be in the know, care to elaborate?
