  1. Wrong... completely wrong... Cash & eftpos (savings/cheque) has no surcharge. Pressing credit, or using paywave (which processes payments as a credit transaction) brings an attributed processing charge depending under your card provider (it's not a fixed fee, it's a % of the total purchase cost) Movieworld (like most big business these days) uses an integrated POS system. You can't forget to press EFTPOS because then it wouldn't activate the EFTPOS terminal to pay. The POS system speaks directly to the terminal, as opposed to user input where the cashier types in the amount to be paid. This takes user error out of the equation. It's either a intentional or accidental software issue.
  2. I'm not aware of the actual wording in the relevant law, but unnecessary doesn't mean illegal. It's unnecessary for me to eat dessert after dinner, that doesn't mean I can't if I want to.
  3. Hyper's may not need inversions, but I'll be disappointed if we won't get one with this coaster. SE is a great inversion-less coaster, but I think one of the top 2 coasters in the park should have them. Just my opinion.
  4. You know what they should do, announce that they will start dropping hidden hints/clues and then pick a random car in the car park tomorrow and put a piece of paper under the wipers with the coaster design (no words/dates/distinguishing info) on it and see if said piece of paper makes it to the mainstream media (or better yet, here). Do it everyday, increasing the number of cars daily. Good little social experiment to see who pays attention to junk flyers on their windscreen and will just toss it or not put 2 & 2 together even if they look at it. (I've seen many posts on Gold Coast based social media accounts who have no clue what the development is that currently happening, least of all that it's a coaster) I reckon it would be well over a week unless they lucked out and put it on one of our cars.
  5. I'm still trying to work out how the ground was saturated and storm clouds in the sky this morning at Oxenford when 8kms away where I am it was 32 degrees at 9am without a cloud in the sky and no rain overnight.. weird. What sorcery is this?
  6. I'd imagine staff being satisfied with ride safety would be secondary to the official checks? And if the rides have been Greenlit by the relevant auditors, why wouldn't staff be satisfied?
  7. POPs post has been deleted which kind of takes the context away from my reply post above. Just so everyone knows I wasn't just randomly preaching my thoughts on the mourning process
  8. Everyone is sad, everyone is shocked, but in time you will get over it, as will everyone. That's meant in no disrespect for the families & friends of those lost, but as a reality. At some point, life forces you to move forward and leave things behind. Not forget, but no longer dwell. if it truly has effected you as much as you constantly post about @POP, then you should speak with your GP and get some help - that's not a dig at you, that's a sincere suggestion
  9. Unless the hotel is 300m wide, it won't be blocking the sight lines. I wouldn't be surprised to see the hotel purposely built in the northern most area of the grass (closest to Kopps rd) to ensure sight line visibility is minimised
  10. Well the government wouldn't pay for it, it would be MW/VRTP's cost - the government benefits nothing from installing sound barriers. The issue though is that the M1 at the point where it passes MW is an overpass over the Helensvale Rd/Entertainment Dr intersection, as well as the onramp Northbound. Whilst sound barriers are possible in this scenario, they'd look hideous from Enterainment Rd, and remove the sight lines to the park from the M1
  11. I prefer my lists in chronological order...
  12. Pounce & Bounce has no maintenance area, let alone a place to install a handrail. My guess would be Road Runner as it's the only kids ride with a Back of house maintenance bay
  13. If the footings are upside down are they called headings?
  14. There ya go... I was wondering what that screenshot was.. nice little Crew feature! Like it!
  15. A lazy river through where? The TRR channel? Fantasic idea... ?
  16. Or just buy an annual pass for a friend who hates rides and make them hold your shit while you go on rides... simples...
  17. Non-consumer would mean back of house imo.. so an issue with a maintenance bay/transfer track or the like..
  18. Having an issue with one ride doesn't mean they won't buy from that manufacturer ever again. Mistakes can be learnt from, it's as if S&S have a worldwide poor reputation for near misses
  19. As awesome as a movable locker sounds, I really don't feel like pushing it from one ride to another....
  20. Agree, I don't think anyone can point the finger at Ardent for under-delivering on expectations anytime recently
  21. do you really want to give them an excuse for slower loading/despatch...
  22. Why not link it to the NFT bracelets from the villains area? $5 per day for use of lockers at SE, GL & the new coaster (unlimited use but 2hr max per opening)
