? And where was the carpark going? Under the Bermuda volcano?
-
Thanks for the review! looking forward to heading along next Thursday night which I am hoping will be quieter than fri/sat nights. I always park in Phillip park carpark across the road from the entrance. Holds about 80-100 cars and I’ve never Had an issue getting a park around 5:15-5:30. It’s only a few mins walk, and then it takes all of about 2 mins to get out at the end of the night.

Press Release Ignite Your Senses at Sea World Carnivale
Brad2912 replied to Parkz News's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Glad you made it back from the future Marty.... -
Happy to report that the WWF queue now has numerous bins throughout, and the scenes of a week ago with rubbish strewn everywhere are gone. I did email the photos i took to park management, however I am sure they were already aware of the issue, just glad something has been done

**issued appears to be resolved**

Thought it was a lot of fun. Little bit risqué and a bit of adult humour involved, but colourful and entertaining For the kids. we’re planning on checking it out a second time before it finishes.

You really enjoy making broad and sensational statements without any real fact or rationale behind them... -
Village theme parks extended trading hours
Brad2912 replied to Gold Coast Amusement Force's topic in Theme Park Discussion
My guess would be a corporate function has booked the park -
Yeah it was discussed a couple of weeks ago in another thread (probably the old Off Topic thread). I found it to be fantastic viewing, loved every minute and have actually watched a lot of the eps twice now as my son loves it so keeps watching it again as kids do

Black Hole is reopened for anyone interested.
-
Where is this temporary pool going that wouldn’t require substantial groundworks, approval processes, landscaping, paths? filler attraction means it adds value without much outlay... what you are describing is not filler.
-
You clearly have never been to Wet n Wild if you are suggesting they have the ability to have high speed boats and jet skis at the park...
-
Pretty sure motorbikes cost slightly less than a new slide and tower... it’s about planning. clearly the current major capex program is for SW. until that’s completed I reckon we’ll only see fillers at the other parks

Village theme parks extended trading hours
Brad2912 replied to Gold Coast Amusement Force's topic in Theme Park Discussion
@Levithian You are claiming closing time is 6pm. It’s not, closing time is 5:30. If people are on rides or in queue at 5:30, sure they can stay until they ride, but the park is closed effectively at 5:30. You keep throwing 6pm around which just isn’t true. If I go to the park at 5:35, I won’t be allowed in, therefore it’s closed. -
Fully 6 and the new coaster would have been well into planning and contracts more than likely in place well before Greg showed up, especially for the coaster.

Movieworld definitely on the Monday. Most people will be back to work by then so crowds will begin to drop, but if you go sunday you get all the locals as well. none of the park discount via third party resellers Anymore so cheapest pricing you’ll get in directly from their websites (gate pricing is higher). I believe both offer Afterpay now so you can pay for your entry in instalments if that makes it easier. NRMA and motoring bodies offer a small discount on 3 park 3 day passes but given You only want MW from the VTP group it’s pretty useless. MW does have fast pass, available for purchase online or at the photo centre when you enter the park, if you do online, again you can afterpay these in terms of times, be there at rope drop and head to whatever your most favoured or anticipated ride is (i would suggest DCR as with only 1 Train operating it blows out fast). Then head to back of the park for WWF as Generally this isn’t busy first thing as everyone gravitates to the closer proximity to entry rides first. Have an early lunch Or snack on the go so you can take advantage of shorter lines while everyone else stops to eat. Skip Stunt Driver and again enjoy a small drop off in queues during the show (same applies to the parade time if you are happy to miss this). Ricks is the best value and quality in the park imo... but that requires a solid 30-40mins of time to make the most of, so it would depend on how your day is going for timing

Village theme parks extended trading hours
Brad2912 replied to Gold Coast Amusement Force's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Was there today. Park definitely closes at 5:30. Most lines closed between 5-5:15 from what I saw. also not sure where 6pm comes from -
WWF has had an unexpected stoppage this afternoon. Entered the queue at about 3:45pm and the line was through the outdoor switchbacks, within 10mins an announcement went over the ride that it would be stopping temporarily and to stay seated. Stoppage lasted about 40mins whilst people were taken off and then for testing. Has just reopened. in other news, people are f**king pigs...

Death of female polar bear Liya at SeaWorld
Brad2912 replied to Rabbit2014's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I don’t think polar bears are particularly ageist... if the males are still alive I’m sure they’ll give Mishka a run in a few years when she’s ready... -
Rivals and SkyVoyager are by far the highlights of the decade. Nick Land at SW in third for its fantastic family offerings, the best on the coast. The improvements in DW over the last 18 months are also a shining light, in terms of cosmetic and additions (Halloween, holiday entertainment options etc). the lowlights for me being SDSC 2.0, the lack of upkeep on some cherished attractions (TOT2 and WWF of note), log roofs, and lack of any quality shows at our parks (stunt driver has long run its course, as has any show SW seem to produce, the DW Madagascar show hasn’t changed in near a decade). VTPs evening programs have dipped in the past 3-4 year. FN’s needs reinvigorating, Carnivales move to SW was poor decision making (made up slightly by the Aquacolour program, which hopefully lifts again in 2020). i think the landscape will be far different in our parks in another 10 years with many notable rides having been retired (HWSW, AA, RHLR, the entirety of MWs kids area apart from RR and JDS, possibly GD, WWF even may be gone if they don’t give it some love soon). Atlantis will be in full swing, DW will have added 2 coasters, I think 2020-30 will be the biggest decade of change for our parks in their histories, should be a fun ride. The potential ownership change for VTP could impact plans, and who knows what Ardent has planned long term for DW...

Superman & DC Rivals only running single trains

How vague... if what is true? It’s a picture - so i’d assume it’s true?? And of what relevance is that train to our parks? -
