  1. Current status of the site from Theme Park Worldwide's DC Rivals backwards video
  2. Lots of theming and branding directly related to Dreamworks is starting to be removed from the area It's mostly effected Kung Fu Panda so far: Images of the Furious Five characters have been removed from Pandamonium's carts RIP Mr. Ping Gingy's Gliders but there's no Gingy The background's gone from this Shrek photo op Markers can be found throughout all three areas on the ground
  3. At Dreamworld yesterday they rode Steel Taipan before the park opened, then went back outside to the park entrance and queued with everyone else for the park opening. Guess they did something similar for Rivals!
  4. The rumour may have come from this Jaggs video, where he does some speculation by Superman. Would Surfrider even fit in there? Disney refers to their RC Racers rides as Coasters. Same ride system!
  5. There must be something about the DC event that gives Rivals and Superman better operations 😜
  6. This is the same park that called a ride "Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster: Next Generation" 😜
  7. The mist curtain was indeed working! Pretty sure the spaceship section had music.
  8. Got a ride on Justice League yesterday. The guns worked! Pretty much all of the effects seemed to be working too (except the Flash wind effect). One taped off vehicle though:
  9. Super excited to (hopefully) get that Leviathan night ride!
  10. Honestly? Not really. But I think it still matters. Having as many attractions as possible open while keeping the queues as low as possible will help keep guest satisfaction up and increase the chance of return visits / positive word of mouth. Also good to be ready if they find themselves in a position where it *does* matter. It all adds up.
  11. Yeah, creates a few eye sores here and there but it helps with capacity and ride availability. I guess one trumps the other. Hrmm, speaking of which... maybe the Madagascar section will remain open while they work on the Shrek / KFP areas. Makes sense with the new Parent's Centre being there - looks like that could open relatively soon. They probably don't need to close the area to get the re-theming done, as the two current attractions are (supposedly) only getting minor re-themes.
  12. Something's not quite right... .... so anyway. Yeah, I hope the Boats come back!
  13. (Didn't see a dedicated thread, so here we are!) The Dreamworks Store transformation into the new Parent's Centre is well underway \ Escape from Madagascar's Ride Sign has been removed The "Beware of Ogres" sign has also been removed by Shrek, leaving a hole. Semi related- watched the Wiggles show and Kenny and Belinda seem to have a new look: A couple weeks ago:
  14. Closer to Scooby; if you can do that you can probably do Leviathan. I'm in the early 110kgs with a pretty large waist and was able to fit, but it felt close.
  15. I visited the park tonight for White Christmas and JL was down for tech issues. Not sure if it reopened.
  16. The ride was down for most of the afternoon, but finally got back up and running around 5pm. The staff said they'd make sure everyone in the (long) queue would all get a ride, which was great to see. I got a back row ride this time (rode on the middle row before) and the experience was significantly better. Very, very fun. I didn't really notice the airtime before, but this time I did! Can't wait to ride it at night at Carnivale. That thing is likely going to haul like crazy at the end of a hot day!
  17. \ With New Atlantis opening the signs have been updated.
  18. Just came off. Loved it! Felt a little slow though so looking forward to trying it later as it warms up. The theming in the station was terrific and gives me high hopes for Wizard of Oz. I'd go as far as saying it was world class. Have to be careful that it doesn't fall into disrepair like Scooby. One borked screen would ruin it. Edit: There is a test seat. It's to the left right as you enter the main queue.
  19. Yes, it has been successful. I meant from a branding perspective. I'm sure there were a few people who questioned why the market was being held at a closed theme park with seemingly no other relation. You go in and see more Dreamworld than Moonlight. The new branding makes a lot more sense for sure. Also opens the possibility of opening other rides (Steel Taipan) during the market down the line which is exciting.
  20. Don't they usually make prototypes before they sell to parks? You never know though...
