Yeah, I understand Trident and Leviathan being closed as they're either not ready to operate, or were rushed to do so, but Vortex by all accounts should be fine to operate. The only 'minor rectification' it needs is making the sign no longer read as 'Vowt?x'. -

The New Atlantis - Reviews & Reactions

Ride ops were mentioning to take issues up with Guest Services when it was barely operational on the first few days, but according to various social media posts, they've been largely unhelpful. Which I can attest to, about a different yet somewhat attached scenario I went through. -

You asked, verbatim: And I responded with many options of things that they could do. Not want, not need, could. And I made it clear I was specifically mentioning advertising that could be relatively easily held-back, i.e. digital advertising on websites & videos. Don't go making things up, that's what ruined the last thread. -

Make a post on their social media accounts, change their main website to correctly display that it isn't open, hold back on their advertising push (by that I mean, the advertisements that they can hold back on, like digital ones) til' it is operational again, offer refunds for families who already travelled to ride, etc. -

If it really is just going to become an argument all over again once operations are bought up, forget I said anything. As it stands, this is the topic for New Atlantis feedback, and unless a 2nd topic solely focused on it's operation is made/opened (that I'm not going to do, in case it heads the same way as last), this is the only place it's operations can be discussed. Edit: They're back on the maintenance page, now with images. -

I think they just really need to update their website quicker, cause Vortex & Levi still say they're open from Friday (which, if what everything else points to is to be believed, they haven't been for at least 2 days). Which, speaking of, the recent Google Reviews for Sea World also corroborate that they've been closed for those 2 days. -

From their Facebook, as there's no better source from people there right now -
They say that people with a Key get priority access to park events, and that they’ll get to vote on the future projects for the park, which is… something

Seafood allergies are usually split between a shellfish allergy (shrimp, squid, lobster, etc. Molluscs & Crustaceans.) and a general fish allergy. There has been recognized cases of mild-moderate anaphylaxis with seal & whale meat (meaning, Pinnipeds & Cetaceans, the latter being the group including dolphins), but they're more than likely not connected to any general seafood allergy (though, as far as I can tell, it's not explicitly proven). So an allergen probably does exist for dolphin, but it's unlikely to be connected to either of the common 'seafood' allergy subgroups. However, if you have a severe allergic reaction to fish (i.e. one including 'traces of'/coming into contact with fish), obviously that's what a dolphin's diet consists of, so that could possibly cause a reaction. I went way too much into this.

Technically, if this phase chart is to be believed, the 'in-park benefits' are a part of 'Phase 2'. Unless it's different in-park benefits, ofc

If the shown concepts are anything like the final product, I've gotta say Jungle Rush. It looks to be a nice, long, original layout, and seems like it could be as (or even, more) themed than Leviathan is. -
I'm young, and I still don't get it. It's just a very out-of-left-field choice, and I can't help but think (or, more accurately, hope) that it won't pan out well & they'll maybe just add some of it's 'benefits' to the One Pass.

Leviathan - Operations and Soft Opening Complaints

I say leave it open & maybe delete the recent back-and-forth, as time will tell what they do in the future/it's operation, but if it's just going to continue to be this circle of us saying the same stuff, then yeah, nah. -
Leviathan - Operations and Soft Opening Complaints

Mate, it's a joke. If we're talking about 'personal attacks' now, though, I seem to remember a now-deleted post where a certain someone said that 'common sense' is a rare thing in this thread. Back to the topic at hand: They tried, but some didn't. And, if the operating issues don't fix soon, that number will get exponentially higher. And it could've been much less if they had a later opening w/ a soft-opening period beforehand. Hence, the topic. -

Leviathan - Operations and Soft Opening Complaints

Not 'travelled for opening day', 'travelled for the holidays after being advertised new rides that are open'. My group bumped into at least 3 of those families, at Sea World Resort alone, after barely using anything the resort had to offer during our stay. And Bikash himself stated that multiple hotels around Sea World have been contacting them, praising them for a huge spike in room bookings that they're attributing to the New Atlantis opening. So that'd have to be 2 pretty damn large families, if so. -

Not the casual day guest, the holiday-goers and families who are taking trips to SW for the holidays as they're being bombarded with advertisements for 3 new, freshly open and ready-to-ride attractions. The casual day guest might see a soft-opened ride as open, barge past the A-frame, and get mad when it has a fault, but that's their individual fault for not reading the clear signs, and all an operator has to do is reaffirm what was already stated on said A-frame, and what most other guests already understand. But, again, as it stands families from across the country are making plans to/already holidaying on the Gold Coast, to ride 3 new family attractions that are as-of-yet not even known to be opening today. It's not the same. -

Anyone there today to confirm if they're open/closed, or do we just assume the maintenance page is bugging out? -
Leviathan - Operations and Soft Opening Complaints
Tricoart replied to Tricoart's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Yes, the crux of this whole conversation is about how the opening has been mismanaged, and how it ideally shouldn't be fully open in it's current state (i.e. held a soft opening w/ grand opening near Boxing Day), as it has led to the aforementioned mass disappointment. Not that they should chuck up an A frame now, or that they should remove any billboards/advertisements. -

But, in the event that it is a soft opening/technical rehearsal/passholder preview, they're not being told that the ride is open and ready to ride. You either know it's open because you're in the circles that'd tell you, in which case you'd know the caveats of a soft opening, or you're at the park and see the A frame saying it's in technical rehearsal before it's already advertised opening day, so you know you're lucky to have caught it and have seen that it's not in it's final form, and that issues are to be expected. -

And that they're marketing to families/holiday-goers across the country that these rides are open, having them come and pay those exorbitant costs for entry to the park, only to have the rides that were marketed to them be unoperational.
