  1. Does anyone think that the makeover of 2 major attractions as opposed to 'rides' may point towards something other than a ride being the additional to Wipeout? DW Theatre perhaps. I know rides are also attractions and it could very well be another ride getting a facelift. I hope it is cyclone or MDMC. Not sure what you could do to GD to re-furb it other than the queue house. Surely there is no way they can fit a major thrill ride into the Reefdiver footprint. Not a decent one anyway. Fingers crossed for a mine ride replacement. Excited to finally see something new in WWW as well
  2. Oh, I forgot, heaven forbid you disagree with lord of the forums AlexB Mate, you are a dead set tosser of the highest order. I voice my opinion (hey, thats generally what forums are for) and whilst others disagree with me (and that's fine) you take it to an insulting level. If that's how you respond to people in the real world when having a differing of opinion, I honestly feel sorry for you as you will live a very lonely and unfulfilled existence. Your cowboys antics on these forums are getting ridiculous. Go f**k yourself
  3. By branding I mean that I think Carnivale is a poor choice of name, given the connotations that come with it in reference of the Brazilian carnival. I think many people/families may feel due to the name that the content may not be family friendly enough and hence decrease potential visitation. I personally would not take a young child or even a young teenager to carnival. Yes this is different, but word associations are important. I think Fiesta (if they wanted to keep the 'South American flavour in the name) would be a more appropriate name.
  4. I believe it could be an amazing thing too, I just think it could be branded better that is all... The concept I think is great
  5. The great gremlins adventure closed well over a decade ago, time to move on. Oh, and SDSC is a dark ride too, plus JL = 2, not 1.
  6. Maybe we got different impressions from the FoF survey. The differences I see to the actual carnival, in both reality and the media driven 'ideal', were more so around details rather than the overall theme. Again, hard to go into detail due to not being able to talk specifics. Either way I think any after-hours event added to the current offering is a welcome addition
  7. Tbh it didn't sound very Brazilian carnivale themed... Don't want to say too much as I do take the confidentiality of FoF pretty seriously...
  8. Agree with Alex B. MW has a very poor offering of options for younger kids. I themed indoor area with numerous rides would re-invigorate WB Kids land
  9. Wouldn't fit inside the cyclone turbine room IMO (and why would you get rid of such an awesome specimen of a turbine). No idea where it is though, sold off im assuming it's been gone since AvP opened
  10. Sounds good and with a decent programmer should be not too hard to implement
  11. Well that's a blatant generalisation. I've scanned barcodes on my smartphone at Dreamworld, WWW, football matches and bowling alleys
  12. Generally don't it was an oversight. And How exactly do you open it when your smartphone is in the locker??
  13. The same wristband at multiple parks? C'mon... The amount of infrastructure required to set that up would outweigh the uptake. Movie world already has all day lockers. Surely you didn't arrive at the park at 4:45, just get an all day when u arrive. The locker systems have a fixed value to them, they would have to manually re-programmed to change pricing, so you are not going to get different price points in a day. As for complaining about drink prices... Have You been to a sporting event, cinema, concert?? That's just what you need to expect to pay these days unless your buying from Coles or McDonalds
  14. Don't make excuses, that ball went straight through to the keeper...
  15. And those that may or may not have attended the focus groups regarding a certain attraction...
  16. Disclaimers, whether in a theme park, cinema or anywhere do not cover the business for failure of their duty of care. The legal process determines if that is breached regardless of any sign, or even a signed waiver
  17. Haven't watched it, doesn't interest me in the slightest. Sorry for getting the wrong time period, but makes no difference to my point. Also thanks for adding some useful constructive input to the conversation, which is after all about theme parks not literature
  18. WWF has a story?? What is it? Why are you travelling through a mine? in a boat?
  19. Dreadful idea imo... speed in that style of ride would require space, which is limited, and the theme and how premise is just no fresh or exciting in the slightest
  20. The dinosaur is gone... Must have washed away
